    Question about multiple rounds

    Hi everyone,

    So, I am P4D7 and already thinking ahead to my next round. This was my first round on hcg, and am quite pleased with the results. I lost 24 lbs this round and have been pretty stable throughout P3 and P4 at or about 2 lbs under LDW.

    I am planning my next round, as I still have about 35 lbs to my goal of 115. And I am being realistic that I will probably have to do a 3rd round as well to get all the way down to goal.

    So, Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner (5.5 weeks away). My initial plan was to wrap up P4 a couple of days early (3) and start loading for the next round on April 30 & May 1 and then do P2 through May 24, giving me Thursday and Friday to finish VLCD before the holiday weekend.

    We always have a big group of people visit us that weekend. We spend it on a houseboat. Everyone brings enough food for their own family, plus some special treats to share. We end up potlucking every meal and there are plenty of choices that I can easily fit into my P3 menu, so that is not a concern.

    My question is this. For those of you who have done multiple rounds to get to your goal, do you think it would be better to postpone my next round until After Memorial Day, or stick with my plan above? I am torn... These friends haven't seen me since October (warm weather friends), so I am anxious to be as slim as possible by the time I see them. On the other hand, I don't want to mess up my progress by cutting phases short to "hurry" things along and possibly not lose as much as possible. Lastly, I'm leaning towards postponing R2 until after the holiday to try to avoid the "you're starving yourself" "you're going to ruin your health" comments and lectures.

    Maybe I will just treat the holiday weekend as my loading days for R2.

    I have planned my rounds around holidays before and done fine. You'll still be able to enjoy all of the non-carb foods and if you cheat you can do a correction day. You'll just end up spending more time in P3 than you would have if you cheat. For me personally, I would do the round, especially if your head is in it to get the weight off. I have even started rounds early, right after P3 and been fine. Other people might not agree with it but I stabilized fine when I only took 3 weeks off between rounds. So maybe you can consider starting your next round early and having a little extra time in P3 before the holiday.

    Thanks Danas. My head is SO in the game right now. I've also thought about dealing with the "starvation lecturers" with - hey, you haven't seen me in over 6 months, what do you expect? And since I will be in P3, I can eat just about anything I want. I haven't eaten english muffins, pancakes, french toast in years, so that won't be any different than normal for me.
