Wanna go rogue, how to start?

I've had no luck maintaining weight lost doing the protocol the traditional way so am thinking about going rogue... but what exactly does that mean? I couldn't find a "sticky" in the forum.

    Thanks!

There is no sticky because it's nothing we would recommend. There are as many variations of rogue as there are weeds. LOL Some people mix vegetables and some cut out fruit and add protein instead. Some count calories and eat whatever they want. But going rogue isn't going to help you maintain. It usually just makes you lose less on a round but some are happier while doing it and don't feel deprived. If you're having trouble maintaining, you need to figure out the why and fix that. Going rogue won't fix that for you unfortunately.

Thanks, Grammy. I've been on Nature-Throid since Jan 2014, I thought that would help w/ the weight but nope, not at all, despite my Free T3 being in the top 1/4 of the range

Do you know if fibroids prevent weight maintenance after the protocol? My GYN suspects fibroids and is doing an endometrial biopsy on me in one week. The following day I'll have a pelvic ultrasound. She's checking me for more serious issues too but if it is fibroids, could that be the source (or one of the sources) of my problem? I was going to post about this in the medical questions forum but it looks like ILuvKats hasn't been active on the forums in a year (hope she's ok!)

    Thank you!

Fibroids are usually from low progesterone which definitely can affect weight. You might get your female hormones pulled on day 19-21 of your cycle. The other thing is that low thyroid is often tied in with low adrenal function which is often found with leaky gut which causes a lot of food sensitivities. So figuring out your real issue is important. Good luck with the fibroid issue!
