I made some diet changes before starting the round, having cut out sugar (all kinds), grains mostly (except going out to Indian food and Chipotle's rice), and copious amounts of low carb veggies. I started the big sludgie for breakfast before starting hcg, trying to get raw lemon, celery, cilantro/parsley/turmeric/ginger in every day. I feel like I have a handle on it this time around, not eating breadsticks (plus cheat breadsticks), looking for ways to cheat the system etc. I'm pretty happy with this round thus far and hope I can continue this way for 30 days.
    14lbs. off Congrats!
It looks like you got this Lynne
35lbs. in 40 days! !!! I want that too, lol

Pool I went ahead and did P2 today, Dd didn't want to do anything special as far as eating goes so figure I'd stick to P2 eating. Cramps are horrid and super low, feel like I'm in labor LOL I'll take some motrin later if they get worse but for now I'll try to just ignore them. DH just called and told me he has to take in crockpot of chili to work on Monday. Really? so no I have to cook up chili tomorrow and I do it by taste not sure how that is going to work out. I guess if I do small tastes and avoid the beans it's nothing really off plan. Lean meats and tomato plus seasonings. Life has to go on so oh well.

I was afraid I'd be really hungry today as bad as I've been eating lately but so far I've had 1/2 of an orange and not hungry at 11:30. Going to go in and wash and cut up lettuce for the week and cook up my meat. Not sure what 4oz of the raw hamburger would be once it was cooked so going to cook up one measured out portion of 4oz and weigh it cooked then cook up the rest in one big batch and portion it out in whatever serving size the 4oz cooked up to. Think that would be the fastest way to portion it out.

Looks like you are having some nice losses Pool, I don't think it's water weight. Your body seems to have found it's happy spot for losing, enjoy

PB Yay on getting away with it this time. Hopefully you can follow it up with a good drop and get below that set point.

Oh I'm not going to change to my ticker, even though it's almost 10lbs off. Hopefully I'll be back there by the end of my 2 week cycle.

Paging Poobears Do you read Richard over at Free The Animal? He's revived the potato hack with some amazing results. Any thoughts on doing potato hack in P3? Talk about rogue.... Couldn't get worse than taters

I think I've read some of his stuff, I've researched the potato hack a bit and seen posts for and against it. Some have great results and some get pretty darn sick from it. It's definitely interesting, I do love a good tater but not sure how I'd feel about eating nothing but potatoes for days on end. I might make it a couple days though. I know some do egg hacks with good results and those would be p3 friendly.

AFM I have been totally on protocol, shocking huh? Of course it's only 4:30 on day one but hey that's a record for me lately LOL I might add some cheese to my dinner though so may not make it all day being on protocol, haven't decided yet. I did get 20 servings of lean ground hamburger cooked up. Nice to have it cooked and portioned out. May get some chicken tenders or something to precook so I don't burn out on hamburger.

I've read hundreds of posts on the PH; many over at MDA and Tatertot and there is definitely something to it that seems to reset set point. It's been likened to hcg in some ways. I won't risk p3 but I will in P4 even if I JUDDD with taters, 500 cals of plain boiled would be extremely satiating.

Lynn congrats on the great losses!

Chili cook off was a bit of a bust. My stomach just can't handle it like it used to. Barely got started tasting chili and I was full. Took a break and had a little more but we ended up leaving after hour and half with a belly ache. Good thing is that was about all I ate today so calories shouldn't be horribly high. Mostly I was trying one bite and then throwing the rest away unless it was good.

I don't do P3 so I would do it in my P3 time or P4 time either one if I was going to do it. But if you do P3 then yeah it would work for P4 and the egg or another protein based one would work for P3. I know several people on the JUDDD board do it on their down days for a while so that's definitely an option. I think I would like it for down days, you wouldn't get burned out on it as fast that way, I don't know how many potatoes you could have for 500 cal but they'd be yummy.

Well I made it through day 1 totally on protocol look at me being a big girl. Although I do have some dark chocolate in the freezer I'm thinking of going in and getting a piece of. I usually keep a couple pieces in every round and do fine but on the other hand maybe I should get through at least one day without being bad LOL I'll see which side wins out, probably the chocolate side since I still have cramps

Just wanted to say a quick hi to everyone. I haven't been able to keep up this week because work has been super busy so I'm just resting when I get home. Working on getting some baby items this weekend. Babiesrus has a trade in event that gives you 30% off a new item or if you sign up for their card it gets you 45% that day. Going to trade in a few and get the crib, stroller, and car seat. I'm really anxious to get the room totally cleared and painted/cleaned. I know we have time but I don't procrastinate well lol. Anyway I hope you are all doing well hope to catch up soon!!

I wouldn't want to wait either Julz I always wound up on bedrest so I had to make sure I had everything ready early. Even so I would have gone nuts waiting until the last minute, no way I could do that, it's just not me LOL Have fun shopping for the baby, hopefully work settles down soon so you can relax more.

PB sorry your chilifest wasn't as much fun as you thought it would be, probably a good thing diet wise though. Hopefully you won't see a big gain from it. Although you never know how much salt people pour into their chili. Might see a sodium bump up.

Well I decided to be totally good and stick to protocol today so passed on the chocolate, I'll take my gold star now, please and thank you. Day one is done, 13 to go (if I do a 2 week cycle)

Some I could even taste the salt in! And we finished the night with an ice cream treat after sons basketball. But I was at my usual 183 this morning and tomorrow is a DD so I'm not worried. It's a new week and I started off ok this morning so I'll get it back off.

Good job on staying on protocol Poobear. One day at a time. Now go to bed before you change your mind!lol
