Exclamation For the women... Constant TOM while on HCG . HELP!

    Good Evening All,

I started hHCG on 11/23 and got my TOM the following Friday and had it for the next 14 days. It never stopped at all while I was on the first round. I just stopped the HCG 2 days ago (lost a total of 21 lbs) and sure enough my period stopped today. What makes it even more strange is that I have an IUD and do not even get my period normally because of the IUD.

Has anyone else had their period last them the entire time on HCG? Especially with an IUD? If so, why would this happen? It made me very nervous that I was doing something terribly wrong to my body.

I still have another 40 lbs to lose and I want to do another round in January, but this side effect scared me. I do not want to be doing something bad for my body.

    HELP!!!!

Did you get your5 hCG with a prescription? I would consult your doctor. Bleeding while having a IUD in is NOT normal- hcg should NOT make you have your period- (hence why women who are pregnant DO NOT get their period).

Hi...you are not alone...I did my first round in the Fall and it seemed like I can count the days I DIDN'T have my period on one hand! I was really scared the drops were screwing up my reproductive system but my naturopathic practitioner looked into everything, and she said no worries. She believed that all the fat being moved around and discharged from my body was releasing YEARS of toxins and hormones. The surge in toxins & hormones put my reproductive system into overdrive therefore causing me to constantly menstruate.

I am on round 2 now and have had my period for the last 11 days...sigh. I am going to my reproductive endocrinologist for my yearly checkup, blood tests, etc. when I am finished this round. I can let you know if she finds anything wrong but that won't be until the middle to end of March.

Keep posting about your situation, stay in touch. It always helps to know that others are experiencing the same problems/having the same issues.

Have any of you checked into the female hormone patch? Sounds like from your symptoms it would really help. sydierra in the hcg patch thread is posting all about it. maybe go check out her info.
