I think most of us here have experienced supreme frustration regarding weight gain and loss. I'd bet we can all relate to your feelings. All we can do is keep trying and keep trying and try to keep a positive attitude. I feel terrible often, and I fell like I fail in my plans and goals regularly, but I refuse to give up. Stick with it.

Hey all! I was up a pound today but no worries, I had a beer last night so that's probably why. I had a very successful day out of town at a baseball game today. Thankfully it was a very low hunger day so I got away with a southwest salad at a ballpark restaurant. I love the Cardinals stadium because you an bring your own snacks and drinks in so I just needed my pistachios even though I brought more snacks. We were planning on eating before the drive home but none of us were hungry so I lasted until home for a healthy burger. We were gone 10 hours today so eating was a huge success!

Pb sounds like you did great for being out of town. Glad you enjoyed the game, we are going to the Yankees/Royals game in KC in a couple weekends. Now hoping I can't drink any beer then, when before I was a little bummed that I wouldn't be able to. My how things change quickly! We've never been to Busch stadium which is crazy because it's so close! That's cool about being able to bring things in!

AFM nothing much going on here. My nephews party was fun, he's so stinking cute! Going grocery shopping today and clean up a little around the house, but nothing too exciting. Will have to try to keep super busy in the next week and a half. We have a wedding to go to this weekend and I am dreading it, I don't know whether to pretend to drink or what. Since we are in limbo now I don't want to tell anyone and they'll just suspect so it's going to be a pain for sure!

Great job PB, DD is going to a Cardinals game with the school this week. Usually they go to the Naturals stadium so it will be a fun change heading to the Cardinals stadium this time.

I agree everyone has had frustrations with gains, stalls etc. I do think a strict plan sets you up for binge eating if you have that tendency. Nothing triggers binge feelings quicker than depravation. That's why so many do fantastic on strict plans as long as they adhere 100% but the second real life sets in and they get thrown off plan they can't recover. I've seen people go years on super strict plans, cutting out everything but sooner or later they almost all have something that makes food out of their control for a bit and that's the start of fast downward slope. Loosing isn't the hardest part, most plans work if you stick to them long enough, maintaining is where people need to put their focus. Doesn't do any good to lose 20, 50, 100lbs etc if you can't keep it off.

AFM I'm still bouncing between 170-173, which is up around 10lbs from my low on my ticker. Considering I haven't taken any of my diuretic meds in weeks and just finished my high steroid round, I'm super happy with that. This is my first ever steroid round that didn't result in a big gain, good thing to because I think I might need another for this new break out if it gets worse.

I really should hit a couple weeks of super low carb to get the 10lbs back off but ugh I'm so sick of dieting, may just maintain here a little longer.

Morning all! Up only .6 today so that's good. It's correction day Sunday so I'm sure I'll lose some tomorrow. Overall for the week I am actualy down .4. First week in a month I haven't been up 1-3lbs. Maybe I'm getting somewhere? Starting the week at 176 so maybe I could even work it below 175 this week...in my dreams!

Poobears you're doing good for being on steroids. That stinks that you may need more. I hear you on the dieting thing. That's kind of where I was and why I started working out so much. I wanted to be able to be social and not so restricted without derailing myself. I say maintain away!!

Pb hope you see a big loss tomorrow. Glad things are going well for the past week!

Can't sleep so I thought I'd post. Just worrying of course and thinking about how long it's going to be before my appt. At least we have a few things going on this week that will keep me busy. Anyway gonna try to sleep!

Morning all! Down .6 today to 176.2. Not a wonderful loss for a low calorie correction day, but good enough.
Today I have fitness evaluation at my gym that I am joining. I think that will be interesting
It is also Teacher Appreciation week. you know what that means....week filled with free food Snacks galore I'm sure will be in the lounge all week. Makes for a toughtweek to be good. Although I am also ending this week with a trip out of town with hubby to see Garth so I know I will be bad eating for that, so maybe that will convince me to stay strong this week. I can usually resist for a day or so but a whole week.....Usually impossible.
Also grumpy today, not sure why, definitely doesn't help with avoiding food.

Hope you got some rest last night Julz. I know what the waiting and worrying is like. How are you feeling overall?

PB sounds like maybe your body is falling into line finally. Hope you see a drop today after your correction day yesterday.

AFM nothing to report, didn't weigh today. So far the poison ivy is still in rash form and no blisters so I think I'll be able to skip the steroids this time. There may be enough in my system still to keep it from flaring too bad. It's itchy but not oozy so I can live with that LOL

PB looks like we were posting at the same time. Glad you saw a drop. It's a step in the right direction.

    Good Morning!

PB-rough week with teacher appreciation! Just allow a few treats and don't overly deny yourself or you might binge. We've all been there.

Poo-glad you are finally on the mend. Keep the oozies away! lol

Julz-we are all on pins and needles for you. Did you get the bloodwork back?

I am doing a steak day today!!!! I've creeped up to 145 this AM, so it's go-time. lol I have never exercised on a steak day, but I am trying really hard to create better habits, and the allergies are finally dying down. I'm thinking a bike ride. It's not too hard, it gets me out of the house, and raises serotonin levels. I hope everyone has a great day!

Pb sorry about the difficult week with food. Sounds like a fun trip with the hubby! Good luck on the fitness evaluation.

Poobears glad the poison ivy is doing better, crossing my fingers it stays that way!

Book good luck with the steak day today! Hope the exercise goes well with the steak day. I've never done that either. I did get my bloodwork back and my levels are high which concerned the dr as she thought there'd be more development. Not sure what to think about it because the levels overlap so much, the nurse said it dates me at anywhere from 6-8 weeks.

AFM I'm going crazy at work today! The days are just going to be like that I guess. I actually felt really nauseous this morning and thought you're really cruel God if this doesn't stick! Worrying like crazy but I just have to wait it out. Tomorrow is my bday so a friend and I are doing pedicures after work and then we have dinner with my family. At least tomorrow will go fast!

[QUOTE=Julz5582;982849]Spense sorry you're struggling so much. You don't do a 500 calorie diet when off hcg do you? If so that could do a number on your metabolism.

Julz, I am on hcg now, but I think long term use wrecks metabolism. I don't do 500 calories without hcg.

Huh. Back when there was a question about my pregnancies, they did the blood work one day, then did it again 2 days later. If the numbers don't double (or whatever they are supposed to do, maybe quadruple, my kids are teenagers now so I don't remember it exactly) then a m/c is imminent. That happened to me, number didn't go up and I did m/c. Rough times.
