    I lost .8 lbs overnight - so this was my first morning under a 1 lb loss. I'm not expecting much of tomorrow because I made the meatballs and zucchini spaghetti. I had to have SALT on it since the zucchini was so bland. The sauce was good though. I made it with chopped up tomatoes (my fruit for the meal) a small touch of onion, garlic, fresh basil, oregano and a touch of cayenne pepper. Never added that to my spaghetti sauce before. The zucchini made a really good faux pasta. Another meal DH says he would eat again. He likes to eat primal - so my hCG diet mostly works. He just adds more MEAT....

    Have my doctors appt at 1:00 tomorrow. Not even a whole week of VLCD. Guess it doesn't matter...

    3TimeGirl - ACV is Apple Cider Vinegar. Get Braggs because it has the "mother" in it. Supposed to help with weight loss.... I add a tsp or two to my soda water with some cinnamon and a drop of stevia. It makes a drink called a "shrub" (sort of). In colonial times (i.e. before refrigeration) summer berries wouldn't last long, so they put them in a jar with some ACV to prevent mold. The added this mixture (with some sugar or honey) to a glass of water to make a refreshing drink in an era with no A/C. It was (really) the first "sport drink". Some people still add ACV to apple cider to make it perform better as a sport drink. Just don't use too much because its really sour!

    Good to hear we did well at the holiday picnics, I didn't go to any. I had the day to myself and ended up playing sims. Needed to get my mind off the diet for a day. Another day following protocol to a T! 8 days down no cheating, no hunger today either! Will update in the morning as I can't get online on my pc tonight and the phone is not the easiest to use on the forum :/
    Can't wait to hear about everyone's progress in the am!

    Thanks for the support girls. And well done to all those who had a good with July 4th!

    I was all set to do an apple day tomorrow as I had a look on my scales and sure enough my fluid was up really high! It was yesterday too but I didn't take much notice as I still had a pretty good loss. But today when I saw only 100 grams my brain kicked in and deflated me so I didn't bother looking. Anyway pounds for inches says that it's useless to do an apple day unless weight loss has stalled for more than 4 days! Ahhhh I feel like I've wasted a couple of days now trying to get this fluid down which Pounds for Inches says is almost always due to SALT if it's not a cycle reason or from cheating. And I have been adding salt and perhaps more than I should have. It does stress that they don't recommend cutting salt out and that fluid retention from the use of salt will not interfere with fat loss. It says that if you are consistently using the same amount of salt each day there isn't a problem. But I'm going to cut out salt all together from now on!

    Good Morning Post July 4th!

    Just a quick update this morning, as I have to get going.

    The BBQ last night was great. The fireworks were spectacular (the people whose house we were at live right at the edge of the field where the fireworks are held, so from their deck, we have the best seats possible. We've been friends with them for over 25 years - our husbands went to college together - and we tell them all the time that their house location is the only reason we're friends )

    In any event, I stuck to protocol perfectly! There was tons of food everywhere - yikes - but I just kept telling myself that I didn't need to eat to be happy and have a good time. I made sure I wasn't starving when I got there - I ate an apple before we went over - and I sat through 2 hours of H'ors deurves without even nibbling. Lots of seltzer, which isn't a problem for me, as I'm not a big drinker to begin with. Turns out they were cooking super lean 7 oz beef hambergers for dinner, so I was fine with eating half of that. No veggies or salad I could eat but it was OK. (one question: I'm assuming ketchup is a no-no so I ate the berger with mustard. Was that protocol?) Got home around 11PM, felt great that I stuck to protocol and wasn't even miserable, has 1 plain strawberry that I had saved myself from the strawberry shortcake recipe, and went to bed. If only all social gatherings were that easy!

    Got up this morning and only lost .4 lbs, but I think I'm still on such a high from being able to handle last night, that I don't really even care. A loss is a loss, right?

