Welcome back Jean!!! Don't I know what you are talkin! Start everyday as that first day. Thank you for the kudos, it's been a long road, and I have a bit more to go, but I am very excited to be where I am! I haven't seen this weight since my early 20's (25 years ago!).

Good luck and keep your eyes on the prize!

Oh, and happy losses, they are coming quick!

I just can't seem to get a grip on my weight. I gained .8 lbs, and I just don't know why. Looking back to yesterday, maybe it was eating dinner later than usual (6 pm), but I did stay up later. Maybe it was the chicken thigh? The spinach cooked in bacon? The salad with evoo and balsalmic? The J. Lee Roy's BBQ?

Maybe because I didn't eat breakfast? I seriously don't have a clue at what's going on.

I have to cut so much out, it's not going to be long before I am eating a piece of lettuce and just drinking water (and with my luck, I will still gain!).

So, right now I am going to narrow it down to: the J. Lee Roy's, bacon, and eating dinner after 5 pm. So, since I have had my protein/fat breakfast (roast beef and avocado), I should be good until 2 or 3-ish, then I will have some lunch/dinner, and call it good for the day.

Any gains will be met with one more steak day (if I don't lose, I will have to find something else, since the last steak day didn't work well), then, I will just muddle thru, and possibly do a 3rd round in November (I seriously don't want to, but I have to get control of this!).

Come one come all, lets continue to share our journeys!!

You are right rusty...I need to get focused. I'm upping my dose to 125 and just doing the best I can with the food I have available since Im pretty much broke until next weeks. I probably should have waited but I want to be well into p3 come thanksgiving...it is also my baby baby's 2nd birthday so cake and ice cream will be on the menu...lol

Anyway I'm down to 169.2 (lost 2.5#) from yesterday. I slept in today and that always gives me amazing losses...

Glad to see you all back!!

Yesterday was not a very good day… I waivered a little. Okay, a lot!! At dinner I had several Hush Puppies… I AM in the South, you know! And we were at a rib place and I had several ribs, and I’m sure the sauce had sugar in it. Oh well, it is what it is. Today was much better. I don’t believe I had much of any carbs. Had a bun-less hamburger w/a salad for lunch; had chicken w/stuffed portabella mushroom, veggies & salad for dinner. And I happily drank my decaf coffee while everyone else had dessert. It will be interesting to see what the scale says when we get to our Florida home on Saturday. (Actually, I won’t weigh until Sunday morning.)

Kitri: Virgin territory… Love it!! That is so exciting! Whaaaaa-hoooo!

Rusty: I don’t know what I would do without eggs!! You are doing so well at reading your body! You will figure out what is causing the gains. I’m just sure that if you keep this mental game going, you will well – and NEVER see 300 pounds again. Great job!

Jeanius: Welcome back! You can do this – you just have to be dedicated to it, and I mean REALLY dedicated! This is hard work, but you can do it! Stay with us and get pumped up. Enjoy your loading, but use the time to get your head in the game. God bless.

    Tomorrow we head to Savannah…

    Hi everyone,

Well, I'm back in a 26 day P2 round. Now on day 15. As tedious as P2 can be, it certainly is a lot more "secure" than P3. I am hovering 4-5 pounds above 200 and WANT TO GET UNDER SO BADLY!!! I don't think I've been under 200 in over 15 or 20 years!!
Rusty I can completely relate to what you're going through. I ate very cleanly on P3, was trying some mini version of Leptin Reset, and ended up having to come off eggs as well. That's a tough one!! Great idea to make a roast. I was pretty lost without the eggs and was never convinced it made a difference. I remember reading something someone said (Grammy?) that when you have a gain you should look back to 2 days previously. That's what I've always heard as well. I wish you great luck in figuring this one out. You have amazing conviction. Stay strong!!

Cpow, I can't imagine so much traveling and being on this thing. I guess every once in a while a girl's gotta have a hush puppy . . . . .

    Take care all!

    Round 1 (40 day) 24lbs.
    Round 2 (40 day) 23lbs
    Round 3 (24 day) 13lbs (gained it all back . . sigh)
    Round 4 (40 day) 23.8lbs

Cpow, ahh the South! Food and friends! You are doing great. A treat or two shouldn't throw you off the weight loss train, just make it more bearable!

Hi Helena (get it???? LOL) Welcome back to P2. Yep, you and I are sitting in the same boat (give me back my life preserver! LOL). Just sitting on the cusp of "one"derland is just so frustrating.

I saw a 1.2 lb drop this morning. I am going to stick to what I have been doing. Breakfast in the am (roast beef and 1/2 an avocado) and lunch was a BAS with roast beast, avocado, tomatoes and cucumber. I just put mustard on top to be my "dressing". No dinner, but that was A-OK, 'cause I wasn't hungry.

It seems that I need to get my food in before 3 pm right now. I think once the LRx is complete, and I am out of P3, things may change up. I am hoping that this loss will continue, but I am not actively dieting, just trying to stabilize. I still have 20-ish lbs to go until I am at my goal weight (185), even if it's not "normal" weight, I think that I would be happy there. Not "fat" not "skinny", just healthy.

