Been stalking this site since my first time doing hcg back in 2010. Had great success with hhcg drops lost 34 lbs. Since then been doing a round about every yr 1/2 since having my baby in 2013. All with great success. Had a few bumps in the road and gained back some wt here and there. Today I'm on day 4 vlcd. Going great. Down 6.2 lbs. Lost 2 lbs while loading and I ate everything under the sun. Go figure? Happy to be gaining back control over my eating habits and my life.
Welcome! Lucky, Lucky you! To be able to load and not gain so that all the weight you lose is net, is awesome!! You're like a unicorn. Lucky girl!

Welcome Anna and Christie! It's nice to have you both here!

I agree that I find myself getting discouraged sometimes when I'm not losing at the same pace as others. I know why it happens so have to remind myself it's what my body is doing that matters. Not always easy.

I have a bit of a headache too Christie. More of a nagging one than anything pounding. I did my first round too for about the first week.

The water increase helped. I was down 2.6 lbs this morning for a total of 4.6 lbs. I only gained 1 lb during loading so am happy to see 3.6 "old lbs" gone in such a short time. Tons of water again today. I'm getting into my groove with it. I'm not a water drinker normally so it's been an adjustment but today I've found myself so thirsty that it's going down (and out!) quickly.

Does anyone else get worried trying the different recipes out there? Tonight I'm making chicken meatballs with marinara sauce. Everything is to protocol (with the exception of mixing veggies in one meal - both onion and tomato) but gosh it always makes me wonder what morning will bring. I feel like we are on this for such a short time that I hate the idea of screwing with even one day.

We definitely all lose and gain at a different rate. Congrats on your net weight! I'm only down 2.2 net, makes me wish I wouldn't have loaded so well. But oh well. I do get worried with trying new recipes. In other rounds I would try new stuff but this round I'm just gonna stick to what I know and not get too hung up on variety. I wouldn't worry about mixing the tomatoes and onions. I made a big pot of the "chili" and eat that for lunch everyday and then have broiled chicken for dinner each night. I like mustard so I've been dipping my chicken in that. I'm doing hug through a local clinic and they have a modified plan that is basically the same as the original with the exception that you are allowed broccoli and cauliflower, not together, one or the other.

I have done the original protocol to see if my losses would be better than my clinics modified which allows for those two veggies and honestly my losses were about the same, actually just a bit better on my Drs.

I have found that I am VERY sensitive to sodium on P2 and found out the hard way that I can not have low sodium broths or braggs, or anything more than a quick shake of salt.

I'm drinking a gallon of water each day and also two pots of green tea. I think I over exercised yesterday though and was a bit sore today and only 1.2 pounds down. Taking it easy today. It's hard for me to keep my mind occupied in P2. I just want to read and blog and share everything HCG. I'm counting down the days 1 minute at a time lol.

LolaCat we are so similar! I get distracted and keep coming to this site too! I know you are right about the foods while on this; I have things that I can actually feel myself bloating up after eating. I also know I shouldn't worry so much about variety and instead just suck it up for 40 days (that's it!) but after having started and stopped multiple times after my first round, I just want to have those days I crank out flavor from a meal I enjoyed cooking. Last night's meatballs and marinara were fabulous. Lots left over to spread through this coming week. I'd love your recipe for chili. I've found a few but would love a tried and true version.

Given how much I enjoyed the meatballs, I was happy to wake up to a 1.4 lb loss. I definitely upped my water even more yesterday and am getting a good start with it this morning. Here's hoping I can get through kid drop off, dropping my car off for new tires and the 2 block walk from the tire place to the office without having to stop for a bathroom break

I hope everyone else is doing well and settling in as this first week progresses. I'm so grateful for this plan, this site and each of you!

HI everyone. Can I join in? I'm looking for a support group to keep me accountable. I have done hcg several times but not in the late 2-3 years. Not since I got married and became a mommy. Well I'm back using drops this time. I always used shots. But I'm finding drops to be just as good and maybe even better for me than shots.
I started Friday may 20th loading day 1. I have been on P2 for about 6 days. I didn't check my load weight, I weighed prior to starting and I am down 11 pounds since starting on Friday last week. This is not counting load weight.
I have a lot to lose. Over 100 pounds. So I'm looking forward to it. The great thing about hcg is that no matter how many years it's been since you did it....it still works. No hunger it's awesome. Happy losing everyone.

    Hi there fromheretothemoon,
I also have done hcg a few times to maintain my weight at least 6-7 times before this. I had twins a year ago almost and I'm back to my good old friend hcg. Lol. I have much more to lose tho about 100 plus pounds. But I'm looking to getting a hold of my eating habits for good. It's been 3 years since I did hcg and I didn't realize how much I missed eating clean. Eating light, feeling light and my mood is even better. I loaded well. Not sure how much I gained. But I am 11 pounds down from my start weight. Also no hunger. Glad to see other people also doing the phase 2

I'll give you mine if you give me yours!

    100g lean ground beef
    1 cup chopped tomatoes
    1/2 cup water
    2 tbsp minced onion
    2 cloves minced garlic
    garlic powder
    onion powder
    chili powder
    oregano
    Cayenne pepper to taste
    Salt and pepper to taste

    1. Brown ground beef in a small frying pan, add onions and garlic.
    2. Stir in tomatoes and water. Add spices and simmer slowing until liquid is reduced.
    3. Serve with chopped green onions or tomato garnish and salt and pepper to taste.

