    What to drink on Phase 2, not a water,tea or coffee drinker

    I know it sounds like in just being picky but I cannot stand the taste of plain water. I know everyone says water has no taste but to me it does. I'm going to be starting my diet in a few days and I've tried and tried to force myself to drink water. The little bit I manage to drink I know isn't going to be enough to,keep,me hydrated and also I know that if I'm thirsty it could cause me to feel like I'm hungry. I was never made to drink water when I was younger so,I've,never drank it. Does anyone have any suggestions on any type of flavored water that would be the least problem while on the diet? I know it's never on any hcg diet,protocol so I'm aware that.it could effect the amount of weight I loose but it's better.than nothing. Any product suggestions would be great, thanks everyone!

    Tlynn-- there are several options that you could try.
    First would be the natural way-- would you be willing to add a few slices of cucumber to the water ? Or lemon? or Orange? or Strawberry? or Grapefruit? All of these are plan approved.. If you decide to use these, just make sure you count it toward you veggie/fruit allotment..

    Keep in mind that the original protocol cleans your palate and things that you wouldn't ordinarily consume now taste good to you.
    With that being said-- I use to HATE water too. I've come to enjoy it -- at times..

    Ok-- here are some suggestions about flavorings:
    many people will use flavored stevia drops or crystals.. I believe one brand would be capella ( not sure if I spelt that correctly)- you can google it. There are dozens of flavors to choose from.
    Others use crystal light.. which has calories.. so be careful with this.. as with all the others brands similar to this one.
    The zero calorie flavorings can also become caloric if you consume a certain amount.

    How about making a jug of hot tea and adding an orange that has been sliced up-- with your favorite no cal sweetener-- let it cool... and you can have sweet tea..
    Same with making lemonade-- you are allowed the juice of a lemon each day I believe ( please double check on the original protocol)-- why not make lemonade?

    I also make my own sort of chicken broth.. I just boil the lean chicken breast ( I usually do about 4 servings) and add spices to the water... it makes a nice simple soup and you can drink the soup throughout the day.

    Also, seltzer.. carbonated water? I find carbonated water is better tasting than flat water. I prefer pellogrino..

    I hope this helps and you get some ideas of how to increase your fluids.. it really is so important to drink enough.. it helps the weight loss..
    I'm not a diet soda kinda gal-- for the health issues.. so I wouldn't be able to recommend.. I'll leave that to the others.

    Thank you very much for the suggestions. I hadn't thought about making lemonade, I'll definitely give it a try!

    What type of liquid do you normally drink? Artificial sweeteners are allowed so you can have sodas that are sweetened with them if that's something you drink.

    Have you tried Smart water? I find it tastes waaaaaay better than others.

    Yup you are correct...what I do is buy a big bottle of lemon juice to only use it for lemonade...You take 3 tablespoons of lemon juice(the equivalent of the juice of one lemon) and add whatever sweetener you typically use (i use truvia) and 1 and half cups water...you have to be careful adding anymore water than that or else it will be completely diluted...


    TOTAL LOSS TO DATE: 136lbs and counting