    Gotta get going for work. Hope everyone had a fabulous day yesterday. It's so nice to have you all to report to!

    Soulfire Hoping you find the salt eliminaton does the trick, but you pretty much covered chapter and verse in protocol, so I don't have any insight to add to your dilema.

    Hondo You have every reason to be proud of yourself, and look at all you resisted. Hope you didn't under eat again, that would make two days in a row of under 500 cals. It is ok to be under 500 but going below 425-400. It can throw things off.

    To Everyone Else Do hope you all woke up this morning and did a little happiness dance And you all have a hunger/headache free day

    I was down .7 this morning. I will take whatever I can get - thank you very much. I] Almost[/I] 10 lbs below my start weight. My pants aren't tight in the waist and cutting off circulation to the lower half of my body and my bras doesn't seem to cutting into me as much. So those are all things to celebrate.

    Lord, do you get up early!! I woke up at 5am from a very vivid dream ( which always happens when I take hcg), and couldn't fall back to sleep and found your post. Glad you made it thru the day yesterday, nice 1 POUND loss--YAH YAH to you. How cool is that?? And how happpy are you.

    I'd like to follow this thread as well as a few others I found with people starting around the same time... you all seem to be doing really well

    3time girl My friend who is also doing this had a very bad dream the night before as well not sure why but she remembers being chased and running like heck...


    I cut a pasted this for another thread from this am...need to get going have to work today bummer! I'll read through here and get to know everyone...catch ya later

    I just love this way of life and waking up to my scale ( at least so far ) I was a litle worred yesterday, I had planned my diiner and my grill wasn't working, got a new tank and found that there is a leak in the hose ;( ended up going out to dinner ordered a Ariz grass fed burger with a salad ate 1/2 the burger used lemon and mustard as dressing had lots of water...and ta da I was still down 1.2 lbs for a total of 5lbs released woohoo doing a happy dance...ps I even had a few choco covered coffee beans...

    will need to get a new fitting for my grill or a total new one like really quickly. I hate doing meat inside during the summer and heat up the kitchen

    going to try doing my zumba gold class today it's only 45 mins and see how it goes and how I feel I'm going to save an apple and eat 1/2 before and 1/2 after to keep my blood sugars level..

    Hey everyone, I hope you all had big giant losses today! Yesterday I didn't get on here, so I wanted to update I didn't lose anything (still messed up from the pizza the other night I assume) but today I woke up to a 1 pound loss, so yay! There is still a small possibility I could make it to the 150s by this weekend! If not by Saturday morning, then hopefully by Sunday

    Hi guys,

    I was hoping I could join you...today is VLCD 1 for me. This is my first round with HCG and I'm starting out with intermountain drops, although I have rx injections that are going to be arriving tomorrow, so I'm planning to switch. Hoping this doesn't throw me off since I'll be 3 days of drops in. I can't lie and act like I hated loading, although by the end of both days I felt so gross and huge that I wanted it to be over with. Last night I would have bet 100 bucks I was up 10 lbs... oy.

    Anyways, I lost 75 pounds on my own with weight watchers and gained back about 15 of it, and since then my body refuses to lose an ounce no matter what I do, so here I am! I'm hoping to lose about 20 pounds below my pre-load weight this round-hopefully that's realistic for a 40 day round. I'm starting medical school in the fall and would like to have my head cleared of my weight issues before I have to lock myself in the library for four years.

    I'm looking forward to at least getting this loading weight off in the next few days hopefully and am SUPER grateful for all the info and support here!

    Hi Beth and thanks for joining up with us. 5lbs in 4 days GONE- nice job!! HAPPY DANCE INDEED !! Hope that grill gets fixed, I can only eat grilled chicken myself so I know exactly what you mean. How did Zumba class go?

    If you split your apple, if I remember correctly that will be your 2 fruits for the day. I remember reading somewhere where you can't save up food to eat later. If I get a cahce I'll look fot it.
