Need some info, please, if you take meds for HYPOTHYROIDISM!

I have been taking meds for HypoT for the last dozen years and also have nodules. Last year during a really high stress time, the nodules had babies so I had 3 on each side instead of 1. We were monitoring that closely and a checkup 6 mo ago showed a slight improvement - they were not growing.

Last week I had another check up - ultrasound and blood work - and was interested to see the results esp bc I had been taking HCG for a couple weeks. Well, the nodules were significantly reduced and the meds were off --- they had to be lowered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is fabulous news --- has anyone else experienced this? HCG Is the only variable I can see. If you have experienced this, did the halo last ? Did your meds have to be increased again when you went off HCG? I would be most appreciative if you could tell me your experience in this area. Thyroid issues are tricky. I dont wish to go to a lower dose only to find out that it is not correct when I am off HCG. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

HCG seems to fix some thyroid problems. It's mentioned in Pounds and Inches. Glad it helped! And when you get off, if you are on Synthroid, ask to be put on a compounded version of Armour. That works better.

Thanks so much, Colleen! I read a few posts that mentioned Armour. I will ask my Endo about it. He is very old school. I hope I can convince him. If not, I will need to find a new doctor that is more open.
