Thread: Day 1 of Phase 2 Today - Any others starting now?

    I just started again as well. Last time I was on protocol was back in 2011. I had a bad experience after HCG because I lost all my hair. I swore I would never do this again, but I have been researching ways to be proactive, and reasons why I might have experienced such hair loss before and I found some useful information- so I think I was sending my body in and out of ketosis because of cheats and going rogue. I read some journal entries from back in 2011 and I am surprised at what I was allowing myself to eat off protocol. I also wasn't taking any biotin or vitamins last time, duh- so trying again but gonna do this the right way now.

    I was mortified when I got on the scale after loading day 1- never been this heavy non-pregnant in my life. Felt disgusting in my own skin. Felt even worse knowing how much I weighed and having to eat so much on loading days- when I also wasn't even hungry! Didn't even enjoy loading days. Felt gross. So, today is first official day of phase 2, and I think I've done a good job all day. Very excited to see the great results I saw 4 years ago.

    Welcome Jenga! I do HCG through a clinic and they recommend chelated vitamins to prevent hair loss. I did two back to back rounds in 2012 and didn't lose any hair. Hopefully, with implementing the strategies and knowledge you've learned you will not have any negative affects this round. Good luck!!

    Are you guys far along in your round?

    Hi everyone. I'm planing to start a round soon, Loading in 3 days, P2 in 5, I'm just looking around for some groups that I could possibly settle into.

    Does this thread still have P2ers that are going to be hanging out here for a while?

    Great to read all the posts. Hunger or no hunger, extra protein, increased exercise, hair loss, protocol variations....all these scenarios . I'm not an everyday weigher either, but weighed myself yesterday morning and what the heck, I weighed the same as I did the last time I weighed .....4 days ago .....so it was an apple day for me. I really struggle to eat more than two apples a day if that's all I am eating, so far I am at 1.5 apples for the day....will probably eat the other half apple for dinner....no hunger which is a bonus. I also do a protein shake meal substitute and not sure whether I should replace the shake with a proper protein meal.......I might try it for a week and see how it goes.

    Thank you so much! I will take any advice I can get~ I have no idea what chelated vitamins are- but I looked up on Amazon and the results look like some kind of mineral....?

    Day 2 of phase 2. Wow. It's really hard to get back to this. I really don't like the first week. Body is adjusting. Mind is adjusting. Still in the "ugg" level of weight. The tunnel looks so long from here. *breathe* one day at a time....think about how good you feel, how clean, how good you can sleep now. *breathe*

    Yep the first week is very hard and it goes so slowly...heck the whole phase 2 goes slowly. Hope this round goes well for you.

    Welcome Layla and yes I'm only on day 10 of a 25-40 day round. Can't decide until I see where I'm at on day 25 but I'm sure there are others.

    Yesterday I ate almost the same things from the day before where I lost 1.2lbs except the burger, but alas only a .2 loss. I know that when it's a low on the scale it's usually showing up as inches somewhere on my body. I did measure my belly today and I am down a 1/2 inch from last week so that's good. This is about the time I stop weighing myself because seeing no real movement on the scale is frustrating but I don't know if I'll be able to help myself. Tomorrow I am going to do my best not to jump on the scale until 6/15. Wish me luck.

    Remember everyone that even a .2 loss in a day is more than a normal diet would show, so keep on hcging!

    Good morning everyone,

    It's a long 40 days and as simple as it is, its also very hard. The mind games that are played with you and the scale are crazy. I typically eat the same thing every day and my losses are so slow. Always have been. One day I will lose a pound and a half, the next I will stay the same, maybe I'll gain, maybe I'll lose .2 and in my mind I'm dissecting every bite I took, every activity I did... was it the xylitol sugar free gum? Was it too much exercise? was it not enough exercise? am I eating too much? am I eating to little? Is it because I rubbed coconut oil on my husbands sore back? did I not get enough sleep? did I drink to much water? did I not drink enough water? The list goes on and on and it's totally nerve wracking. In the end I will lose 15-20 pounds - that's the fact and I'm good with that, of course I greedily want more but 15 pounds in 5 weeks is super awesome and I just need to relax and know that by one day at a time, .2 pounds at a time, I'll get through it. 40 days is doable and I'm already xx amount of days to goal.

    Mind games.