The trick to this recipe is to add extra water and let it simmer for an hour or two - the longer you simmer the more tender and flavorful everything becomes.

I'm a slow loser and only down a pound today. Yesterday I didn't do yoga or go for a walk as my body was a bit sore from the day before and felt I should prob take a break. I'm going to yoga today and tomorrow doing a 4 mile hike and hope that I don't overdue it, but I already committed and can't get out of it. The hike is pretty vertical for the first mile but after that it's fairly level-ish. I was thinking about maybe having an extra protein before I go - - like a hard boiled egg. I'm going to back my lunch and trying to think of something that doesn't need to be reheated and that doesn't look to meager and cause concern to my friends. Was thinking about maybe a cabbage/apple/chicken slaw but I'm not a fan of the one with cinnamon, nutmeg, ACV and stevia, so need to research a different "dressing"

The weekends are typically harder for me, especially with my husbands bad eating habits. Not very excited about a three day weekend even though I am happy to be off work. The good news? 35 days to go!! whoo hoo!

Hope everyone is well and drops in to say hello soon

Welcome Twinmama! Your losses are awesome and I am happy to share in the journey. I have also done several rounds - - I think this is my sixth since 2012. I got to goal once, but every since I keep gaining and losing the same 17-20 pounds. Last year I got sick and was on steroids for 4 months and I think that contributed to the gain. At any rate I will make it close to goal this round (within 3 pounds) but I'm thinking of doing a short round end of July/Aug to take off the last bit and give my self some cushion (or lack there of) lol.

Good luck to you and congratulations on your twins!

I keep trying not to rely in hcg to fix me after I go off the chain with my diet and lack of an exercise program. But as I approach my 40th b day I feel more motivated to get it right. Changed my dose yesterday because I noticed I was thinking about good all day. Not hungry per se but definitely noticing the lack of food. I know this is not a hard diet once you get your dosing right. My dose was 150 iu since that's what my script instructed I dropped it to 125 iu since that's what i used to take on my last round... voila! Didn't even notice my stomache being empty and almost forgot to eat dinner last night. So this morning down 1.6 lbs. Brings my total to 7.6 lbs since starting injections. 7 lbs in 7 days. Can't beat that. I know that's why I keep coming back to hcg. It works.

    Newbie also

    Hello,

I'm a newbie also! I'm on the 2nd day of Phase 2 and i have to say i'm impressed. I already lost 3.5 pounds! I'm not even hungry or craving my favorite foods i guess because i ate so much of it during loading that i'm good with pasta, ice cream and fried foods for a very long time. By the end of day two of loading i was forcing myself to eat it.I'm actually on medically supervised injections so i don't have to worry about mixing it right plus because it's my first time i wanted a doctor to oversee it. So far so good. i feel great no hunger or headaches. Love finding this website to chat with others going thru the same process

Happy Saturday everybody and welcome Pam. I am also on Dr. supervised injections so don't have to worry about dosage. I was very disappointed this morning to only have a .2 loss. I contribute this to not getting to bed until after midnight and then weighing at 7 a.m. because I have not cheated and I've been drinking all my water and eating the same thing most every day. It was very discouraging. Today I had to go on a pretty strenuous 4 mile hike with my work, knowing this I ate an egg and 1 egg white at 9 this morning fearful that if I didn't, I might faint or something because the hike is 800 feet up vertically for two miles. I packed a lunch thinking we would take a lunch break at some point but never did. Was unable to eat until 3 p.m, which means I'll hold off until 7 to eat dinner, which means I won't be able to go to bed until 11 to give the suggested 4 hours before bedtime digestion. I fear the scale tomorrow. I know to just keep my head down and keep on keeping on but .2 at the end of the first week is very disappointing. I am typically a small loser, only lose about 17-18 pounds per round but geesh.

I am 42 and this is my sixth round in 4 years. I eat pretty low carb / low sugar and exercise somewhat regularly but the weight always seems to find me again. My best friend is rail thin and eats very junky. Life just isn't fair and while I learned that many many years ago, it still pisses me off - - lol

Knowing that I had this hike to do today, I searched for a recipe to make that didn't require being reheated and could stay cool in a cooler. I settled on this one and was quite pleased with it.

    Curried Chicken Salad
Recipe type: Entree salad Cuisine: Indian
Prep time: 15 mins Total time: 15 mins
    Serves: 1

    Ingredients
    100 grams diced chicken
    1 apple diced
    Celery diced (optional)
    ¼ cup water
    2 tablespoons lemon juice
    1 tablespoon finely minced onion
1 clove of garlic crushed and minced
¼ teaspoon curry powder or to taste
    Dash of garlic powder
    Dash of onion powder
    Dash of cayenne pepper
    Dash of cinnamon
    Dash of turmeric
    Stevia to taste
    Instructions
In small saucepan lightly sauté chicken in lemon juice until lightly brown, add ¼ cup water and spices.
Stir well and simmer over low heat until liquid reduces to form a sauce and chicken is cooked well.
Add water as needed to create the consistency you want.
Chill, add chopped apple and celery or omit the celery and serve over a green salad.

Hope everyone is doing well and feeling inspired. Have a great weekend!
