Close to goal weight, what it's like?

Ok I am in the last 8 lbs of weight loss. I can tell I have had to up my protein portions sizes to avoid hunger. I'm being very careful to go by hunger and not over eat. But need the extra protien as I don't do any fruit or grains. Anyways the last lbs does one just up protein as you get closer to goal to avoid hunger? My dose is 125 iu. I mixed 14 days ago. It's the type I'm guessing I may have to remix to finish the round. I'm not sure if I'll do a 30 or 40 day round. I guess I'll see where I am weight wise at 30 days.

My clothes fit very different and needing some new shirts! Yay! 10lbs gone in 2 weeks. I'm happy with it. Slow and steady wins! 128 this morning. I'm not sure if my body will feel done at.

I'd love to hear what it's like for people to know when their body is "done" and at a healthy weight.

You shouldnt need to add protein if your dose is right. You should have little to no hunger and you should be satisfied with the prescribed portions. Some people even find it hard to eat the whole meal. If you are not satisfied after a meal, then dose is likely off somewhat.

Not eating the fruits is off protocol. But are you at least replacing them with vegetables like tomatoes? I'm not sure you can be properly advised since you eliminating food groups in the menu. The protocol allows for omitting some of your foods if you are not hungry enough to eat them occasionally. Beyond that, the delicate balance of the plan can be affected. So you are kind of on your own in deciding how much extra protein you really need.

As for knowing when you are "done", its mainly intuition, or you just get to the point where you don't have the will to continue. Im not sure there is any way to tell that you have the exact number of your ideal weight. You just have to judge by how you feel and what you see in your clothes, and aim for a healthy weight "range".

Those are good thoughts. Today I felt better when I upped my cooked vegetales and made a chicken broth vegetable soup with my protien in it. So I'm going to lower the protein and up the veggies. Maybe being sick the past few days just made me feel extra off. I've decided to go to 30 days and see how I feel and where I'm at and decide for sure then.

I am slightly off protocol however I'm severely sensitive to fruits in general and carbs so have to mostly live without those even off the diet and mostly doing what HCG chica did with her fifth round and she has successfully maintained for many years. So hopefully I can too

I think you are right that the sickness could have affected how you were responding to your foods. You will probably have a better handle on things once you are feeling well and more normal again.

The veggies are the best place to make up for calories of foods you leave out, good decision.

What is weird is I upped my cooked vegetables (green beans plain cooked in plain sugar free chicken broth I've eaten the entire round) and was up 4 lbs this morning! I didn't get exposed to any mold. I did eat a bit of a banana pepper ring and salted my soup. But 4 lbs? SO weird. I mean in the past I would go up 2-3 lbs then loose it again within 2 days but this is weird!

There is still sickness going around at our house and I felt unwell yesterday and my oldest came down with something. Had a headache this morning.

Can 4lbs be inflammation? I'm not cheating and not eating fat.

Sicknesses are all about inflammation, and the probably cause of your gain. Don't try to troubleshoot foods until you are through it. Its likely all about the illness.

Something to consider later: Peppers are specifically mentioned as a detrimental food in the protocol. And vinegars can carry mold.

Oh that is encouraging. Yeah another 2 of my kids came down with something. I won't do any banana peppers. If I'm remembering last time I had some I had a gain! Ugh.

Thank you Leez, appreciate that. Most of the family is sick. Just a few who are almost over it.
