Thread: Anyone else starting today?

    Anyone else starting today?

    Hi all,

    What a great forum.

Just wondering if anyone else has just started phase 2? I would love some buddies for the journey.

I tried to load as much as I could, but had to force myself into it because I just wasn't hungry. I hope I ate enough or not too much.

Today was day 1 of phase 2, and it went well. I'm really enjoying the diet so far. I prepared a few meals in advance. The only thing is that I have such a bad migraine and started my TOM today. I'm going to keep taking my drops, even though many say you're not meant to.

I had some tough moments, like when I was cooking for my kids I wanted to try it, but I stayed strong.

I haven't weighed myself, because it would be too depressing knowing how much weight I've put on, so I don't have a starting weight to go by. I'm an Australian size 14, but I want to be a size 10... Is that possible in 21 days or am I being too ambitious?

Also, is it bad to skip a fruit or a veg? I was in a hurry at lunchtime so I ate around 70 grams of shrimp but didn't have time for veg.

I'm also struggling to go without my moisturiser and foundation. Is this seriously going to make a difference? Has anyone used them and seen a weight gain or stalled because of it?

    Look forward to chatting,

    Nikki

    Hi Nikki,

When I ordered my injections, they told me that the amount of fats taken in through the skin is so minimal that it shouldn't be a concern at all. I am not quitting my normal products. Today is day 1 of P2 for me... here we go!

Hi! I started yesterday (the 27th), too. This is my first round, so I'm a little overwhelmed. I loaded fairly well on Saturday, but on Sunday something didn't agree with me, so I got sick. I still started Phase 2, though I'm somewhat regretting it now. I didn't gain anything on Phase 1. I've been hungry, or at least feeling like I need to eat something. I'm trying to spread out the 500 calories, but it's been a little hard.

I've heard that it's okay to skip a veggie or fruit, especially on days when you're not hungry. However, from what I've read, you should never forego the protein component.

I've researched the beauty products portion of this diet, and from what I've read, Cetaphil, Neutrogena, Alba, Aveeno, and Jason's are pretty popular. I'm using Cetaphil, but I can't tell you whether I've had a reaction yet since I just started. I did lose two pounds according to my weigh- in this morning.

I would encourage you to weigh yourself just so you can witness your milestones. People might not be able to see my two pound loss, but I know that I lost it. It has helped me adhere to the diet today!

    Good luck!

    Hey all,

I don't think that you should skip your veggies. Whether on this program or not, veggies are an important part to being healthy. Just my thought. I too often skip my fruit only because apples make me itch and strawberries doesn't last too long in the frig. Even when the scale doesn't move..you still may be losing. I was at a stall and stuck at 215 and then 4 days later I weight in at 210. So eventually your body will catch up with the changes. Hang in there-it's rewarding.

    Hi all,

Yay!!!! I have buddies!! I thought this didn't post or I got no replies, I'm really bad at forums.

Thank you all so much for your feedback. My skins really dry, so I think I'll keep using my foundation and moisturiser.

How are you all feeling on day 3?

My headache has gone today, and I feel amazing! The only thing is I feel fatter, and haven't weighed myself, so don't know what's going on.

I can't wait to see a change in my look. How are your scales looking? I'm so desperate to lose weight that I'm thinking of skipping lunch tomorrow, or is that a bad idea?

I got some stressful news today, and REALLY felt like a glass of wine, but I'm so happy I stayed strong. Now I'm just sipping done peppermint tea before bed, and feel so happy that I made it through another day.

I hope you're all going well, let me know!

Hey all..Mummy keep positive. Don't skip any part of the process. There will be days that you will feel fat (bloated) but it will all pass. Continue to drink plenty of water. Some may have a different outlook but I don't weigh myself everyday because when the numbers don't move then it sometime make me want to give up. Different things work differently for others. I still wear oil free moisturizer and foundation and have not had any problems..again my thoughts. Either way..hang in there. Today will be a Great day.

Mersha- thank you so much for your encouragement and feedback, I'm glad to hear that not everyone weighs every day. I'll just stick to pop, and look forward to the day I look and feel better. I'm struggling to drink all of that water though.

Good luck Diva, it gets easier as the days go on I find. I'm now starting Day 4 here in Melbourne, AU. I'm dreading the weekend though. My 19mth old kept trying to feed me one of her fish fingers last night, and I know it sounds silly now that I would even think of breaking over that, but I was so tempted to just eat it (slightly to stop her from dropping crumbs everywhere) but so happy I resisted. Hahaha you learn so much about yourself on this diet.

I hope everyone's staying pop and feeling good, keep me updated!

Made it through rd2VLCD 1 with leftover food and no major hunger. No major cravings today. Stayed pop. Looking forward to a drop in the morning.

Now that I have a minute I will share a bit.
I did a round in Dec through the Dr and had them teach me to inject myself lost 17lbs from Dec 5 -25 that was great! That round was totally on protocol. Then I did another round a few months ago not on protocol and tried all the things other people said the did ok with. My round 2 was a flop! So here I am still moving forward this is round 2 redue. I'm grateful for the hcg as I'm 48 and have tried every diet under the sun and the scale just went up 190 was my highest round 1 ended 166 lbs I gained 6lbs started round 2 at 172lbs my failed round was no loss no gain. This redue round 2 I'm staying on protocol and looking foward to another 2lbs gone. Great releases to you all! Have a great night!

Hi Diva- well done on getting a good start!

It was really interesting to read your experience, a good lesson to keep us all on protocol. Keep at it, at least you know you will be rewarded if you stick to it.

I feel like I have so far to go, and can't wait to get there. I feel so huge

    Hi Mummyof2
It will pay off. I lost some of the weight in in round 1 ended in Feb I gained a bit back but not all and the weight I did gain back really took work my body did reset itself and wanted to stay put but the French Vanilla coffee creamer and high carbs won. I worked hard tiring to find a new way to have my coffee and enjoy it cause it's just something I have to give up! After trying a million different stevia I have found one that is working fine and still have weightloss it's not on protocol cause of the erythritol in it but it I can use a bit a still drop I think I will be fine. Coconut oil didn't work for me miracle noodles didn't work either. I was ok with a small amount of mct oil. My conclusion is staying to prodocal is best . Hope this helps someone with their journey
