    Morning! Welcome Thislady

    Danielle, the book I read is called "good calories, bad calories..." But he has written several, including one called "why we get fat". He is a great writer, and has all the scientific research references to back it up. It was an eye opener for me. I hope you have a big loss too!

    Ashu, CONGRATS on the loss of 1.2! Excellent! Reading your posts, I get the feeling we are very much alike when it comes to this diet. I'd love your recipe for the crab cakes. I'm second guessing the cauliflower soup now though...I finally hit a bump this round...

    Adolliee, welcome back. Let's be honest, protocol sucks...LOL, we all know it works but it is so very very hard. Hang in there, and stay focused. It's not too long to the finish line...

    AFM...
    I gained .3 today...hmmm...could be due to several factors. But I'm not going to agonize over which it was. Pop today (besides mixing veg) and hopefully see the scale move in the correct direction tomorrow. If not, apple day here I come...I have this feeling it's the cauliflower soup...which is so sad.

    Hello!

    I've loaded the last 2 days and today is the P2 VLCD 1. This is R2 for me. My first round was in Feb, a short round, and I lost 20 lb. I'm going longer this time and hope this will put me close to goal. I'm thinking of doing a little more protein and adding cauliflower and broccoli. I don't do the breads as I am gluten free.

    I lost a total of 60 pounds with the lapband but gained back 25 easily. It still works for me in that it stops me from eating at times. And I still have to eat super slow especially meat. I love HCG though...it's the best!
    The most important thing today is that I feel good.

    TOM showed up this morning. No loss. I've got a crazy day today. Hopefully everyone is doing well!

    Week 1 VLCD: -8 lbs
    Week 2 VLCD: -3 lbs
    Week 3 VLCD: -4 lbs
    Week 4 VLCD: -2 lbs
    Week 5 VLCD: -3 lbs (20lbs Mark)

    Good morning.. finally a nice 1.2 loss .. knew it would come but the mental game on this diet can be challenging

    Bajarose- .3 is nothing that will come right back off just your body getting ready for the next loss.. fat cells filling with water to drop again etc.. may even have another day of the same before it drops

    Ellyn - welcome!!

    Ashu - no loss after those two crazy days of losing is normal.. body is gearing up again for more losses

    I am 5'4" 44 yo. Was stable at 123 last round, lost focus, back at 144.
    R1 1/11 Started at 170lbs got to 140. Another round 9/12 got to 123. Goal is to get back in that area and hold under 130.

    Good Morning!

    I dropped my loading weight of 5.2 overnight. I looked back at my first round losses and this is the very same overnight loss I experienced first round. I'm not using the same brand of drops this time either. It will be interesting going forward as to if I will be able to lose as much in the second round.

    I had broccoli and green beans for my 2 veggies yesterday and 4 oz of protein instead of 3.5. Last round I had terrible weakness despite excellent supplements and ended up just doing a short round. I don't know what caused the weakness but I felt just terribly! I don't know, maybe the little extra protein will help? I'm just experimenting at this point to see what works and doesn't for my body. I was POP to the tee first round.

    Everyone remember, the body does what it does when it's ready and not a moment sooner LOL. I know it's hard and can be discouraging not seeing that scale move or even go up but hang in there and you will see your reward if you stay POP

    down 1.2!!! yay after 2 days of a stall as was expecting did a nice drop..

    Hi all! I'm back for my second round first was in feb. and I did a 40 day round and lost 32 lbs. I had a very slow gain back starting in mid June of 12 lbs so now I've got to re-lose those lbs Anyway I's my second loading day today and so far haven't had that yucky bloated feeling...kinda makes me nervous! I'm planning another long round as I've got about 50 lbs to go still.

    I do the same thing with the tea, so if I drink it one evening I expect it to work the next morning. If it doesn't work, I have another cup the next day. Good luck.

    Those sound like pretty enjoyable meals Daielle. Steak days haven't worked for me either, and I even forgot about them in between rounds. I think this time I will have to try them in P3, even if they don't help in P3.

    I always have erratic bleeding on hcg. It is so weird, but usually not very heavy.

    My sister in law has a lapband, and she seems to be gaining all her weight back. My brother is upset that he has spent 6K for the lapband and skin removal surgery, and still his wife is heavy. He thinks he can control it, lol.

    Welcome back hk! I have regained a boat load of weight, but today is a new day and am hoping I will nor regain this time!

    AFM: I think this is VLCD 21 for me, but to be honest I have lost track for the last few days. My brother came for a visit, so I had a lot of prep to do and really haven't weighed myself in a couple days, which is very unusual for me. I have been going off protocol by having a Quest protein bar each day, but other than that mostly on program. A little extra meat or a lttile extra carb, but not much fruit. Tomorrow will be telling.

    Ok... So I have to confess now that I fell off the wagon!! I fell hard for a couple days and I paid in significant slow down of progress. I am back on & am also paying with a withdrawal headache!! Uhhh. I gained a couple pounds but I have lost that plus a pound....

    SHAME on me. I'm back!!!!!
