    Hi,
Im on p2 , doing a rouge version..looking for anyone who can give me new ideas and suggestions..I mostly stick to simeons but I do mix veggies, have a variety of them, I use waldenfarms dressing sometimes...I use miracle noodles, and sometimes I treat myself to a burrito, I just have to if I get real lethargic it is the magic trick for me. Check with Hardee, she does somewhat the same things, a carb cruncher bread she thinks is good. She does little things off protocol. She can give you some ideas about things she has tried and lost with.

Hi, yep this is the "off-protocol" group. Many go off protocol in different ways. Mine is time spent on hCG, but I follow the food protocol strictly. Others add in different types of veggies or meats, some add the ever popular Walden Farms dressing, some do fff.
My advice is to keep a food journal. See what effects you. What works for some will not work for others. Denise (Hardee) is our go to gal about all things off protocol. I believe she is in P3/P4 now, but she does pop in to see the haps.

Although it's 611 pages long, there are plenty of trial and error stuff that others have tried.

    Good luck, and happy losses.

    Hi to Everyone,

Yes this for sure is the rogue group. For those of you testing the waters I can only offer what worked for me. Like Rusty said we are all different. I still keep a daily weight and food journal. In p2 I used Carb Krunchers bread. It is so much better then the others. I still use it. I only used it every other day though. I didn't even consider mixing veggies to be rouge. I stuck mostly with asparagus, broccolli and cauliflower. I used Hunt's canned tomato sauce and low sodium bullion to make gravy and sauces for the dry meat. I also used a small sprinkle of butter buds sometimes. I ate eggs more often then I was supposed to and had my homemade sf jello every night. Fat free Fage is good with some flavored stevia in it. I didn't overdo it with the Fage but I did use it. I made mayo with Fage and nonfat sour cream and ketchup with the tomato sauce. All you do is add a little stevia and vinegar. I used apple cider vinegar. There's a lot of experimenting you can do with simple things and make p2 a little more pleasant.
I am still stabilized at LDW and was adding most things back in moderation. I have hit a snag with the cholesterol issue. It's way up there and kind of scary. The bad thing is I do so much better eating fats. It's easier to stay stabilized with the fats. If I followed what the dr said, I'd be totally back to where I was before hcg. He basically told me to eat more breads, pasta
and plain old carbs and stay away from fat. I am kind of in the middle right now. I cut back the bad fats some but I still love cheese. Also my hair is slightly improved with the addition of Nioxin but it's still falling out. The dr never mentioned my thyroid but I am wondering about it. He was too busy ranting about cholesterol. Sorry, just had to share that.

It began on my first round of HCG. I cheated one day I ate my P2 Foods Steak, broccoli, strawberries, melba toast, but then I had about 3 shots of SKYY Vodka mixed with green tea. Woke up the next morning and was down 4.1 lbs. Though it was a fluke, and tried it again a week later. Down 3.9lbs. Since then I have purposely tried it 4 more times. Basically I do a steak Day. 8z of steak and a tomatoe, sometimes i will have strawberry and coffee with 1 tbsp of heavy whipping cream then about 2-3 shots of vodka mixed with lemon juice and stevia. This week I have been having losses of only .5 -.8 a day. So I said I would try my tried and true Vodka Steak day. Did it last night and for the 7th time I was down 3.8lbs. I'm going to try it again today for the 8th time as see if my result remain consistent as I have never tried it two days in a row. I will keep everyone posted.
Hi kdarnell, I was curious of your latest trial on this-certainly sounds interesting! So you do steak days on P2 mixed with the vodka shots? Do you do the steak day according to the p3 way, i.e. eating the steak at night?
    Thanks

I have to say I added extra protein and mixed veggies as I said above but I didn't mess with different fruits. I think insulin resistance was a big problem for me so I was afraid of the sugars in fruits. I ate strawberries most of the time. I found that oranges stalled me. I did eat some cantaloupe too. All of the rogue things I did were very low in carbs and sugar. I found that adding protein was fine. I used whey protein shakes maybe once or twice a week. I think if I had added extra fruit(sugar) or high carb veggies I may not have done so well. My Carb Krunchers bread is only 2.5 net carbs a slice and about 40 cals. I only ate 1 slice every other day. I totally avoided fats too. The worst thing I did with fats was eating dark meat chicken instead of breasts and I didn't start that till r2. I cheated with some tuna sometimes too. I forgot to mention that if you add dill to the above mayo recipe, it makes decent tartar sauce too.

I am not sure how to post a new post...can you tell me how to navigate this site a little.., I am doing a rouge version of the hcg diet., using homeo drops, not so sure about them, thinking of switching to real hcg injections..I am having a stall at 140, i actually was 143 went to 140 then to 137 and back to 140...taking a break for a few days and then plan on getting back on it tuesday, since its just homeo drops I dont think it will matter much..

Are you doing a planned interuption, or not following protocol, or stopping all of it?