    Have a great day all!

    Hi there!
Rusty, I can't believe how much you've lost! And congrats on really staying close to LDW. I'm interested in how long you are going to be on LR. 6 weeks? Longer? How are you feeling doing it? I'm hoping on easing into that after stabilizing on P3 for a while (gotta go at it slowly 'cause of gall bladder issues.) People talk so much about how wonderful they feel eating the LR plan. What's it like for you??

I am grateful that apple season is here so my daily apple is crisp and fresh. Today I squirted lime juice on my honey crisp apple and it was awesome!

    Day 17. Onward!

Helena: Thanks, I really had to lose the weight, I was killing myself with a fork.

Yes, I will be doing the LRx for 6 weeks, but in all reality, everyone should eat breakfast! It actually works for me, because I went Paleo too (the hCG diet is very Paleo), between hCG rounds. Paleo and the LRx eating plan are exactly the same. No grains, legumes, processed food, little or no sugars.

While on P3, I avoid fruit anyway. While on Paleo, I don't tend to have fruit more than once or twice a week.

Right now, because I am below my LDW, I feel really good. I find that right now, I am very satified with my BAB and BAS. Which really keep me full. By the time I eat again, I am really hungry, boredom eating isn't an option.

Yesterday, I had a gnarly craving for chocolate, but I journaled about it, acknowledging it, then just blew it off. No magic, not super will power, but instead it was a choice. My brain said, "chocolate would be good now...", then my "self" said, "yeah, chocolate is good, but why? I am not hungry, I don't need it, nah, no chocolate now."

Sometimes you just got to attack cravings with common sense. I am keeping my eye's on the prize!

A town close to me (Paradise, CA) is having their annual "Johnny Appleseed Days", and it's all things apple. We also have Noble Orchard there, so we can buy apples in bulk. I will be heading up next month and hopefully, get me and the kids in for a U-Pick. Then I will be spending the next few days after canning applesauce, and apple's in general.

Honey Crisps are my favorite too! I have some in the fridge right now, the bummer is that I can't eat any apples until I stabilize well (they make me gain!). But, the kids will enjoy them just as much.

Helena, you are doing so great. You are half way to your goal! That is so awesome! Keep up the good work, and keep your eyes on the prize!

We are being lazy this morning in our hotel room... I'm enjoying the quiet and my coffee. I will get with it soon. Today we have about 300 miles to cover, and then we'll be home. I'm looking forward to settling in and being off the road. I want to enjoy my own cooking for a while!

I'm a little scared to perch on the scale tomorrow morning... I've tried to be good, but have bobbled some. The people we are traveling with are perpetual skinnies - they eat anything they please, and never gain an ounce. And it seems that everyone else's favorite restaurant is Cracker Barrel... not exactly low-carb friendly!! I have to work hard at not whining and feeling sorry for myself. We are what we are! I have the genes God gave me, and that's the end of that! (I thank my mother, my grandmother and my great-grandmother for these "easy keeper" genes!! In the horse world, an easy keeper is an animal that can keep weight on with very little feed.) For some reason the Lord felt I needed to wage this battle of the bulge for all of my life. I suppose there could be worse battles to have to fight... but I'm sure tired of this one! None the less, I WILL press on!

I am going to give myself a week more of P4 to settle in and get comfortable before I begin loading for my next round. Hopefully that round will be successful and move me far enough into One-derland that I will never have to see that awful number again on my scale!!

Hihelena: I know how you feel… it seems like forever before we can break into One-derland. But it will happen.
Rusty: You continue to be our inspiration!! You just keep chugging!! I’m actually looking forward to my next round… I want to see some nice dramatic drops, like you!
    Kitri: Way to go! Onward!!

Have a wonderful, God-blessed day, Ladies! I'm off to begin packing for the LAST TIME!!

    Good morning everyone!

Cpow, life is grand with home on the horizon. I totally understand about going to places that are SAD only, but I have learned to just be bold and let the server know what I need. I have no problem turning any restaurant meal into a salad, or just ordering a la carte (restaurants like that, more $$$$). Last time my hubby and I went out, I just ordered a steak (naked) and a diced tomato. It was a win-win, the restaurant got to charge me full price and I got the meal I wanted (in P2!).

The great things about friends is that if it's working for you (ie: you are not in a weight loss competition, the bonus of skinny friends), they might think it's weird, but they will be supportive! Although, sometimes they don't understand the longing look you give them while they are eating cheesecake! LOL

AFM: I woke up to a 2.2 lb loss, and although I am not supposed to be losing weight, I can't say I am disappointed. I am still trying to find my nitch, and level out (I am only 1/2 a pound from "one"derland). The plus side of Paleo is that it allows your body to land where it will. I am eating plenty, in fact, I had two In and Out Burger doubles, protein style (no bun) and no cheese. MMMMMMMM delicious! In and Out Burger makes it so easy to be Paleo or even P3!
