Thread: 1 meal a day

    1 meal a day

Just wondering if there would be any harm in having 1 500 calorie meal per day instead of spreading it out to 2? I don't know how I am going to feel as this moves forward, but it seems like it might be easier. Any thoughts?

It would be off protocol, which suggests that you can arrange your meals however you like except that you can't eat both portions of protein, fruit, veggies or melba at the same meal.

If you do it, it will be an experiment that only has application to your own situation. It may work, and it may not.

Aside from the fact that I wouldn't do it because it is off protocol, I think it would be more difficult to do it that way. I usually get hungry round lunch and dinner time. And the small amount we eat more than fills me up at each time. I think it would be hard to eat 500 calories at once and difficult to skip either lunch or dinner.

I've done it a few times before when traveling and it worked fine for me. What I did was only had my liquids for breakfast, one apple some time later in the day, and either had my 7 oz. of protein for lunch or dinner along with the vegetables. The days I did that I lost as much as 1.6 lbs and it was always around the third or fourth week of the round.

Those were also my most stable rounds in P3 as well.

I'm never hungry on hcg so it was never an issue for me of only having one meal.

I have been eating twice, but I do push lunch to at least 2 Pm so I can have a later dinner. I thought I was going to be hungry only eating approximately 250 calories for a meal but I am finding it is fine and I don't feel hungry. I do like having a later dinner though because I know myself and I get the munchies late, so if I can eat a meal at 8 ish it keeps me from staying awake with food cravings.
