    Yes, i agree, I'm mostly talking about changing things up in P2, really just to survive the phase. I'm assuming P3 isn't as challenging variety-wise, since you can add fats, some fruit, then later some starches. I hear it's not quite as easy since you're not relying on the HCG to keep your hunger/cravings away, though. P3 is much the way I would like to eat long term anyway, as grains and sugars upset my tummy...

    LOVE the name of this thread.... here are a few rogue statements from dr. s:

    In dealing with obese patients it became a habit to register and order every clinical experience as if it were an odd looking piece of a jig-saw puzzle. And then, as in a jig saw puzzle, little clusters of fragments began to form, though they seemed to fit in nowhere. As the years passed these clusters grew bigger and started to amalgamate until, about sixteen years ago, a complete picture became dimly discernible. This picture was, and still is, dotted with gaps for which I cannot find the pieces, but I do now feel that a theoretical structure is visible as a whole. With mounting experience, more and more facts seemed to fit snugly into the new framework, and then, when a treatment based on such speculations showed consistently satisfactory results, I was sure that some practical advance had been made, regardless of whether the theoretical interpretation of these results is correct or not.

    and this: To make the text more readable I shall be unashamedly authoritative and avoid all the hedging and tentativeness with which it is customarily to express new scientific concepts grown out of clinical experience and not as yet confirmed by clear-cut laboratory experiments. Thus, when I make what reads like a factual statement, the professional reader may have to translate into: clinical experience seems to suggest that such and such an observation might be tentatively explained by such and such a working hypothesis, requiring a vast amount of further research before the hypothesis can be considered a valid theory. If we can from the outset establish this as a mutually accepted convention, I hope to avoid being accused of speculative exuberance.

    and i stand corrected- dr. s. apparently did publish some scientific papers, although it doesn't appear that anyone can find those. do we have a librarian in the group? they are too old to find online.

    Nutshelll, I mix 10 parts Bact water with 1 part hcg and I take 1 cc each injection. Most people use 1/2 as much Bact water and so their injections are only .5. So basically I am deluting the hcg more for better absorbtion.

    Beesley - I inject on the outer top 1/3 of my thigh. I don't carry a lot of fat on my thighs, mostly my core section! I still have about 50 lbs to lose.

    I feel so blessed because this protocal has been sooooo easy for me and everything seems to work right without any problems. Nothing has every worked right for me! The only problems I have experienced is irregular heartbeat and it wasn't due to the HCG, just dehydration and pot/mag out of balance.

    I like being a rebel...but sort of in the other direction. I want to know how little I can consume to make my losses better with out ending up fainting the floor or eating my children. I would very much like this to be my last round for a very long time with the desired results.

    I did just try a 3 day experiment. It was based upon Dr. S's statement that is roughly paraphrased...at the minimum you need 200 g protein and a little bit of starch to do the diet.

    So....here's what I did...the reason I did it was to recover from 2 cooking boo boo s that put me behind. For lunch I only ate the protein. For dinner I ate regular protocol except the bread. I've had higher losses at this time in the round as a result. BUT....you can NOT work out at all on that day. I discovered I was more tired than usual, loopy, and my balance was off. I did feel week from around 5 ish until I had dinner. Drinking as much liquid as you can is very important.

    I'm hoping to use this plan again later in the round when I do the yoyo scale dance for two weeks. So there you have it. My roguish experiment.

    wow I love this I am one who has stepped out of the box and off protocol many times to be honest I will have to think about how much I would like to admit...first I'm on p2 day90 down 43lbs with no immunity.... talk about being a Rebel and that's just the beginning LOL I've done egg white shakes, drank wine, chewed gum, forgot my drops, combined vegey's and ate sugar free chocolate cake at New Years that was heaven even had a few crackers and cheese OMG I have also had a small piece of high quality nutrition based chocolate more than a few times......

    I've had a few stalls but nothing that caused me to do an apple day... right now I'm on antibiotics 10 day round so not sure what that will do but I look at the big picture and stay positive I've gone from a tight 14/16 to a 8/10 happy is a mild way to explain how I feel can wait to releasing the last 20lbs and for summer to come.....beach time ....

    Well, I am gonna bring my lemonade in here and belly up to the bar for a spell. (Typed with a Texas acccent)

    I don't know if I will be brave enough to do anything really rouge but I am buying some broccoli tomorrow!! I followed protocol to a T on round 1 and I am already having a hard time getting the food down out of boredom.

    PS~ I am going to ask a question and I'm being serious and not funny. OK, are you ready? How does diluting the shot to make it 1cc help with absorption? I know there is a guy on youtube that took a 1cc IM shot but I didn't know if there was a particular reason.

    Well...I think this is a great thread! Ok so here's my story...I did a 40 day last December and January and it was seriously the hardest thing I've ever done. I was always hungry and in the middle I started feeling hypoglycemic but was to afraid of adding anything else...the last two days of R1P2 I basically stayed in bed and started researching hypoglycemia and it said some scary things so I started freaking out and my heartrate never returned to normal after that (im sure my electrolytes were beyond depleted!!) I went to the doctor he said I was fine and that I was depressed... Anyway I never stabilized in P3 and gained back the 18 lbs. (basically goal weight for me) within 2 months (that's what made me depressed ...i stabilized at the exact same place I started so at least I didn't gain more .
    So this time around (after having done way more research and trying to lose weight on my own; like i've done for years..I feel prepared to handle whatever comes up on this next round) I'm doing the 23 day, and I'm also eating 100 to 200 more grams of protein and an extra fruit, and taking Lifecaps and ionic fizz and L-glutamine. My losses are great and I feel great this time around (no heart stuff or hypoglycemia...I'm like...this is what other people are talking about when they say this is soo easy
    I feel the same way...I want to finish this round and not feel like I jut got hit by a truck so whatever I have to do...I had a friend who did the hcg and atkins at the same time and lost a lb per day...

    lis, to be a true rebel, try eating your children. Ok just joking, my kids are driving me crazy right now. Told them they had to clean up after dinner and do the dishes because my hands are so cracked and bleeding and I left them to it and came to the computer. I can hear them arguing right now. Oh well, I'm not coming out.

    Well ok I confess!! I've just started drinking
    Coke Zero with vanilla stevia mmmmm. It
    has helped with my sugar cravings and I have
    not gained I'm on R1 D14 vlcd.

    I think Releasing is doing Releana. Releasing?

    On Releana we don't have to take a break, supposed to be able to go until we reach our goal, or want to be done.
