Thread: I was doing great, until I fainted.

I was doing great, until I fainted.

    Today I fainted
I have been doing so well on HCG until today, I was standing in the kitchen at families house and I fainted. I woke up super thirsty and they told me to eat bread and crackers and Gatorade. I am so mad!!! If I wouldn't have fainted I would have gone no days without cheating! I have lost 8 lbs and I don't want to gain that back!
(I do have very low blood pressure and am anemic, I am not menstruating, but a few weeks ago when I was I fainted due to my BP being so low).

I think I am just mad I had to eat food And rest for a bit, I don't want to gain! I lost 8 lbs!

If you get light headed again, you can try some pink or celtic salt in a glass of water. (1/4 - 1/2 tsp.) That can raise your pressure quickly, and then stay hydrated. Also, your potassium and magnesium could be low. Its fine to supplement with those on the very low calorie days of HCG.

If you gain, it will come off again quickly. HCG does tend to lower blood pressure a bit. Since yours runs low naturally, its something to keep an eye on.

Yes, it's a common problem, unfortunately. Learn to recognize the warning signs and sit down immediately. Usually, just the act of sitting will raise your BP enough to keep you from fainting. Be careful though...some have hit their heads when fainting and that can be a real problem!

I was doing great, until I fainted.

Oh please do be careful. I got up at 2am for a drink of water. I slammed the bedroom door shut with my head going down. I was already on the mend in this pic.

Had the second episode of almost fainting today - standing up too quickly both times, I think my bp is falling down upon standing. Always had low bp prior to gaining weight, now it is back down low again because the diet. It is difficult to remember to rise slowly.

Try taking sea salt in warm water. that usually helps with low blood pressure.

Its important that you know to recognize the signs. Do what ever you need to do to keep from fainting and hitting your head. It usually levels out after stopping a round of hcg, but if not, talk to your doctor. There are medical therapies available. Salt will increase your blood volume a little...but not necessarily enough to solve your issue.

I was fine while I was on the diet (Phase 2), but since finishing up, I've had a few episodes of dizziness. My blood pressure has always been in the normal range 120/80 give ortake, and it seems to have gotten a bit lower since dropping 29 pounds in Phase 2. A couple of times, when I was bending down and then got up, I saw stars and thought I would pass out. Should I eat more salt??? I have Himalayan and sea salt. I also exercised during Phase 2, about 1-2x per week doing high intensity intervals, so I am sure that helped my fitness levels.

At the end of Phase 2, I also had a stress test with the bicycle, and, although I did really well on the test (outperformed well above-average) the cardio wrote in the report that I had Sinus bradycardia, but NO arrhythmia. Heartbeat was 59/min. Previously, in January during the EKG, it was 70/min. During the test itself, when they cranked up the tension and I had to kick up my efforts, my blood pressure was up to 202/73; on recovery, it was 107/76.

I'm wondering what I can do about this or if it will return to "normal." I plan to start another round in June (which will be a full eight weeks after the end of my first round) to lose the rest of the weight 15-20 pounds, but now I'm a bit apprehensive.

I wasn't taking any stimulants or anything, just multi-vitamins and minerals.

Anyone have any ideas what I should do? Thanks!

    *BUMP*

My resting pulse has gone even lower this round: It's down in the low fifties now for the past few days or so. Jan-March, and for the first week-10 days of my round, it was mostly in the sixties to about seventy-ish. It had been higher when I was heavier, but since I dropped all that weight in my first round last year, and was doing HIIT training and the like, I guess I have since became more "fit".

I haven't felt faint or weak or anything. I did have some trouble last week with my dosage/hunger and had to adjust downwards and that slowed my losses. I'm now at 125 IU and that feels comfortable. I've been sprinkling Himalayan and sea salt liberally on my food and even putting it in my drinks (mineral water, morning protein shake and "modified" Singing Canary, which is lemon juice, turmeric, pepper and sea/Himalayan salt).

I was diagnosed with and started treatment for adrenal fatigue about six weeks or so before I started this round. I've been feeling much better, so I wonder if that has had an impact on my pulse rate.

More than likely, your heart is just more efficient because of your workouts. Good job!
