Beth. I would love to see the pictures of your new kitchen. When do you think you can actually start using it?

Lynda. I am officially worried. Other than your FL trip I don't think you have gone this long without posting. Hope all is good.

Robin. Hope you are relaxing and resting seems like work is stressful enough -- so the weekend better not be more of the same.

    Morning!

Hope everyone had a restful and happy weekend!

Marianne - I can totally understand why you wouldn't want to go back to P2 unless your head was really in the game. It's hard enough to stay POP when you are totally committed so I can't imagine trying to do it half-assed. Plus you seem to have mastered maintenance really well and maybe you just need some time to let things settle in before revving up again. When you're good and ready, I have no doubt you'll be successful once more.

Beth - Ditto what Marianne said - need pictures! If you get the Facebook page set up, let us know and give us the URL. How is the construction going?

Lynda - Hope everything is OK - haven't heard from you in a while. Hoping that you're just busy and nothing else. Keep us posted on how P3 is going.

Nothing new with me. I do find that I can eat more and more and still stay below LIW. It's weird. Over the weekend, I ate out once and ate more than usual and then had dinner at a friend's house on Sat night and while I pretty much stayed primal, I did eat a lot for me - appetizers of cheese, nuts, these unbelievably delicious baked dates stuffed with spicy sausage and wrapped in bacon - OMG I couldn't stop eating them! On top of all that, I ate 1/2 sweet potato, a steak and grilled veggies and for dessert, fresh berries with whipped cream. I think perhaps I didn't eat the volume that I thought I did because when I got up from the table I didn't have that stuffed feeling. I ate about 1/2 of the steak, 1/2 the sweet potato and a medium sized bowl of berries. It felt pretty good to be able to eat all that and then get up in the morning, weigh myself and note that I gained only a few ozs, which I don't really count as my weight seems to fluctuate that much on a daily basis anyway. Then yesterday went out to eat again and continued to eat pretty much unrestricted amounts (until I was not hungry anymore but def not stuffed) and this morning my weight was unchanged from yesterday. How great is that?? So feeling very positive about my maintenance plan. Now that I'm done with P4, it feels like I should have some kind of structured plan to go onto a new phase, but I guess that's just called maintenance and I have to figure that part out by myself

Hope you all are doing fine.

Hi Robin-- Glad to see that you posted, I feel like I having been talking into the wind lately. Sounds llike you had a good weekend, and that you are exactly doing what you are suppose to be doing. Relax and enjoy yourself,

Not much new here. Maintaining and weighing in each and every day. I pretty much know what I can eat and not gaiin. I hope when the time comes, after these next POP rounds and I am on maintainence I will be as successful. I wish I was at my goal weight now, not to repeat the process, but can't stay here at this weight, so I know it is looming ahead.

Beth and Lynda hope all is going well with you.

    Later all.

    Good morning all!

Not much to report on here. Really loved this time of year when I lived up North. The leaves changing, the crisp morning air and the lovely warm afternoons. What I dislike, no matter where I live is it getting dark earlier and earlier each day soon to be even earlier when we move the clocks back.

This is notoriously when I found myself gaining weight, between the winter type of meals and the loose clothing I always packed on weight in the winter. Plus with all the holidays, it is a slippery slope that even living in tropical FL is not escape proof. I am not having any issues in maintenance as yet and since I weigh-in everyday I am still holding myself accountable. But all this musing is making me think that I don't want to wait until after the holidays to do my next round. I think I'm going to order my syringes, I already have my hcg sitting in the frig. I'm thinking that maybe I'll think about doing a short round first and if I can handle it switch into a long round, but prepare for a short one first.

Robin. How's all the work for the new project going? And I wanted to ask how are things with DH job? And did DD have a infection from the piercing ? Excuse this question (because I still believe as long as kids are under 21 or being supported financially - they should have parental consent) how did she get a body piercing under the age of 18? And I know you-- you are going to feel obligated to post something even though you have NO TIME!! Not to worry, I don't have much myself. Whenever you can will be just fine..

Beth. How's it going there? Not just the kitchen but this round? Hope you are not getting to stressed out.

Lynda. Ok now I am officially worried. Whatever is going on I hope things get better soon and it was not major or worse.

Beth, Marianne & Robin - So sorry I've been MIA. Just been busy with condo remodel, DD shopping for new apt, getting quotes on upgrading security system, dress shopping for event last Friday, getting ready for trip to Hawaii...

Found a really cute dress (in a 14 Petite!) for a dinner and cabaret show last Friday! Was really happy with how I looked. Yes, I know I still need to lose weight....but such an improvement! 5' 4" is such an awkward height! Some petite clothes fit well....sometimes misses fit well. Some petite clothes are too short (long sleeves....) all misses pants are too long, some even with heels on! Must be nice to fit in one size grouping instead of being between the two!

