    Hi Woke up to a 1 lb loss that makes me happy!! Steak day was good!
    I know what you mean leeann That .2 and .3 days were depressing me lol
    Im eating on protocol today and thing i will do another steak Monday and Tues morning will be LDW and P3 here i come

    This is an interesting thread. I have experimented with egg days, high protein days and fat fast days in P2 and have done great with them. May have to try a steak day

    For the first question ,you can eat any one vegetable or chard or even fruit.and about the calories it is better if you stick with the 500 calories restriction.

    I may need to try a mini steak day soon, my average is like .3 as soon TOM is gone if things dont get better I would be doing a mini steak day

    I know we're not supposed to do steak days on P2 but after reading through this post .... And cheating with a DQ ice cream cone that caused a .5 gain...I did one and lost 2 lbs. feeling pretty good now

    If you're already averaging 0.3 losses, I wouldn't say you need a steak day. Also, if TOM is around it's expected that you may stall or gain some. I would say wait it out before doing something off-protocol.

    Alexa, June 24 I drank water (2 and a half liters), and 2 cups of tea all day. For dinner I BBQ'd a steak that weighed almost 1 kg (2.2lbs) and ate about 2 thirds of it. I used a Jamie Oliver spice that I picked up at Target and didn't use any marinade or sauce of any kind. I was hungry in the evening so I had an apple. On June 25 I was down exactly 2 lbs.
    Yesterday I cheated again just to see what would happen. Drank 1 cup of tea and 3 liters of water. For lunch I had 4 cups of a salad mix that was all romaine and red cabbage, added 2 eggs, 2 thin slices of honey ham and a piece of cheddar cheese about the size of my thumb. I used Paul Newmans oil and vinegar dressing (about 3tbsp). I skipped dinner because I wasn't hungry. This morning I'm down 1.4. (and all this happened during TOM) I'm happy with the losses but wondering how it will affect stabilizing later. I started P2 on May 13, took a 9 day interruption and after restarting P2, I'm on VLCD 9. Since May 13, I'm down almost 25lbs and hoping for 15 more before going to P3.... Although protocol says not to lose more than 34lbs in one round

    So glad that Beth started this thread out by saying ..."after 15 days of losing and gaining and losing the same 2 to 3 lbs, I did what I called a mini-steak day". I always lose sloooowly and actually gained the past two days....Why??? Why me???
    I had to do a lot of running around today and only drank coffee and my usual quarts of water. At 4 pm I realized I hadnt eaten and wasnt hungry at all, my stomach actually kind of hurt. I stopped and got a pkg of 2 3-oz steaks and cooked one at 6 pm-cut off all the fat. Am feeling stuffed now at almost 9 pm. I'll check in tomorrow to update the results. I dont think I ate enough - 3 ozs all day is not a good amt.

    Next day update: Woke up, 1 lb loss. At least going in the right direction! BTW I am on week 5 of round 4, SubQ inj. down 16 so far.
    R1 213.8, LIW 191.0, end 189.0, -23 lb TOTAL -25//R2 194; 3 weeks only, end LIW 184.
    R3 198. 3 weeks only, LIW 188//R4 208, Wk 1 -8lbs, Wk2 0lbs, Wk3 -5lbs, Wk4 -3lbs, Wk5 -0.5lbs, Wk6 - 0, LIW 190, -18 lbs
    R5 192 after 2 lb gain loading, Wk 1 -8 lbs, Wk 2 0, Wk 30 -8LBS to 184
    R6 186 after 2 lb gain loading, Wk 1 -4 to 182, 100 lbs lost total as of 2Nov14, 7 years in the making!

    Wanted to bump this thread, as well as update! I had been on a bit of a stall and then I cheated horribly. The day after my cheat I decided to do a mini steak day. I fasted all day until about 4:30 pm (I couldn't wait any longer!) and then baked a 9 oz steak with fat for flavour (but I cut the visible fat off when eating it.) and later that evening had an apple before bed. I woke up to a 2.2 lbs loss which is higher than any loss I've had on this protocol so far! Because steak was 2 for 1 at the market, I am doing another mini steak day today. Excited to see losses again tomorrow! I'll keep you in the loop.

    I'll be doing a steak day tonight and Sunday. We are going out with my husbands boss tonight for a meeting then Super Bowl on Sunday. I figured the safest thing to eat was steak so why not turn it into a steak day??? Sounds good to me P2 Mini Steak and high protein days?. I'll post results
