Talking And it begins! First timer :)

Here I am, a little over a week out from wisdom teeth removal, and feeling fantastic. I thought maybe it would throw a monkey wrench into my plans to start loading today, but thankfully I couldn't have been more wrong. Which brings me to why I'm here....

It's my first time!!! ...You don't hear that every day, do you? I'm loading, starting today, looking forward to VLCD1 come Tuesday. I'm doing subingual drops (not homeopathic) and my weight this morning was 179.2. I'm off to find a tracker to add to my profile (I think they're the most fun little things, and the easiest most simple way to stay motivated on a daily basis when doing something that might be tedious - working on the computer).

I've read Pounds & Inches (more times than I'd like to admit) and I have it bookmarked, it's so helpful. I can see now why you guys were so excited to get started. With a plan in front of me, a structured plan, and little goals to meet along the way, I'm so stoked to get moving.

Lastly.... Partially because I didn't want to get dry socket, and partially because it was time - I quit smoking! 29 years old, smoked for 14 years or so (sad, right?). It's been 9 days since I last smoked, and I'm feeling great. It's so nice to be able to breathe again. Soooooo... I'm also going to join the gym nearest me - and my dad is paying my membership for the year ($100) for Christmas. I'm so tickled over all of this... It's a very nice sized community gym, kind of like a YMCA. Once I get settled in and see how much physical activity beyond elliptical and walking I'm comfortable with doing (probably more walking than anything else while VLCD), I totally want to try out a jazzercise or zumba class - I've never done either.

Mods - I wasn't sure where to land this thread, so if you feel it's in the wrong forum please let me know! Or move it (and still let me know). Thank you!!

Howdy! Day 2 of loading. Woke up this morning at 176.2, 3lbs less than yesterday. I ate what I could yesterday, including cream in my coffee, avocado, eggs, cheese, grits (with butter), peanut butter, banana, and Peanut M & M's with my movie. So... Hey, I'm okay with that. Feeling good so far today, no reason to feel otherwise. Yay for that as well. Looking forward to VLCD. Aside from the changes it will bring, I enjoy being creative with my cooking, especially when there are restrictions on it. So, I'm looking forward to coming up with new dishes that are still P2 friendly. It will be fun.

Hope everyone had a happy holiday weekend!

Hi AimMee. I've been loading all weekend and starting vlcd1 tomorrow. I'd like to have someone to help keep me in line and chat with. I hope your weekend is going well!

HI! *waving* Perfect timing! I'm one day behind you, VLCD1 Tuesday for me, but I think we'll be lined up nicely. It's so much better when there are people close to you in what they're doing too. Have you done HCG before or is this your first round? What are your goals, etc?

Congrats on your first time AimMee - lots of great advice here! You two should both join the Thanksgiving day loaders in the P2 area. Lots of people just getting started on their VLCD - my first low cal day is tomorrow so we are super close in timing.

:-) Good luck to you both!!!!

    Hi AimMee,
I also am brand new. I started my program Nov 26th.. I started at 178.3 so we are pretty close in weight! I want to lose 38-40 lbs. I am going to a Wellness clinc and am being monitored eg. blood pressure, body fat, thyroid etc... I am doing 4 weeks of a cleanse using shakes and veggies, organic chicken and fruit. very restricted on what foods. ive already lost 8 lbs! I drank either regular or diet soda every day and visited the snack machine too. I love food and really havent been making good choices at all.. so I am so glad to have found the HCG diet and this forum. CONGRATS on quitting smoking!! that is so wonderful and such a great thing to do for yourself!! Yay! So anyway.. Here we are. What is your plan like? I dont start my hcg shots till Dec 27th.. the thing im most worried about is losing my hair.. Have you heard about that at all?
