And the 23 gauge needle if finer and still gets all the medicine through with hardly any pain. I used to be afraid of b12 shot-they used to hurt so bad-but not anymore.
BTW I like your username. We own a restaurant with the name Woody in it and I've actually been referred to as Ms. Woody!
    Happy losing!
Thanks for the info & your experience.
That sounds like the same spot I used/was directed to. I was so surprised when the needle slid in like a hot knife through butter - somehow I didnít think the thigh would be the same lol. I will pay more attention to the feel of it when I push it in to see if I can feel a difference in the resistance. Once I took some time to identify the right spot and feel good about that, I was in a rush just to get it done/over and I wasnít really thinking about anything else lol. And after the first went so easily and the dose worked so well I just went with it and didnít think much about it. Only now that I am revisiting starting a round did I stop to think about the finer points.

I found a note from an old log/journal I kept and I did use 1 1/2Ē needle. I went slow with the injection and felt a different level of resistance as the needle went in further, so **hopefully** that means Iím good.

Leez maybe this is why I may have had trouble during my last round. After reading everyoneís notes, I will pay closer attention to when I inject and how it feels as it gets pass the skin, when I start my next round on May 16. This was a very interesting thread to read.

Obviously not Leez, but just thought I would let you know what I am finding this round. I have been experiencing low level hunger all day on IM this time (VLCD 1 was Tuesday) like I did on subq when my dose was too high, even though it was so very much lower than nearly everyone elseís correct dose. I was coming down to around 85, I believe, when I switched to 125iu via IM injections at Grammyís advice. This was almost one year ago. No rounds after and did not stretch past 40 injections; in fact, I stopped around 36 since I couldnít get more HCG with everything closed due to covid. Since 125 is supposed to tune the sweet spot for everyone, and the HCG isnít supposed to build up in your system like subq, I was blaming other things (like needle length or injection location) for the hunger issue and hoped Iíd just settle in. Itís not the raging hunger of much too large doses, I was not eyeing my cats to see how big of a pan I might need to roast them in, lol, just a watching the clock and ďwhen can I eat next?Ē hunger that I would usually have on a too high dose of subq, then dial it down a bit and be fine. So today is my first regular skip day (planned a full round) and we are nearing 4pm and my hunger is SO much better today. I was satisfied after lunch and am feeling comfortable and not looking at the clock. My guess is that will only get better after 4.

So that is a very long way to say that if you are having issues with hunger on IM too, and like me you have proven to be highly sensitive to HCG, then despite what you may have read in other posts, even with IM you may indeed have to dial your dose down to get comfortable.

I have an email out to Grammy to get her thoughts, hopefully she will weigh in soon.

I use 1 1/4Ē for IM injections. Also, Iíve had to adjust my IM dose down slightly as well.

I found an older post where Grammy said she used 1 1/4Ē needles as well. Good to hear Iím not alone in having to adjust. It is very strange how sensitive I am to HCG. How far have you had to adjust? And if youíve done multiple rounds, have you had to continue to adjust downward?

Typically, I’ve only had to adjust slightly down. However, on this last round, for most of my round I felt like my dose was off slightly. I experienced hunger, not crazy hunger but some hunger which as you know is unusual when your dose is spot on. Towards the end of round, I started skipping every 5 days to make my hcg last longer and my hunger was better so my dose probably should have been adjusted lower earlier in the round. I’m back in P2 for a few days after a PI but I’m using hhcg pellets so hoping I can get my dose correct with these pellets.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am taking my dose down a little today since my hunger so was so much better yesterday and gone after 4/dinner. It sounds like you had the same issue I did (or do) - the hunger you describe sounds exactly like what I was experiencing. What a great idea on increasing skip days, I never thought of that. I hope the rest of your round using the hhcg pellets goes well and you find your dose. Iíve never really looked into the hhcg option, injections *seemed* so much easier and more straightforward. Which now makes me laugh lol. If you are sharing that somewhere I will be interested to hear how that goes. Good luck!!

Actually, I need to make a correction, I skipped every 5th day towards the end, so after 4 days, I would skip. That actually worked out well for me. I’ve done hhcg drops before and they worked great as far as effectiveness. My losses were just as good as with prescription. I agree, injections are easier though, one and done for the day. This is my first time trying the pellets.

Interesting. Depending on how the next few days go, I may attempt that approach and see how it works. I was hesitant to go all the way down to 45, so I lowered to 47 (with the help of a lighted magnifier) to see what the in between dose might do. Hunger (and energy) is definitely better today so more confirmation lowering was the right course of action, but Iím not completely sure itís the sweet spot. I will see over the next few of days and go from there, and now that Iím armed with all this info, I wonít wait for a week to adjust. Good luck with the pellets! Itís an interesting concept/delivery method.
