Don't get worried, you will have your big loss! I just know it is so hard not to get down when the scale doesn't move. Have you taken your measurements lately? Stalls are one reason why I have thought about not weighing for a whole week. The other is because when I do well I think I have more wiggle room. NOPE!

    Any progress today?

The headache is a killer, isn't it? I wish I could spend those two days in bed! I haven't had to work full time and go to school on this diet but I have had that schedule before - no fun - can't imagine it while on this diet. I have talapia in the freezer that I need to try; I am just hestitant because I don't really cook and I know it is going to turn out terrible! :/

I had planned this knowing that the move was this weekend but gained 8 lbs! I know that i was coming home to a gain but this was depressing! I have a big glass of water to start my day and some chicken baking in the oven before leaving for work. I'm hoping for a big loss tomorrow...

For those who feel that they are losing slowly, remember that the protocol is to reprogram the way that your brain controls your weight. It isn't a fad diet where there are quick results, even though the beginning feels like that. Once you've completed p2, you will maintain that weight for 6+ weeks before beginning again. So stick to the mindset that this isn't a quick fix, but a permanent fix! Hang in there.
I'm sorry about your FIL having to move out of his house, especially without his wife. It was stressful, for sure, I can relate to trying to actually DO something with kids running around (I have an 8.5, 7 this month, and 2.5 year old). You end up just watching the kids and trying to keep them occupied and out of everything. Very difficult! With your constant moving around I wonder if some of the weight was water retention?

the weight registered by the scale is determined by two processes not necessarily synchronized. Under the influence of hcg, fat is being extracted from the cells, in which it is stored in the fatty tissue. When these cells are empty and therefore serve no purpose, the body breaks down the cellular structure and absorbs it, but breaking up of useless cells, connective tissue, blood vessels, etc., may lag behind the process of fat-extraction. When this happens the body appears to replace some of the extracted fat with water which is retained for this purpose. As water is heavier than fat the scales may show no loss of weight, although sufficient fat has actually been consumed to make up for the deficit in the 500-calorie diet. When then such tissue is finally broken down, the water is liberated and there is a sudden flood of urine and a marked loss of weight. This simple interpretation of what is really an extremely complex mechanism is the one we give those patients who want to know why it is that on certain days they do not lose, though they have committed no dietary error.

    hang in there!
Thanks, Kar! This is always so hard to remember; I think we get spoiled knowing it is possible for the scale to go down every day and when it doesn't we get discouraged. I am not sure there is a way around that other than to remember what you posted here. Thanks!

AFM - I must have retained a TON of water that week of splurging before this round because I really expected not to wake up to a loss. TOM started and I was feeling bloated. But you know, I hear everyone say they have issues when TOM comes around, but I never have. I wonder if it has anything to do with the way my body deals with the extra hormones because I never have PMS either. Questions - do you normally have PMS and do you normally gain or stall at the onset of TOM?

So, I was down 1.4 and this close to saying goodbye to the 160s forever (how many times have I said that before, though?)! I'm ready to say goodbye to the 140s - chop chop 140s! Get here quickly and leave just as quickly!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Kar, I am sure I missed it, but how long of a round are you doing? May I also ask how tall you are? I am 5"5" with a small frame (based on the wrist test) and believe I can get to 125 but I haven't been there since I was 19 (but had a lot more muscle weight then) so it is so hard to imagine. What was your heaviest?

    Thanks!

    Hi everyone!

I'd like to join you all if you don't mind! I've done HCG successfully 2 times and lost a total of 35 lbs...that was 2 years ago. Since then I've "unsuccessfully" tried to do this diet 3 times to lose the last weight to get to my goal, but I was completely unable to get my head in the game, and never kept my losses. This weekend, I decided enough is enough and I'm back on the wagon and fully committed. I had a bottle of HHCG pellets in my "junk drawer", lol...so I broke them out on Saturday and started loading.

I've been a forum lurker for a very long time, and I have learned so, so much from the people who share their experiences and give so much invaluable support to one another during the P2, P3, and P4 process. I'm committing myself to get engaged this time - I feel that the accountability will help me stay true to what I know works!

So, about me...as I said above, this is R6 (although really I'm only considering this R3 from a "POP" perspective). I'm currently at 143 lbs (post-loading) and I'm 5'4" tall with an athletic build. My goal is 125 lbs but I'll be using inches more than lbs to dictate how long I stay on the diet. I'm in a size 4 now, so I'm thinking that my original goal may be too low - we shall see!

Round 1 - RX injections / starting weight 172. LIW was 159. (23 lbs in 30 days) I stabilized at 159.6, roughly, but it was a rocky road through P3. I believe that it had something to do with my use of Stevia in the Raw during P2. I found out about 2 weeks in that it has some NOP ingredients in it.

Round 2 - HHCG pellets / starting weight 161 (post load). LDW was 141. (20 lbs in 30 days). I stabilized at around 142 and it was a breeze!

Round 3 - Patches / Loved these, but traveled extensively for work and ate out A LOT. Tried to make the best choices possible and I was able to stabilize. THEN I got the bright idea to do the Insanity workout and follow THEIR eating plan. That was not a good idea....too many carbs that my body just did not like. I got in great shape (built a lot of muscle and got toned), but I gained weight. Actually went right back up to my R2 LDW of 141 (weird, huh). I tried to diet conventionally to get back to 131, but it just wouldn't happen. I realize that muscle gain is normal, but 10 lbs!!! REALLY?!?! I count this round as a "fail" even though I had stabilized in P3, just because I GAINED IT ALL BACK....AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!

