Wow, you lost it pretty fast. Congrats! I started on Jan 9 and plan to stop on Mar 31. I'm doing the drops, like you. I hope I lose that much by then. If you have any sugesstions, let me know.

The first month is an awesome loss but don't expect those results every month. Months 2 and 3 I only lost an average of 12 lbs per month. This past week, due to my experimenting, I only lost 1 lb. Still, I have always had at least some weekly loss with the low this week at 1.0 lb and the high at 5.0 a couple weeks ago. This doesn't count the first 3 weeks when everything falls off so fast.

Still, everyone is different and you may do better. Just keep your cool and do your best. I see that you're in Onederland. That's a great milestone.

'Onederland' haha! Yes, I'm really happy about getting out of 200-land. Even if it is .4 lbs away from it, still it's inspiring. Ok, I guess I'm going to have to just chill and let it happen the way it's going to happen. I'd like to see a 5 lb/week loss but that may be overly ambitious. Keep us posted with your experiment.

Update from the experiment of doing a interim-load day.

    Friday 2/3 - 181.5
Saturday 2/4 - Off Day (no Scale available)
    Monday 2/7 - 184.0 (2.5 pound gain)
    Tuesday 2/8 - 183.0
    Wednesday 2/9 - 182.0
    Thursday 2/10 - 182.0

So, I'm still not back to where I was last Friday so it's not going as well as it did from my Girls Weekend last month. At that time, I lost the 3 pounds I gained within two days and kept going. Very interesting stuff and definately worth knowing. I'll continue to keep you posted on what happens in the next week or so.

I am on round one in phase two day 16...but love how supportive this rogue thread seems to be! It is great that there is an are people can go where they can do their own thing and still find support. There is no one fix for all..this is great! I am somewhat ashamed at how much I have cheated so far in this diet but I am still sitting at an 8lb loss which before would have taken me MONTHs to do. Happy V-Day everyone!

Littlefirefly, don't be ashamed. Sometimes everyone cheats. I just finished R2/P2 and I was a cheatin' fool. Sadly, I only lost 17lbs on my 40 day round because of it. But, like you say, the upside is that it would have taken me longer to lose it any other way, so I'm allright. You will be too.
    :-D

    Happy Valentines to everyone!!!

I hope I'm posting this in the right place...

How rogue do you think using Shake N Bake on chicken is? I want to lose 10 lbs more before I transition into P3 (I've lost 20 lbs so far afte - this is the end of VLCD 45), but I've gagged on my chicken to the point of throwing up or nearly throwing up. I'm so sick of it. It is a quite a bit more tolerable than just plain chicken. I don't think I could continue anymore with dry chicken.

I lost 1 lb yesterday (not a typical loss - it averages .5 a day for me) and I'll have to see tomorrow what the scale says. Does anyone on this thread use Shake N Bake?

    First Goal: 140 lbs (145.6 LPW - VLCD 58 - R1 - Loss: 25.4 lbs.)
    Second Goal: 120 lbs

Hi Antha, for me personally - I'd not do a mix like that just because there's so much hidden MSG in that it might make you have some gains. If you want to go rogue but not crazy, you can coat your chicken in buttermilk then dip in almond meal that's been seasoned with sea salt, paprika, pepper, onion, garlic and a little parsley. Bake in the oven til done. I'm thinking 375 for 30 min? Maybe?

That way, you're still at least in p3 protocol compliance, you're not adding starch or sugar like s&b mix and no chemicals. Tastes pretty damn good too. LOL!!!

That's just my 2 cents. Hope you like it!

Update on experiment: I'd say my experiment of having an "off day" shows clearly that it DOES NOT promote loss. I haven't lost anything in the last two weeks. I have to admit that I haven't been completely true to the program, even for me during the last week or so. I had to travel for business and sit in meetings all day and I think that my HCG drops didn't stay adequately refrigerated. Honestly I'm happy I didn't gain anything.

Last night for dinner I had a simple turkey/cucumber sandwich at the airport because there was simply no alternative. After being on the project site all-day and with a headache, I just couldn't bring myself to pull out the turkey and cucumber and leave the bread. I tell ya, it was the best sandwich ever and I thought to myself that it's a sad day when I feel guilty over eating a sandwich. Today I feel awesome and very clear headed and focused. I think the extra carbs of the bread are feeding my brain.

Having said all that, I'm still planning on P2 until about mid-April and I'd really like to lose another 25 lbs before then so it's back on the saddle I go. It's so much easier when you're home and prepare your own food!
