Lame, but I'm trying to focus on today and where I am, rather than last week or where I COULD be. I definitely find P2 can mess with my head and always make me want more more more. More food, and more losses!

Just about one more week to go. This is my first day since basically round 1 where I really was not hungry at all. Weird. My dose has been good and the hunger is usually mental rather than physical. In any case, I loved not finishing my dinner tonight!!!

I just wanted to mention, for those who feel frustrated that we gain when we try to eat things that other folks on here lose with, all bodies are not created equal. Someone made a comment about broccoli being a healthy tweak...but for me, broccoli makes me gain like nobodies business. Should it be a healthy diet choice, sure. Does it work for me, not at all! Just know your own self. Let that be your barometer. Some people really do stall and gain when they use certain creams, etc. It's not bs, its just not true for everyone. I don't want this to read as if i'm advocating for strict protocol...that's not at all what I mean, nor is it how I go through P2. What I do want to say is that each of us has our own areas that work best, and I don't want anyone to feel like they are wrong for anything they do that works for them.

    Thanks for letting me share
I agree what works for one person doesn't work for another for sure. For example on P3 I cannot eat almonds or bacon they make me gain like no one's business! I just do think it is important to at least try strict protocol foods,so you can see the big losses. Then you can start tweaking and you know if cheese or steak or whatever makes you gain. In my personal opinion if you start right out eating lots of things that are not on protocol how will you know if that is holding you back from loosing a lot? Just my 2 cents.
Going to make some homemade turkey sausage since I know it won't make me gain

I LOVE cheese, I mean if I were on a desert Island I would ask for big blocks of cheese LOL. I don't gain with it in p3 though which is good but I also have no self control over cheese, so for me personally I could not eat it in p2 because even if it didn't make me gain I would eat so much that it would LOL.

How did you make your tacos? I ususally do extra lean ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder and a bit of sea salt. Then put them in lettuce cups with a tomatoe.

We just used the taco bell brand seasoning packets. I did see dextrose in the list of ingriedients, but it was way down.

Dh commented again tonight about how much weight I lost in my legs and that they have muscles now. To this point he hasn't commented on any losses. He knows I don't like fluff compliments like if I ask does this make my butt look big, I want a yes if it does LOL So now that he's mentioning it, he must be seeing a big difference. I seem to be fitting into at least one thing that was too small each week so I'm steadily losing inches even if my weight isn't dropping. I can live with that.

I know on Atkins I learned if I ate very much cheese I would stall. Couldn't go over an ounce or two a day. I've used the packaged taco seasonings in the past with no problems but I use one package to 2lbs of hamburger when I use them. Then you are getting just enough to add flavor but not enough to give you much sugar or salt. Sometimes I season it myself, I don't use any salt or sugar when I do it, I just toss a bunch of seasonings in, depends on the mood I'm in.

I wasn't hungry today because I was busy so I just had my 2 fruits and a protein. No breads or eggs today, didn't even eat my dinner tonight.

Up again- 1.8lbs...ugh. Never again will I cheat on chinese. I think multiple things are contributing. It's a delayed gain from the chinese two nights ago, I need to back off on the cheese rogueness, aaaand I haven't "gone" in five days. Probably tmi. I know it's not water, I'm getting at least 150oz daily. Ahhh well. I can only hope for better today. But today will be tough, since I'm going out to eat for one meal at an unknown restaurant.

I went back to no weighing until the weekend, which is a good thing. Today my clothes look like they are falling off, and if the scale said otherwise I would have been peeved! To any of you who are doing what works for you, and not losing or having small gains, just be patient. Two days ago I was up, today my pants are falling off!!!! Sometimes the weight just jumps ship overnight!
Falling off clothes are a great thing!!! My pants are falling off too lol had a friend who has not seen me in a month tell me BOY you ARE LOOKING SKINNY!
lOST ANOTHER 1.1 only 19.4 more pounds to Onderland!!!
Ate strict protocol, only one fruit ( apple) but a bit more protein at one of the meals which seems to be working.

You know what I don't think I'm going to weigh for a few days either. Checking everyday isn't making it go down any faster. I can eat on protocol and stall or barely lose and I can eat rogue and stall or barely lose, what I eat doesn't really seem to have much effect at all as long as I keep my portions in check so to hell with the scale LOL

Hey girl, If your worried about the restaurant get online and check out some menus and pick one yourself. A steak joint would be great, side of vegs and a side salad and youd be good to go. How long have you been on vlcd and how has the hunger been??? I know Im not very hungry so even tho Im rougue and doing an atkins style with this, I am still not having breakfast and dont eat very much at lunch........im just not hungry. I can tell you that is prob why I have not stalled or gained doing vlcd this way, because im not having more than 700 calories a day.......and at my weight, thats what works. If your not hungry, then you need to work on the mental aspect of this. If I can do this, so can you. Im almost 40 years old and I can tell you that I have struggles with weight alllllllll my life. My body is literally vibrating with excitment over these losses. Ive wasted so much of my life hiding from cameras and pulling at my clothes and dreading summer........and now I can see the light at the end, and I will succeed!!!!!! I know you can too!!!!!

Over 20lbs in like 30 days is well abocve average! Congrats!
Yeah I'm not going to change my eating much so I might as well not worry about the scale. I'd rather lose slower and be happy all the way there, then lose fast and be miserable gagging on my food. Also I'm really happy in the 140's (though I really need to at least get back around 143-145) that puts me back into most of size 6 capris and shorts and Medium in tops. Still obese by the medical charts at my weight now but it's better then 240's LOL

Oh and I've only lost 11lbs, the 28 is what I have left to goal, although I'm not sure I want to go that low or not.

Question for all........has anyone watched the youtube video "sugar, the bitter truth". Thoughts??? It kind of makes me believe that the complete absense of sugar on this diet is one of the biggest contributors to our weight loss. If you havnt watched it, I highly recommed putting the time aside and doing so. What an eye opener, goin to sit down my teenagers soon to watch parts of it(some is a little to scientific and will prob go over there heads)

He brought home chinese last night from our favorite place, and a bite of sesame chicken turned into a few bites, and a bit of lomein, and a "ahhhh what the hell" cheese wonton. I DREADED my weigh in... up 2.4lbs. I did so good eating on plan yesterday too. And now I'm set back for days. *banging my head on the wall*

    Back to square one.
Rebecca, I know you're frustarated with yourself, but do the 5 Sec Rule (feel bad about it 5 seconds, then get back on track). Yes, it's a "set back" but not a sentence. There's nothing final to 2.4 lbs and you know this diet can take that back off in a few days. Everyone feels bad about a cheat, but what we do with those emotions are what makes a difference: a. Use it as an excuse to fall all the way off the wagon. b. Admit you had a temporary set back and get a new resolve to go forward. c. Accept it, know that you enjoyed it, but now you [B]want[B] to get back onboard and continue onward. Everyone has a slip up now and then. I've had several. But, I'm down 11 lbs. so far and that outweighs any cheat. (pardon the pun)

Thanks for your info. I have upped my protein. Went to the grocery, yesterday and realized...hey, I can buy this (cream cheese) and this (mozarella cheese) and this (Greek all-natural, plain yogurt), etc. It's like...I'm realizing I'm on P3 now...and I get all of these bonus foods! Even bought bacon and pork chops and a ham for Easter.
