    HCG and the flu?

Iím on day 4 of P2 and having great success. Lost 10.8 lbs so far. I have been achy and tired and was blaming the diet, but found out we were exposed to the flu. I took my daughter in to be checked and had a flu test done on myself just in case and I have it!

I kept up with the protocol and am wondering if the b12 and HCG actually made my flu seem milder.

Is it safe to keep going? Is it safe to take cold meds and tamiflu?

I guess it depends on how you are feeling. I dont think I could battle a sickness and stay on the protocol.

I'd take it day by day. You could have a mild case that it would be possible to weather, but if you get really sick its probably a good idea to stop and then try again when you are healthy.

As long as your medications aren't carried in sugary syrups, they shouldn't interfere with your progress.

On one of my rounds, I got the flu on my second loading day so I didn't eat as much but I still went ahead and continued taking my usual flu medication even on those first 2-3 VLCDs and kept on going with no issues that affected losses.

When I have the flu, I mostly eat soup and drink tea and hot lemon water. It's easy enough to make chicken soup with lots of garlic, onions, ginger and herbs and stay P2 compliant. Tea is also allowed. You can also have lemon juice.

I guess for me P2 is pretty much the same as what I eat with the flu.

But if you're feeling sick and can't get out of bed, you might just feel like delaying your hcg diet until you are well again.
