    welcome Smokey!

Well done Robin. This is my first VLCD and I'm doing ok too. How many rounds have you done? This is about my 6th although two of them don't really count as I cheated all the way through. Have come to the conclusion the only way to keep the weight off is to do portion control - a little bit of everything. Which makes me think even if I didn't do hCG, I would lose the weight. However I do think hCG can help to reset our metabolisms but I just need to get over stuffing my face until I've had way too much.

Hi Smokey, is this the first time you have done hCG or just the first time doing injections? I always do injections but almost passed out the first time. Can do it with my eyes shut now.

Lynne!!!!! Can't wait to see how much you lose this time. I'm staying on protocol as much as I can being a vegan this time. Good luck.

You are so funny Krista! I am terrible at portion control, so I get you on that. I re-weighed and had to adjust my start weight, which is my old LDW + 15. I so wish I was 171 lbs! Back when I was 171 , around 1991, I had a WAY better clothing options, could work out better, ice skate without REALLY hurting my feet, tie my shoes easier, run to get our of the way of a car, etc. Not minimizing your distress, just saying there are GREAT reasons for you to motivate yourself to go higher. I want to see us both lose! Stay strong! We are here for you!

This is my 3rd. First was a success, 2nd a cheating disaster, only lost about 10 lbs. Goal to lose this time is 23 lbs. After I lost the first time, I did the leptin reset with Jack Kruse which worked great. Then started following Mark Sisson, was also great and more socially friendly. I just stopped really being vigilant which led to less control and here I am again, 4 years later with the same original amount to lose. The great thing is, that I'm really excited, think my sweet spot as far as dosing is the same and I don't have to figure that out again this time.

Any great recipes? I tend to use as many fresh herbs as I can get my hands on because they make everything taste good. Can't remember specific recipes, but they must be here here in some forum or another. Stay strong!!!!

Krista - What do you eat as a vegan?

  6. #30
Hi Lynne. I'm finding this easy so far although this is only my first VLCD. It's after that I start to flag (get greedy basically). How have you found it today so far?

Hi Robin, the first time I did hCG I thought it was like magic (which it is really) and I lost around 22lbs. Then I got lazy on my other rounds and there was even a round I did where I was eating normally. Gave that up after a week or two. This time Im serious.

As for what I eat.....all I need to replace on P2 is the meat and I use the lowest carb, lowest fat, highest protein sub I can find which is vegan chicken. The only thing Im doing off protocol is adding soy sauce to my cabbage and vegan chicken. That is all Im going to have for the round, plus my baked apple.

Then in general when Im just being greedy I eat pasta with vegan cheese sauce, apple pie with soya cream, vegan ice cream, vegan spag bol, cakes, biscuits etc etc.

Oh dear. Not so virtuous after all. A small bar of chocolate just fell into my mouth. Oops!!

You totally crack me up! Today is good. I had (how boring for anyone reading this!) 1/4 cup of milk in my coffee, romaine lettuce with a can of tuna (nop) and a couple tablespoons of Bragg's Hawaiian dressing (20 cals I think). I made a big pot of steel cut oats (nop) and had a spoonful (not measured) before lunch, and one just now. I figure that is a sub for the breadsticks which are wheat. Water, supplements, that is all. No real hunger. Just had my 3rd dose of hhcg. I have some chicken breasts baking right now and will probably have to head for the store soon.

I still have some work and I want to exercise, but I don't think there are enough hours in the day.

And I forgot to say, Krista: Stop standing under the chocolate bars! The fat is going to stall you. Can you think of a satisfying carb or protein? Maybe a low carb/low fat protein bar (nop)? I was using Quest bars (nop), but they are not vegan. I will stop now. Don't want to nag. You know I love you!

Did you see there is a stand-up. sit-down desk on the market? It is made by Varidesk.com

Thank you all for the warm welcome! This is my first time on HCG for weight loss - many years ago I was on it to try to get pregnant - long story but the story that started my weight gain lol I had 13 years of infertility with constant treatments, surgeries, etc. I finally 22 years ago gave birth to an IVF (test tube) healthy baby boy. My treatments included 5 years of steroids, numerous injections of various experimental drugs. It set the weight gain in motion. Later, I was in bad car crash which caused knee injuries which kept me from being as active as I once was, which of course, contributed to even more weight gain. So now I am here at 255 lbs ready to take control of it for once and for all. I normally eat VLC but for some reason couldn't ever lose the weight. I always thought my body was rebelling against the VLC diet by storing extra fat. No one believed that I ate so little until I had a house guest recently... she was shocked at how little I eat. Of course, once I decided to try HCG, I have been eating... glad I ordered it right away or I would have even more to lose! 3 lb gain from yesterdays P1 day... will find out in the morning how much this second day of a hogfest affected the scale. I read where those who gorge the most do the best on the diet... I shouldn't have read that, I am miserable lol

So, yes, this is my first adventure with HCG, and I am serious about finally wanting to release the weight. Looking forward to watching that scale fall instead of rise...

Welcome Smokey! So sorry about all of your hard knocks. I understand how little one can eat and still gain.

Hopefully you can be successful. I am finding that this time of year is a GREAT time to start the diet. Just last night I had some friends deliver goodies. Even though the caramels (my favorite) looked enticing, it feels so good to know that I could have grazed lightly on treats throughout the season, and gained more. But instead, I'm actually losing!!

So I'm a bit confused. I never saw a thread for Dec. 2014 loaders. But I saw this one. Now I noticed a separate one dated 11/28. Strange how I didn't see it before. Should I just join both? I did start loading before Dec. 6th.

It looks like we are at about the same point. You are right that you should not have read that, or at least not listened to it, because it does not seem to be true. There is no need to make yourself sick during loading. It is a nice change to just be able to enjoy food and not watch what you eat. Loading seems to prepare your body to not be hungry for the first three to 5 vlcds. If you gain during loading, it is mostly water, and then in the first week of vlcd you lose the water. The weight loss can come very fast!

The system administrator starts a thread every month like Dec 2014 Loaders. Usually those folks start loading on the first, but we didn't start til the 6th, so if I joined them they would finish their rounds way before me. That is why I started this additional thread. You can post in any of the threads you fancy, as many as you like, and you are welcome to stay here too.

AFM: P2D2: I dropped 5 lbs! I had gone up 5 during loading, so I guess it was just water.