Round 4 and 5 - Still at 141 - back to HHCG Pellets, but my head wasn't in it at all and I cheated throughout. Too much light beer leads to cheating...BAD BAD IDEA. Again, lost on both rounds but would gain back anything I had lost after the cheats. Stuck through both of these for 21 days (minimum timeframe for protocol), but couldn't maintain the losses and never got back to 131.

OK...so there is my HCG history. I have so much experience with this diet there is NO EXCUSE for not being successful in meeting my goal. I'm in a much better place as far as having my mind set on doing this the right way - so I'm looking forward to making this journey with you all and getting myself to the healithiest place I've been since high school!

Some things I did learn, even during my successful R1 and R2 are how to eat at restaurants (a must because I travel) without sabotaging myself, what foods make me lose best/gain/stall, and how to get past the mental hunger and identify the "real" hunger signals my body sends. I'll be using those tools this time around (unlike my past 3 attempts), and I'm happy to share anything I can with you all to help you be successful!

Whew....sorry for the novella! I'm reallly glad to meet you all!

    Hey Everyone!

So a couple of things have happened. One was that I was only down .6 pounds today, and since I'd been losing about 1.5-2 everyday it was a little disappointing but still progress. I think it just makes me nervous that I'm sliding down into a stall.

Second is that I forgot to take my drops this morning which REALLY ticked me off. I get up and leave for work at 5am so how conscious I am is highly debatable. My frustration just means I won't forget again though. I hope that it doesn't mess me up too bad. I'd love to hear if anyone else has done that and how it affected them.

Third I realized I've only been eating about 400 calories a day due to eating low cal proteins like white fish. Can I just double the amount of protein I eat if it's still within the ideal caloric count? Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated! Otherwise how did you pad your calories?

Thanks for any help in advance and good luck to you ladies this month!

Count me in! This is R3 for me, and I started VLCD on Saturday, April 6. My first 2 rounds were SO successful, including stabilization (I went right into Leptin reset for P3 and P4). Then right after I started my 3rd round, my dad had a massive stroke (very unexpected). I sat at the hospital for days on end without leaving.... eating hospital cafeteria food and the snackage that my friends brought me. My dad passed away on Thanksgiving day, and then I had foot surgery in December. Needless to say, I gained back a lot of the lost weight. It makes me sick that I allowed it to happen, but I'm committed to losing it AGAIN! HcG works wonders!! I get my shots from a clinic. And I'm doing something REALLY unorthodox.... I'm not weighing myself until I go back in 2 weeks. The batteries in my scale were dead, and I thought, "why not?" I'm totally on protocol, so I wouldn't change anything even if my weight does wonky things. I thought it might be fun seeing that big loss when I go back. We'll see.....

Just some Pounds versus Inches incentive! Even with my pathetic weigh-in this morning, I took my measurements and compared them to the ones from November when I did my R1P1. Here are the results!
    Arms: -0.5" each
    Bust: -2.5"
    Waist: -3"
    Hips: -3.5"
    Butt: -3.5"
    Thighs: -2" each
Calves: +0.5" each (I've started running)
    Weight: -20.4 lbs

That's a total of 16" lost! No wonder I've gone from an "I really should buy a size 18 but can still squeeze into a size 16 with a pair of Spanx" to a comfortable size 14! So remember to measure often, especially when the scale doesn't appear to be budging.

After 3 rounds and a 47 lb loss, I took a 24 month scheduled interruption. She's now a year old, and I'm ready to begin round 4 to lose the rest (36 lbs plus the 10 that found their way back postpartum). I'm almost halfway there!

    4/24/15 VLCD1: 213.2
    Week 1: -7.2 lbs
    Week 2: In progress!

    Hi All,

I'm on phase two, 15 days into VLCD, for my very first time on this diet. So far things are going well! I'm getting a bit bored with eating the same foods all the time, but I keep telling myself that I'm almost halfway through my 40 day round. I'm more worried about phase three and possibly gaining all the weight back. I hope that doesn't happen!

    Load March 23 and 24
    Pre-Load weight: 171.4
    Post-load weight: 173.8
    VLCD Day 15: 162
    Goal Weight: 140

Morning everyone. OK so yesterday was my 4th day stalled so I decided to do an apple day. Today saw .7lbs lost. Expected it to be more but trying to be optimistic. I don't know why I'm only losing at such a slow pace. Could it be that Im trying to loose a little? I don't know. I have another week of drops to go and I really hoped I had atleast lost about 9/10lbs by now. Right now I'm 119lbs and want to get to atleast 110lbs. Was hoping it would be possible on this round. Such a bummer

I got discouraged during my first round when the scale wasn't so friendly. Just remember - even when the scale doesn't move, the HCG is still working and you're losing inches. Do you notice your clothes feeling loser?

Hi ladies, just came to check in. Still pop, still here. I'm just in the middle of an 8 day stall (I already had a 5 day stall earlier in this round) complete with dosing issues and the whole 9 yards. It has been a very rough week... and I'm just crawling to the finish line. My last injection is on the 17th, and I'm praying I see some change between now and then. Not totally discouraged, but down in the dumps a tad.

Ok confession time after I only had a .2 loss followed by zero loss in week one, the next day I started taking the Garcinia Cambogia (my friend gave me one of her bottles to try out, guess I was her guinea pig). Next moringing I loss 2lbs, next day 1lb, and now today another 2lbs. So this is my 3day experience on it. And I have not given up my diet cokes. I drink four a day. They are the only thing I do that is off protocall. I plan on completely cutting them out, just can't seem to make myself do that yet. I don't know if three days are enough to say it is the Garcinia Cambogia helping out with the HCG, but I am going to keep taking it....
