I'm doing really well with IF. As Leez mentioned, it kind of started naturally during P2, which I'm still on, and I plan to continue into P3 because now it's a helpful habit. Jason Fung's The Obesity Code, Gin Stephens' Fast, Feast, Repeat, and Bert Herring's AC: The Power of Appetite Correction have been really helpful reads for me. I am hypothyroid, however, so I'll keep an eye out for any adverse reactions as I go. When I've done IF in the past it hasn't worked, but the idea of the "clean fast" learned from Gin Stephens has been a game changer for me.

That was my question, how does Fasting affect P3 when my goal was to keep my metabolism up by eating more & consistently. Im a Faster, but with P3 I have not found a happy medium yet; Ive actually found that my appetite has increased and I get hungry often so I eat. Im going into P4 tomorrow and I still have about 5 lbs I want to lose and I need help trying to figure out how to do it. I dont want to do another round for 5-6 lbs..ANY suggestions?

I would say give it time, honestly. Eat when you're hungry. You can tweak your eating windows and ways you do IF if you want, or you can just ride it out for a while with finding your "happy medium" as you say. Also, are you exercising? Will you be? Is it possible the scale isn't the best measure with such a small amount you still want to lose? Could shifting your body composition through exercise give you the results you're after--even if it takes a bit longer?

    Best of luck to you!

Intermittent fasting is not really a good idea in P3. In P3, you need to eat well and often to keep your metabolism stoked after the time on HCG.

I wrote some thoughts on this here: Can I do IF with P3? ( intermittent fasting )

Intermittent fasting is something to try once you get to P4. You could see how you do continuing your P3 eating and gradually adding some root veggies and whole grains to see how you tolerate them. You may find your body is super happy and starts to drop a little on its own. And then if you feel you need to try the IM, you could do that. Or you may find you are super sensitive to carbs, and might benefit from first doing a month of the Fast Metabolism diet (Haley Pomroy) which fixes carb sensitivity.
