    just sayin...your doc seems to think it will affect the results. But you're right, given the short time and that it's hhcg, it's probably ok to test.

    I'm going to give this a go. If my results aren't great, or I don't feel well, I'll switch to POP.

    Last two rounds, I couldn't maintain my exercise routine. In fact last round I passed out one night. I'd like to see if this gives me more energy.

    Kats, I'll be using Body Shaper Drops. They are real Rx strength. Last round I used 6 drops 2x a day. Should I be upping that dose?

    I'm going to download the book tonight so that I can read it over the weekend before VLCD1 on Monday.

    This week I ate low carb except for NYE and dropped 5 pounds since Sunday. I went back into ketosis quickly. I'll be curious to see with the addition of Hcg, how it goes.

    Kats, did you use HWC at all? I know you used a bit of cheese on salads.

    That is so AWESOME that you lost that weight just doing low carb, yeah for you!!! I am ROOTING you on big time as I hope to be able to do it again SOON!!!

    Looking forward to what Kats has to say about how many drops you should now be taking…as I believe you're supposed to be getting between 200-300 iu daily.

    Thank you do much Scotland! You are inspiring me to give this a try.

    Yes, I'm outrageously pleased that I took off 5 pounds this week. I think I will miss fruit the most of all so may indulge a bit while loading. I always go for fruit over veggies but it doesn't serve me well so I've gone decades on very little fruit,

    I'm excited to test this! I'll keep you posted.

    Yeah, I'm NOT a fruit person so no biggie for me (hope I can do it again soon)!!! Sorry that you like fruit so much…that's a bummer

    Were you eating breakfast, lunch and dinner to lose those 5 lbs….I'm bound and determined to cut a few things out to do the same.

    No more cheese (don't think it likes me)…NO more alcohol, lily chocolate bars (love those)…hmmmmm, can't think of anything else.

    I ate 3x a day. Paleo chili for breakfast and sometimes lunch too. Cesar salad no croutons several times. Half and half in decaf. Dinner meat and a bit of veggie.

    This is from their website. Last round I took 6 drops 2x a day and wasn't hungry. From reading this, I was on 200 IU per day. Do you think I should up this dose?

    According to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, at the University of New Mexico, a pregnant woman produces a peak hCG level of over 3,000,000 IU during the 10th week of gestation. This is 15,000 times less than the daily dose of 200 IU used in conjunction with weight loss. To put this in perspective: A person taking 12 sublingual drops of hcg per day (200 IU) would have to take 180,000 drops to equal what a pregnant woman produces at her peak production of hCG. This equals nearly 2 1/2 gallons of drops.

    Good Morning!

    This thread, along with my Summer Solstice Thread that I've kept for the last two Rounds is where I'll record my Siesta Experiment. I bought the book and started reading last night.

    My 2015 goal is to meditate more, practice self love, practice self soothing without food.

    I walk to work daily. I go to Pilates Reformer 3-4x a week. Last two rounds I could not keep up the reformer classes because I was weak and dizzy. I want to see if Siesta makes a difference.

    I'm using Body Shaper Drops. Rx strength Hcg. 6 drops 2x a day equals 200 IU's but it's not all absorbed like shots.

    I got into the popcorn and 1 cookie that I bought for loading. Not surprised that the scale went up 1.2. That's how easily I gain.

    LD1 - 146

    I'm going for a long hike in the Redwoods this morning. Haven't done this hike in two years but a girlfriend wants to do it and I'd best do it before the VLCD's. It used to take 2 hours but I'm not in hiking shape so may take longer.

    Loading foods for 2 days. Pint of HWC, a few persimmons, 10 ounces Mac nuts, 16 oz mascarpone, 1 pound bacon, 3 oz steak, 2 chocolate chip cookies, popcorn if I go to the movies today, dinner out after the theatre tomorrow, maybe a Lily's chocolate bar. Anything else that strikes my fancy but I'm not going shopping. I feel sick just reading that list. I'm not committed to eating it all! I'm willing to throw things in the freezer or trash.

    I'll have a loading breakfast before I go, but I'm not hungry at all.

    Coffee w/HWC at 7. 1st drops will be at 7:45.

    howdy! The main reason the book author experimented with the technique was to keep his energy up so he could continue to do distance running. I found my energy was higher while doing his protocol too. I didn't increase my dose though...I used the same dose I'd used while POP. He recommends starting at 200 iu, then after 2 weeks, upping the dose to 300 iu. His hypothesis is that you start to build immunity after 14 days.

    Last, im not a HWC user typically. I drink my coffee black, and iced with some stevia drops in it. I've just never been a hot drink person, even though I live in the artic tundra mid west, lol! I did put a few cheese gratings on my lunch salad every day though. And I ate cheese sticks for snacks. My hubby loves to snack on really good aged Parmesan cheese, and I ate some of that with him occasionally. So dairy in general was definately part of the plan for me. The author ate quite a bit of cheese too. He liked to do meat and cheese roll ups for lunch. I would do them for dinner sometimes, but I always ate a salad for lunch.

    Last, I'd start out with the number of drops you are used to taking. You won't experience the dosage/hunger issues with Siesta like you see on Dr S's protocol.

    The fruit thing is a biggie on this plan though. It will stall you for sure because of the high sugar content. I've done a lot of thinking about this issue, and back in the olden days, fruit was only a rare treat, eaten for a brief time while in season. I've decided I need to adapt my mindset in that direction. One could say the same for veggies, but canning and storage of veggies has occurred for ages, as has eating root veggies. Our bodies are more suited to daily veggies than to daily fruit intake, in my opinion of course. :-).

    Thanks for sharing your experience Kats. I grew up in Cleveland on the lake, so I get the Arctic Tundra comment! Love me some California weather. I don't think I could ever go back.

    Ok, I'm off and running on my experiment. I finished P3 yesterday so here I am starting right when my drops say it's acceptable to start a new Round.