On Saturday, we scattered my deceased FIL's ashes.... Sad, but brought some closure to his kids.

AFM - No problems with weight. I still weigh myself everyday. Sometimes I'm up and sometimes I'm down. But I stay within a couple of pounds from LDW. I truly feel my metabolism is "reset" since I eat just about anything without gaining and don't have any out of control urges to binge on sweets... Ice cream was always my weakness!

I still plan to go back on hCG once we relocate to Florida after the first of the year... For the first time in YEARS I feel like I am in control of my weight issues! I know I can lose i I stay POP. I may break it up and do one bottle of Releana early next year and the second one in April when I get back up north...

Sounds like we're ALL doing well! One more week until vacation! I guess I will lug my scale along with me LOL!

Marianne - I can so relate to the dread of the shorter days, especially when it's already dark at 5PM. Years ago when I was struggling with my life and depression, I had a therapist tell me that she thought in addition to all my other issues, that she believed I suffered from seasonal disorder. If you aren't familiar with this, it basically is depression caused by the lack of sunlight or shortened daylight hours. She put me in touch with a company that made a special light that was supposed to help relieve the symptoms, which it did. It was kind of a pain to use tho as you were supposed to do it in the morning right after you woke up and you had to sit there under the light for at least 30 mins. Who has time for that everyday?? It did help and I usually try to use when we change the clocks in the fall every year so it doesn't catch up to me. Just a thought.
I think your reasoning behind thinking about another round makes a lot of sense. As you said, you can always do just a short round if it gets too burdensome - there's a lot of flexibility with the plan. And who knows, when you start losing you might be motivated to go longer but however it ends up I think you'll feel better.

Robin. How's all the work for the new project going? And I wanted to ask how are things with DH job? And did DD have a infection from the piercing ? LOL, I have some time. I'm in the midst of stuffing salad into my face at the moment and thoroughly enjoying it. To anser your questions: she had the piercing done on NYC, she said they never even asked her how old she was. The reality is that she could easily pass for 18, she's always looked older than her age. And BTW, I agree with you that while they are living here and being supported by us, they need to abide by our rules, regardless of whether they like them or not (usually NOT!) We had a little run in last night regarding a Halloween party she wants to go to at an under age club. There's no alcohol served but I wanted to talk to the mother of the girl who was arranging this whole thing (there were 500 tickets sold for it and it's open to all HS students except freshmen). My DD had a fit when I called the mom to check out the details. And the mother said how she wished more people had called her! DD was not happy, called me some quite unflattering names, which got her grounded this coming Friday night. And I told her that one more rude or disrespectful word would result in her being grounded for the party, so that kind of shut her up. Anyway, I didn't mean to unload my DD stories to you all here......her piercing is not infected (yet) but the doctor gave her a topical antibiotic cream that she wants her to use twice a day so it doesn't get infected and told her to keep her hands off the damn thing until it heals - she's always playing with it! Ugh, it's gross looking and makes me feel queasy just looking at it. These kids are exhausting me!
Work is good, but busy. I think I've pretty much got the big deal working and on it's way. Now I just have to wait for the linguists to finish their part so we can start the reviewing process. And yesterday I got another decent sized job with a referral from the guy who is running the big job! Guess he must like what he sees so far!
DH likes his new job, but you know how stressful things are when you first start a job. So he's been kind of remote and cranky lately, which is not all that surprising, considering he feels tremendous pressure to get this thing up and running. Not that it makes it any easier around here but we'll survive.

Lynda - So glad to hear from you! Don't feel bad about leaving us in the dust We understand! (just kidding, I hope you realize) Sometimes things just get in the way in life. Glad to hear that you were just busy and everything is OK. I envy you the warm sun soon in Hawaii - how long are you staying? I'm already dreading the winter here. I like the fall, as Marianne said, its cool in the morning but warms up in the afternoon and when it's not raining, it's just beautiful. Bit then the cold weather moves in, and the days get shorter, and I hate it. I'm one of those people who always feels cold and I think it's getting more so as I get older. And the snow, ugh. Last winter we had 2 episodes of no power for 10 days - one from hurricane Irene and one from a freak ice storm on Halloween. It was brutal. Does not leave me with any positive winter vibes!

Beth -You OK? You've certainly got a full plate with all the things going on. Kitchen almost done?

OK, gotta get back to work. Good thoughts going your way......

    Hi everyone!

I actually tried posting last night from my phone, but no luck.

