    Hungry and week

    I am on day 5 of P2

I’m hungry (growling stomach) and weak and shaky all day long. I feel better for about an hour after I eat, then it starts all over again.

I’m on 15 dosage of .3cc syringe tried 14 for 2 days feel same.
(11,000 iu dosage vial from Dr. Pharmacy compounded.)

Loss of about 1 lb. per day
    loss today was .6

I have total of 40 lbs. to lose

    I’ve stayed on protocol to a T.

Do I go up or down? Not on anything other than B-12 injections 3x p/w

The only way to tell is to skip your next injection and see how you feel after 4 and into the night. You can't just change the dose for a day because that's not long enough to tell. I suspect your dose is too high for you which is common. If you feel better after a skip day, go down to 125 iu which is 12.5 units on your syringe.

Thank you, I’ve been so confused as to which way to go because of feeling this way all day long. I was also afraid to skip not knowing how long hcg stays in your system. I’ll skip tomorrow and check back in at the end of the day. Today was 7th SQ day. I think from reading hunger all day or at night is too much, too little if hunger is in the morning. I actually think I feel a tad better when I first wake up and start with the hunger after my injection. Then it’s downhll for the rest of the day. Ugh. I so want this to work.

Ok so far so good this morning... definitely not hungry like I’ve been. Mood better, a tad weak but I feel that is going to pass as well. Last few days by now I was watching the clock for the 4 hours to pass so I could have lunch. Slight growling on and off, but not feeling like I want to empty out the fridge as I have for the last 2 days all day long shortly after my injection. Sense of smell has become VERY increased. Anyone else experience that?
I am open to any and all comments.
Weight loss has always been a struggle for me, would lose, and regain for the last 20 years. Very unsupportive hubby as he does not have a weight problem and feels will power is all I need. While he sits and eats wings, pizza, snacks, ice cream and glares at me when I decide to indulge. I have yo-yo’ed for so many years my metabolism is in the dumpster from starvation diets. Last time on weight watchers doing EXACTLY what I should an NO cheating I gained weight. Who does that? I’m now under a Dr. care (endocrinologist) that feels my metabolism is tanked and this should fix it. Anyway didn’t mean to go on but he was less than encouraging this morning asking me how long before I fail on this diet... glad I found this forum, I’m going to need the support.
I’ll be checking in later today.

The real test of the skip day is after 4pm and into the early evening. What happens before that is not important to the result, but that you already feel some relief is a good thing. Hang in there today and be sure to give us the post 4pm report. Once your dose is right, you will find this the easiest diet you've ever been on from a physical comfort aspect.

I totally understand your frustration with other diets. I was in a similar condition and was once at the place where a 3 week water-only fast only produced a 2 pound loss. People think you have to be lying, but you can really damage your metabolism to the point where you gain on diets others lose on. Yay for an endocrinologist that is an HCG promoter. Thats pretty amazing in itself. But he's right. You are on your way to healing.

    Ok so here it is...

Definitely not as hungry today! Didn’t eat lunch until almost 1:00, only had protein, veggie and strawberries skipped he bread stick. Slightly hungry now.

Saw Dr. Today, she said they used to start people on 125 but found too many to be hungry so they now start at 150. She has said she feels I need to be upped not lowered. She said it’s ok for me to try either method. They prescribe phentermine and commends the fact that I don’t want to use it as a crutch. (I am leaving for a cruise in February and she did say that in that I will be starting P3 the day I leave that she would prescribe the phentermine to take with me just so I don’t fall off the wagon my very first week on P3. And sad If I don’t need it, then Kudos)

So yes, I’m a tad hungry now at 5:30 my dinner will be after 6:00 (going out tonight and already looked at the menu)

In a nut shell, mild hunger all day, but manageable.

My question now is, tomorrow do I go up or down? (Dr. Said up because it’s all day, not just morning or not just evening, I’m confused because it’s less than it was over the last few days)

    150 for 7 days (2-1/2 were load days) 4 days on P2

If hunger is less in early evening then you go down.

If hunger is stronger in early evening you go up.

Its normal to have a little hunger right before regular meal time. What is not normal is to get hungry right after eating.

Even going by your doctors measuring rod, you said your hunger was less earlier in the day, so that still indicates you need to reduce dose. Drop your dose to 125iu tomorrow. You'll know soon enough if it was the wrong direction.

If you are hungry in P3, you should eat. Its silly to suppress hunger in P3. Problems in P3 are more often caused by not eating enough rather than eating too much.

WOW ...Your hubby words to you are disturbing and unkind...
"All it's take is will power"
"how long before you fail on this diet"

I just want to give you a big warm hug and remind you that YOU absolutely can and will succeed with this protocol.

One thing that really helped me is digging through this forum and watching online videos of "real" people who have successfully done this HCG protocol.

I'm on round 2 day 7. For me the start up on 2nd round was much smoother than round 1. In the beginning of round 1 my body went through a detox and my mind was processing the reality of what I signed up for. It can be overwhelming at first but then you see the scales go down and you find your rhythm.

You got this! Go have a nice cup of hot tea and tell yourself soHungry and week

Thank you for your response Leez. I will post how it goes tomorrow.
I am quite comfortable tonight we went out with friends. I ordered the grilled chicken breast and said no oil no butter, she asked if I had a food allergy and I said yes. Perfect! Then I got it on top of lettuce, with lemon wedges and squeezed them on it. It was delicious. Only mistake I made was to totally forget about how much chicken there was and I ate the whole thing. I didn’t feel stuffed, so it probably wasn’t too much. Ugh. But, today I had no breadsticks and I skipped my fruit tonight, hope I’m ok tomorrow.
I feel great tonight. Energy has improved, not feeling so weak.

Thank you JesseB for your kind words of encouragement.

You are so right about this forum, wow, what help it is.

Good luck to you on this round! I have a total of 40 lbs. to lose and am hoping to get as close as possible on this round and maybe then finish on my own. But we shall see!

    No weight loss today 😔
Guess it was that extra serving of protein I inadvertently ate last night.

Injected 12.5 today at 8:15 am
Stomach growling like crazy at 10:30
Not 100% if itís actual hunger. Going to drink more water. In waiting room at eye dr and Iím not sitting here looking at the woman with her protein bar across from me wanting to grab it from her. Lol it doesnít appeal to me. Coffee smells good and I so miss my creamer. NDFF but I still miss it.

Stomach growling is not hunger. It is just digestive noises. Try some hot tea to get through, or eat your next meal a little earlier if you wish.

Pay attention, though and see if you have real hunger after you eat. That is a signal that you may need to adjust your dose.

Coffee without cream was always the big deprivation for me in P2. Once I realized my 1 T of milk could be whole milk, it was a lot more pleasant. At least I could have my first cup of the day with that in it.

If you don't mind chemicals, Walden Farms has a line of 0 calorie creamers you could try.
