Anyone else back after being successful losing weight but then gaining it all back?

    Hello,

I was very successful in mid-2012 with the HCG diet. I did two 40 day rounds and ended up going from 186.8 to 151.0lbs. I maintained for about 6 months, but then went through a divorce and everything went by the wayside. Over the last 2 years or so, I have gained all of it back plus interest!!

I hate that I let it happen, but the bottom line is that I DID and I am correcting it now.

I am in a very happy relationship, with an amazingly supportive man and I the only thing that could make me happier is losing the weight I gained. So, that is what I am going to do.

I have decided to do three 26 day rounds and hope that I can lose about 30-45lbs in total during that time, which would take me to right around the time I turn 40!

I am currently on Round 1, phase 2 (VLCD), day 17. I have lost 11.6lbs so far & I'm damn proud of that!

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me?

I KNOW I can do this, it's just a matter of getting 'er done. And you can too!

Please don't let a man or your relationship status be the catalyst for your weight gain/loss, as it can have serious health consequences to your body to be up and down so much . The singer Luther Vandross would do this in his later years, and ended up having health problems that most likely contributed to his death in his mid 50s.

I'm not doing this for a man. My partner loves me exactly the way I am - I am doing this because I don't love me exactly the way I am. Not sure what gave you the impression I was doing this for anyone other than me. Going through a divorce was very stressful and I didn't have time to eat properly because I was working a full time job as well as a part time job and still trying to be the best Mom I could be - it had nothing to do with my relationship status, but thanks for your opinion.

Anyone else back after being successful losing weight but then gaining it all...

Forgive me if I misread, but it just seemed like you were wanting to lose weight now that you are in a new relationship. I actually envy any person whose partner accepts them physically as they are without them wanting to change. I've been with men who always seemed to want me to be the opposite of what I am. If I had light hair, they wanted someone with dark hair, I had big boobs and small hips, they wanted someone with small boobs and big hips, my hair was long, they wanted someone with a pixie cut. I was heavier they wanted someone thinner, i was thinner (when young ) and told I was too skinny, I am tall an Amazonian, they wanted someone short, I wore makeup, they wanted some who didn't and on and on!

If getting thin will hep you health wise, and boost your own self- image, I say ROCK ON!!

I did a P1 and P2 round last summer and lost 25 lbs. While my overall situation hasn't changed, I just didn't complete the whole program and have gained all of it back.
I am now at 250lbs, .5 lb more than when I started last July.

This time, I'm going to do it right and I've got enough for a 2 15 day rounds, so I may just do the whole 30 day P2 at once.

    Good luck on your journey.

Dr. Simeons said he would never give a course of less than 23 injections. Most on this forum say that to really stabilize well, you should try to do at least a 30 day round. If you did short 15 day rounds before, that might be one of your problems the last time.

Good for you Hallewoodntwins! I also had a very stressful time after a divorce and gained quite a bit (all the weight I am trying to lose...ahem...50 lb). I had kept off that weight, which I originally lost when I was in high school, for a long time. So it was super disappointing to gain it back.

But now I am now also happy in my relationship and loved for who I am. It makes such a difference in your success on every level. And because you did it once, you can do it again. You know how to be successful and so do I! I am also sneaking up on my 40th in the next year so we will be extra hot!!

I'm right there with you! I lost 34 pounds my first round in 2012 and then I had a baby 10 months ago and paleo eating went right out the door! So now I'm back to my old weight plus some! Can't wait to receive my hcg so that I can start again. Good work for losing 11 pds!!

I keep cycling the same 30 pounds over and over and over.... I find that P2 is easy for me, I was never able to complete P3 properly... And when it comes to P4, I am absolutely not capable of introducing one food group at time... And I don't even have a good reason for regaining all this weight, like stress or baby. I guess, I am just being too lazy to monitor my weight and address the problem right away.

I still find it so strange that I regain weight so fast. I don't remember ever yo-yoing until I tried HCG.

I am one LOL Well, not funny but thanks to some wonderful people here I realize I best be positive from now on!

2 years ago I did one 60 day round...I was encouraged by someone doing long 60 day rounds, but will only do POP this time, with 46 day rounds skipping one day per week). I lost over 50 #s! I was in the 220's and ended at lowest 169-170. That really showed a difference, I was so happy to be on my way.

Then I let sad life and death situations in my life interfere. I will not ever do that again! No matter what is happening, I WILL continue on with this totally POP. Just the way it will be. I never did do a ph 3 after that great ph 2.....

    March 2nd VLCD 1
SW~ 222.6 Today is VLCD 17 Weight today 208 so 14.6 loss so far.

So I started back with a little more weight on than last time which proves that I MUST get to goal this time, and do it the right way.

Not sure how I will do PH 3 yet exactly. I will want to work out but can only do so in the morning which leaves the Leptin Reset out

My plan was to do Paleo and I think my eating will look very similar to that.

Anyone else have a plan ahead? I am trying to prepare for my new lifestyle...without pastry (unless homemade with coconut or almond flour haha, but for special occasions) and sauces. I am going to eat clean since I know how healthy that is and how much energy I have when I eat clean!

Have a wonderful happy POP day and love the encouragement this forum provides!

HCG is like any other weightloss plan, it takes a life long change to keep the weight off. That is what most have problems with. Not the losing, the losing most get down fairly quickly but the maintaining. Like other plans when you drop weight fairly quick it comes back fast if you don't keep it in checked. That's not exclusive to hcg, happens on Atkins etc too.

It may not be protocol but IMO it's always best to have another plan in place to go onto after you finish with hcg. Something you are comfortable living with long term. Trying to wing it after P3 won't work for most. Going extreme won't work for most either. There is no reason you cut everything out of your diet, if you do eventually you will cave and it will be very hard to get back on track. Learning how to eat the foods you like in proper portions/frequencies and still maintain your weight should be everyones focus. Otherwise you are just wasting your time and hurting your health because you are going to regain and get caught yo yoing. Safer to stay heavy than to be bouncing up and down dieting and regaining.

Can you tell me where you ordered your HCG from? I am back after a couple years. I have gained 50 some pounds . This is the most I have weighed in over 10 years. I have been very depressed this last year. I need to get it off. I had ordered from escrowrefills in the past and saw that the posts at the top of this page says not to order from out of the country. Any ideas? thanks, Ladibug
