Yes there could be starches as fillers Debbie. I am sorry if tuna made you stall. I always do well on it. If you only have a little left to lose you could be stalling because of that. Look at grammys post on stalls. It helps alot.. vickie

Vickie I called Nature Made back and they said NO starches either. Also no worries on the tuna....really I do not see where that could of played a major part. I weighted it, all the ingredients on label was ok so really do not feel that is the problem. But I will not try it again in this phase just in case.
I just talked to the pharmacy that compounds my HCG and she recommended me to do a apple day today before I get any more discouraged. Only thing is I have had 2 cups of coffee this morning will that be ok and go ahead and do it today. She said it would be but then again she was in a big hurry being the only pharmacist on duty at the time. Should I ask Grammy about the coffee and apple day??

Sam YES been stalling for 4 days now But I Gotta hang in there.

Debbie, you are going to be okay. I like apples but because of dental issues I am not comfortable eating them raw. I make applesauce with cinnamon and vanilla Stevia. Yum!
Welcome Sam. Great to have you on board. I have lost 2.4 pounds so far. I ate more cabbage last night then was allowed in the protocol and was worried for this morning’s weigh in. But gladly I showed a loss. I sautéed up some 96/4 ground sirloin in a little beef broth with Mrs. Dash and red pepper I then steamed added the cabbage and it was so good. Think I might do that again tonight. I could eat cabbage every night. I have a slight nagging background hunger but it isn’t anything I can’t ignore. If I drink some water it goes away.
Debbie, how do you get the smiley faces in your posts?

I really enjoy my apples, although I recently just got braces (Monday). Luckily it's only for 6 months!! It's making it extremely hard to eat the apple, do you guys have any good soup recipes?

Margo I really don't want to do the apple day SO unsure what to do. YOUR dinner sounds much more satisfying then 6 apples. I just bout fresh lean ground beef yesterday and a lean sirloin roast to cut up. Also have cabbage OH YUM I'm hungry!!!
OH smiley's LOL look right about your replies.

SAM search soup recipes people have been posting some pretty yummy looking recipes for soup here lately. Here is one of the that sounds great.

    Chicken Tortilla Soup
    serves 4
    2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    1/2 tsp minced garlic
    1/4 tsp ground cumin
    29 oz chicken broth
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp chili powder
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    1 c. chunky salsa

In a large pot over medium heat cook the chicken in a little chicken both, add the garlic and cumin and mix well. Then add the rest of the chicken broth, onion, chili powder, lemon juice, and salsa. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 20 - 30 minutes. Serve!

Hope this will help get you started Sam.

Sorry I haven't checked in lately. Let's see...well, this morning I was at a .4 loss. The last 3 days prior I have been at a stall. Reading the threads on stalling, especially Grammy's advice, really helped to encourage me, but it's hard sometimes not to feel discouraged, especially when you are not cheating at all. The threads here state that it is common to stall and to hang in there. If you persevere, as long as you are following protocol, you WILL get results. The stall is most likely due to your body holding onto water weight as your body rids of fat, which weighs less than water. Then, when your body is ready, it will release the water, and you will lose. So drinking that water is a must! =) A good point also is to take your measurements. A couple of people here have mentioned that, as well as other threads. So, if you are stalling and feeling discouraged, do a search here on stalling, and you should feel encouraged! In fact I'm going to read them again myself! One thing I've been dealing with the last couple of days is the hunger/lack of energy. Before I was feeling really well, and I almost felt guilty for not being very hungry! LOL So I am going to tweak my pellets again, and see if that makes a difference. I'm still taking the B-12 sublingual lozenges.

Hi Vickie, what pellet dosage are you taking now?

Ughhh...stall, TOM, and had a strange day yesterday that lead to a bad cheat! I felt really bad all day...weak, dizzy and faint. I couldn't figure out what was making me feel that way, either, and so I ended up eating "real food" thinking that it might be that. I admit I felt better but still strange the whole day. This AM I was 1.4 up but totally understandable. I feel better today and am back on track...it's really tough to do this when people don't know that you're doing it. Anyone else having that issue?

Liz, I've been feeling weak/total lack of energy the last couple of days. Hunger is worse too. Me no like!!! Before that, I had lots of energy and hunger was not an issue. I don't know what would make the difference. I'm trying to hang in there, stay with protocol, but it's hard. You mentioned this being tough when people around you don't know you are doing it ~ yes, I'm there. I did tell my daughter. She's so supportive! But because I don't have a lot to lose, and I'm kinda tall, and can hide the extra fat well, people like my MIL would gasp if I told them I was on a diet (especially this strict), and think I had a problem. I just want to be quiet about this right now, lose the 15 lbs that I haven't been able to lose since I gave birth to my last child. Anyways, I hope you (and everyone on this thread!) feels better, and can persevere, and lose the weight they desire.
