Anytime you change anything in your body, your period can be affected. Diets, stress, environment, etc. If it's only been a few days, I woudn't worry too much, but if it's been more than like 2 weeks and you're normally always on time, then I would test just to be sure. I skipped a whole period one month just due to stress, and my dr told me it was perfectly normal. It came back fine the next month.

Although, I agree with the above poster, I thought I read in P&I that a pregnancy test would come up positive anyway if you're taking HCG, so women would need to stop taking it for 5 days first before testing. So I dunno how that works. It can't hurt to try.

How long can you be late on your period??
You have been given an answer, my friend. There is no definitive answer to your question of "how long". Personal menstrual response to hcg varies with the individual just as individual menstrual cycles vary. The bottom line is, if you think you might be pregnant, TAKE A TEST and find out. Don't waste time guessing. If you are pregnant, you need to stop the diet. Period. If you aren't, then you can forge ahead.

I had a 32 day cycle on hcg, and I usually have a 24 to 26 day cycle. I had no doubts that I was NOT pregnant because I have faulty ovaries and can't get pregnant. It can DELAY your cycle. You're supposed to use extra back up while on hcg in part because you don't know if it will delay your period, and you actually *can* have a positive pg test while on it, which can be confusing. So next time, just be safe, huh? Use back up?

then some people get it after 2 weeks on hcg. Not me thank God.

This round it delayed my period by 3 days. I was starting on Sunday, now Tuesday. Everyone is different though. As you have just learned, it does delay.
