    Battling the flu

This is my 5th day on phase 2 and its been going well. Except now I think I have gotten the flu or just a really bad cold and I need some relief badly. What is ok to take for the flu or a cold? I am taking Vitamin C, D and Calcuim already. And antihistamines when needed.

Any medications without sugar or starch or oils is fine.

Personally, I would stop the round if I got the flu during P2 and start over when healthy again. It's a lot of stress on your body dealing with a severe illness and trying to continue the diet. It's hard enough when you are feeling good.

What are the downsides to just stopping for a few days? I'm using the injections and taking phentermine and I feel like I'm doing really well. I'm scared to stop and not be able to catch my stride again. If I stop, do I just continue in a couple days doing the 500 calories a day or do I get more loading days 🙊

The downside is that you likely will not keep your losses.

You are going to be depleted by your illness during the break, so it would be a good idea to load again. You can minimize the load gain by sticking mainly to protein and the omega 3 fats for the loading days.

It's concerning that you are taking phentermine. If your dose is correct, you should not be hungry. Strong hunger is your signal that your dose needs an adjustment. Appetite suppressants mask that, and you can end up losing the wrong kind of weight. Which means damage to your metabolism and an inablility to stabilize in P3.