Not much new here, We are expecting a cool front, which will be nice after the last few days of being hot and humid once again.

Robin-- I don't miss the cold, biting chill that cuts right thru you. In fact anything below 70 is cool to me, the older I got the less I tolerated or liked winter. It's ok for about 6 wks, love snow and fireplaces, after 6 wks I am done witih shoveling and the wind chill nonsense. The fireplaces I miss, we had 4 in our house in MD, here we have a chimmenia. When we built the house here, we opted not to have any put in. And basically since 1995, I think the longest we ever had the heat on was about 7 days, so a fireplace really would rarelly get used. Kind of like in high school, when I would drive with the top down on my car, and the heat going full blast.
Glad DH is being challenged and busy. Of course, where else do they feel free to unload the stress of the day, wonder why women don't get the same luxury. With your DD, raising a teen daughter is not for the faint of heart. Although, everyone tells me once they grow-up, they become human to us again. Still waiting, and my dd turns 20 at the end of the month, but she called last night and we talked, really talked to over an hour. I can't remember when the last time we just had a conversation. Don't expect it will be a reccuring theme, but it is a crack in the door opening. So hang tough, and keep following thru with consequences.

Lynda- Whew! Glad to hear all is well. Busy is good, and maintaining is even better!! Your new clothes sound so pretty, glad to hear you have found some pretty things.

Beth. How is it going with you.? Stay well all..

Hope everyone is doing well. We are watching football and snacking.... I'm still easily staying within 2 lbs regardless of what I eat. Was up 2 lbs yesterday, watched what I ate during the day and was down .8 this morning. I'm so happy with hCG and the metabolism reset related to it!

We're having a new security system installed tomorrow. The current one has been here for almost 10 years, so we're going to newer technology. Good time to do this before we leave on vacation.

I'm already looking forward to my next round in January and hope one of you will also be back on P2 so we can encourage each other!

    Morning!

I've been AWOL also, but never for too long!

Marianne- Hope the visit with your DD isn't too stressful. Just remember to take a deep breath and stay calm (easy for me to say, huh?)
Have you made any decision yet about when to start P2 again?

Lynda - Welcome back! Was starting to get a bit concerned that you dropped off the face of the earth! Glad to hear you've just been busy.
Regardless of whether any of us is back on P2 when you start again in January, we'll be here to support you. It's not like we don't know what it feels like

Beth - Earth to Beth - you still out there? Don't forget about us! Hope the kitchen is either completed or nearly so by now. Do you love it?

Things are relatively calm here. Today is my youngest son's 14th birthday and he wanted to celebrate by going into the city and having dinner at Ruth Chris's steak house. He ate there once before, had their filet mignon and was hooked! So that's his celebration this year. The 4 of us will go in, along with his best friend, and meet DH. I think he'll be really happy with his gift this year - an electric guitar that he's been drooling over for the past year! His birthday is always kind of a strange day for DH and I, as he was born quite prematurely (26 weeks) and really struggled for the first few months of his life. It was an incredibly stressful period for us all and when his birthday rolls around we are always torn between being so happy that he actually made it and then usually getting somewhat tearful over remembering the experience. I wonder if that will ever go away completely on his birthday. But both he and his parents are so incredibly lucky that it turned out so well - and we definitely realize it could have easily gone in a different direction.

My weight is still pretty stable without much effort on my part. I did manage to overeat a bit last week and yesterday the scale registered 116 - the first time I ever went over my LIW since completing P2. But the good part is that I knew I overate, I got on the scale knowing that it wasn't going to make me happy, and got right back on the wagon the very next day so by today I was back down to the 114s. And even better, I didn't freak out like I did last time, I just told myself I would eat very carefully for however many days it took me to get back to below 115. It worked! It all seems so simple now but for the life of me I can't figure out why it took me almost 60 yrs to figure this out. Maybe I'm just slow......

Hope you all have a great week!

Robin - 26 weeks is so early! I can understand your feelings around DS birthday!
Marianne - DD will be moving out in the next few weeks and (though I will miss her!) part of me will be relieved because its one less person's schedule and eating preferences to consider all the time! LOL
Beth - Kitchen?? I am STILL finalizing some details and need to WORK ON IT today - before we leave on vacation!

ROBIN - I share your feelings about how easy it is NOW to not re-gain weight! I used to read all the posts about hCG resetting your metabolism and thought a lot of it must be a bunch of BS.... I couldn't really believe that:
    1. my body's response to food would be different
    2. I would lose some of the food cravings
    3. I would stop habitual snacking in the evening

Its AMAZING! I am anxious to see if its the same after I lose more weight....

I need to get the laundry started, review remodel contract, etc!
