You should not be hungry on the correct dose of HCG. If you are, eating extra food will not fix that.
If hunger doesn't go away after meals, or by taking a hot drink, then you have a dose problem.
But to answer your question, vegetarians and vegans have had success replacing their protein portions with Jay Robb shakes (whey or egg white protein) and SunWarrior. Although with the SunWarrior shakes, you will lose about half the amount you would have with animal protein sources.
Some people add a protein shake after a hard workout. (This should not be necessary. If you are already doing a hard workout before starting HCG, your body is used to it and you will have enough energy to continue. You just won't have endurance to do more.)
But adding calories to the 500 allowed is off protocol, so doing that is a personal experiment. It may work for you, it may not. No way to predict.
