Very happy sber. Down 8 lbs this week, 4 of which were holiday gain, but that's still 4.

    Happy Monday everyone.

Robin, 8 is great, even if 4 were holiday gain. They are still off your body. Good job. I know you're happy.
This morning I'm 1 pound over LDW. I decided to eat cherries on Saturday and get the cravings out of my system before starting another round. I can't seem to shake that pound. Funny enough, I went to a great market for them and really looked forward to getting home with them. After eating 2 cups worth, I found I didn't like how I felt physically. I could feel my blood sugar go up. Yesterday my friends came for an American Crime mini marathon. They brought fresh pineapple. I had one slice, and fantastic as it was, I felt a bit funny again. Saturday night I had a slice of homemade chocolate tart and loved the flavors of the bitter chocolate (70%) it had no added sugar when preparing. Again, wasn't thrilled with how I felt. I had the same response to popcorn last weekend. I'm starting to hear my bodies signals more clearly.
This feels ground breaking for a former. compulsive eater. I feel like I'm learning. The next step is to leave things like popcorn alone. That's the hard part!

    Congrats robin!

Last: I have found the more I am away from fruit the less I both crave it or enjoy it.
I did throw 6 blueberries in my 3 T of fat bomb last night for my after dinner treat with coffee.

Brick, I find my "wanter" is still not completely fixed. There are things that don't serve my body well and yet I still crave them. I do well with dark chocolate. Why can't I just leave it at that?
I never knew about my wanter until my overeaters anonymous sponsor introduced me to her 10 years ago. She was in her 80's and a former drug and alcohol counselor. She helped me learn s lot about myself. I stopped going to meetings around that time, but my Sunday Mornings, sitting with her for an hour in her home taught me so much.
Everything is about learning new better habits, reaching for things that help me feel strong and vibrant.
Did I mention I had a terrific first date Friday night?

Last - That's really fantastic news! Very happy for you, the listening part, not how you felt. I'm with you about listening. It's funny how we will still eat things that we know don't agree with us, isn't it? It's definitely a learning process. I always used to say I had a cast iron stomach. Don't feel that way any more. I know what makes me feel good, meat, fish, veg, some berries. Still trying to work out the dairy/cheese/yogurt thing. I've been eating a lot of cheese lately???

    Great about the date!

Hi girls! We're doing better..... and thanks everyone again, for caring so much and checking in for me. Had a great and very busy weekend. Back to working on outside projects. Took old stone walkway up from pool deck and put new one down yesterday. Hot and humid! Still lots to do, but it's getting there and we're very pleased with our progress.

Doing good food wise and able to drop a little, but need to keep going to get back to LDW. Increased all my stats and lost, then decreased yesterday cause we got so busy and I gained +1. LOL Seriously?????? Could be water and slight inflammation. I worked my butt off and am a little sore today and rings were a little tight, so I don't think it's a big deal.

Robin ~ -8?? Wow!! What the heck have you been eating girl????

Last ~ do you have your kitchen now?? Sorry, I browsed through posts, but might have missed that one.

    I don't know what wanter is....craving?
But from what you write finding a better pattern or habit is the approach I have had most of my life when trying to break bad habits. In fact been trying to get hubby to adopt that mind frame for some issues that keep popping up for him.

I personally thinking cravings have a strong link to emotional ties as well which why breaking bad habits without creating a new happier and healthier one is nearly impossible.

I think there are no additives or added sugar or anything. It's coming from a local cow farm. I think i'll call them though and just ask to be sure. I had some this morning (not on HCG yet) and it was beyond divine. So creamy and thick. I had one mixed with blueberries. I don't like store bought yogurt that much.

Brick, yes. Wanted=craver. More mental/emotional than physical. Weighing in at 249 I was definitely out of balance. I can see even now when I go off tilt.
Robin, I would like you to please come feed me your menu. I could live on cheese, ollives, a bit of meat and a few veggies. Oh and throw in that yogurt from the dairy that Bookie is eating.
Thanks about the date Brick. We already have plans for the next two weekends. He's more excited than I am which is nice. I'm his first ever internet date.
JJ, I'm soooooo happy to see you here! Please start posting daily. I miss you when you're gone.
