40-day round of HCG eating only meat? (carnivore / lion diet influenced)

**** Yes I'm familiar with the original protocol and what may happen if going off of it, I've been on this forum for 10+ years, that being said:

I've decided to do a 40-day round, cutting out everything except the protein portions.

I'll only be eating 3.5oz/100 grams of meat per day for P2.

For P3, I know I'm supposed to eat 1,500 calories for 3 weeks, just to clarify, it no longer has to be lean meat correct? Fatty meat is now ok?

If anyone has any thoughts or other guidance on doing a 100% meat-based HCG round let me know, please?

Technically, you can eliminate any of the menu items, but you will likely have trouble reaching 500 calories on the protein portions alone.

I'll only be eating 3.5oz/100 grams of meat per day for P2.
So you are halving the allotted protein portion and only eating once a day? You are basically describing a protein-sparing fast, something that was popular 50 years ago (except your protein won't be pre-digested). It was something I tried and I have to say it was a horrible experience, and I was sick the whole time. I hope you have a better experience.

For P3, I know I'm supposed to eat 1,500 calories for 3 weeks, just to clarify, it no longer has to be lean meat correct? Fatty meat is now ok?
There is no calorie limit in P3. 1500 calories is the suggested minimum for fueling your metabolism during P3. Most people do better on more than that. This guideline comes from experience on the forums here, it is not in the protocol. In P3 you can eat all meats, lean or fatty. Have that well-marbled steak if you wish. Just make sure you address hunger when it appears, and stop when satisfied, not full. The calories will take care of themselves. The only reason to count calories is to make sure you are eating enough.

This post was repeated 5 or 6 times this morning, and is a repeat of posts from.a couple of weeks ago. Are we sure this poster isn't a troll, Leez?

Not a troll. windycityxx has been on the forum for around 10 years and has made many relevant posts over that time. I removed some of the duplicates of this post that were in redundant forums and left some in the random forums for now. Giving some grace to a long time member.

I wasn't planning to only once a day, just 3.5oz twice a day, unless people here convince me I should eat a bit more?

You did a protein-only HCG round? It it was off HCG, and if you had enough fat, most people love it; including myself. Most people don't eat enough fat, if eating only meat.. off of HCG, normal eating etc.

This forum is pretty dead, hoping for exposure, check my post history, definitely not a troll, I've been on these forums for twice as long as you.

Ok; sorry, but there were 5 or 6 duplicate posts and they all said pretty much the same thing as your posts last month.

No, when I did it, it wasn't with HCG. And there was no fat involved. Only the meager calories from the pre-digested protein. I was constantly ill, nauseous and fatigued the whole time, yet desperation made me continue anyway. Of course, I gained it all back nearly immediately. Definitely not recommended!

You can certainly give your plan a try. People tinker around with the protocol all the time and some say their tweaks work for them. The original protocol works for me, both in not feeling sick during it, and in being able to stay at a normal weight afterward, so I don't see any reason for me to change it up. However, were I to try a meat only version, it seems logical to keep the lean meat recommendations, but increase portions enough to get closer to the 500 calories recommended. HCG works to release existing fat stores to be used as energy during the process. It makes sense to me that if you use fatty meats instead of lean ones, you would prevent that process from being as effective. You would be providing another fat source other than your body's stored fats and likely slow the losses at the least. At worst, you might not be able to maintain your losses.

OK thanks for the idea of eating up to 500 cal of meat, I'll go with that and the lean meat.

I meant OFF hcg, the lion/carnivore diet you eat a lot of fatty meat. Not lean.

Fat gives you energy, and like you, if you don't get enough, you'll feel terrible... just wanted to give you clarification if you ever decide to look into the carnivore or lion diet. I think they recommend around 60% of all calories from meat to be fat.

Eating protein without fat will do that, Leez - as will consuming excessive omega-6 fats.

I have been eating a ketogenic diet for six years. When using hcg, I allow myself one cup of coffee with HWC. I don't feel good when I go totally "cold turkey" on fats.

Thanks for the clarification, windy. Yes, I did think you were talking about using fatty meats with HCG.

It's unlikely I would ever try the carnivore diet. My experience with low-no carb diets was all negative, and the HCG diet is the only one I've ever tried where I actually feel good during the diet part. I've also become convinced that women, especially, need the hormone support that is provided by unprocessed slow-burning carbs. I am not discounting gz9gjg's experience. She has found what works for her and her particular metabolism challenges.

While I am not super-thin, I'm still in the normal weight range for my age and body type, able to eat all food groups, feel well, and wear a size 6 jean, all thanks to the original protocol, and working out my maintenance plan through trial and error. So I'm pretty happy with all of that.
