    Some people use an apple instead of a tomato...

    Mini steak days in P2 have worked for me as well. I ended up having to do one today w/ a grilled tomato 14days in...
    It was yummy, I don't have hunger this round! These drops are awesome! I just need to get this craving thing under control.

    Yes they worked well for me too...

    Also in p2 a couple of times when out at a resto, (I had had enough of chicken, fish and shrimp) I ordered a big steak...The one time I kept half for the next day, the 2nd time I ate the whole thing and still it boosted my losses...

    They weren't steak days per se since I had had lunch...that was a bit rogue since beef is not protocol but once in the while if you can tolerate it, it boosts the protein.

    2lbs down today! I had a 34oz filet magnon w/ a medium grilled tomato last night! It was yummy!

    Hmmm. I had a P2 steak day yesterday simply because I wanted a big chunk-o-steak. I wan't stalled or anything. I ate an 8.5 oz ribeye and a small tomato for dinner, that was all for the day, calories came to about 475. I was up .8 this morning.

    I am so happy I have found this thread I have been stalling & my weight loss has been going slow. Still losing inches so I am excited- I wanted to use a steak day as a stall breaker. My question is- has anybody used this more than once.. And if you have did you regain the weight?

    R1VLCD25 Down 19 16days left- doing a 41 day round.(Shooting for 10 more pounds)

    The first time I did a high protein day, I lost...the 2nd time I gained a bit but it came off a couple of days later... IMHO. I'm not so sure that it would work if you did it too often.

    I never did a p2 steak day, but I had steak 2 or 3 times and lost.


    Sooooooooo, no it didn't come back...many ppl say it does but it didn't for me...I'm not so sure the apple days do much more than get rid of bloat though.

    I cheated today and had beef. Do you think an egg or mini steak day would be best for tomorrow since I had beef today?

    Why do you think that having beef is cheating? And do you see the irony in "having beef = cheating" and "having steak = fixing the cheat"?

    I ate beef throughout my P2 (steak and ground beef).

    After a steady loss all week, I gained 1.4lb overnight. I'm on day 24 of a 28 day round, and about 4 lb shy of my goal weight (before the gain, that is)... Anyway, I decided to try a steak day today, even though I know it's not part of P2 protocol. There are several other diets I've been reading about lately, trying to understand the science and logic behind the steak day, or high protein day, or pure protein day - as many diets have a variation on this high protein quick fix. The Dukan diet seems to incorporate a protein day into the lifelong maintenance...
    So, I had about a pot of black coffee from about 7am, when I woke up until 11 am, and then drank about 1.5 liters of water. By 3 pm I was starving, but determined to see this experiment through. I had a T-bone steak (in liquid smoke, salt and pepper) BBQ and eaten fat and all. The rest of the day, I plan on just water, coffee/tea.
    Will report back tomorrow after I weigh in. For those of you interested in blood type, I'm O+, which is supposedly the blood type that tolerates meat really well. we'll see.. Fingers crossed!
