I am sorry you are not feeling well. That is frustrating. Do you have true hunger at all? How have your losses been? Are you sure your drops are real?
I need a little help, since my support group has run out of suggestions. I'm on Phase 2 of the diet and approaching my third week on VLCD. This is technically my fourth round after a 1.5 year break. While I have lost some this round, the losses aren't like what I had in the past. I've also have not been feeling the best on this round either.
I have been having a lot of nausea. I know I didn't load properly and expected the first week to be tough, but I got through it. Now on the second week, I thought I would feel much better, but I don't. The nausea seems to hit around meal times, which I take to mean I'm hungry. The problem is, the thought of eating something isn't appealing, except if it's fruit or cucumbers.
I've tried different proteins (tilapia, ground sirlion, chicken breast) but none of those proteins really taste good to me. It takes a lot for me to actually eat the meals. I'm not sure if this is because I didn't load properly or if something else is wrong. I have the 101 recipe cook book and I used to love those recipes but nothing is really jumping out at me.
I am not pregnant as my support group thought was a possibility. I'm just not sure what to do. I have never felt this awful on Phase 2 in all of the rounds I've done over the past 3 years. My husband has even suggested I stop everything and try again at a later date but I just don't want to do that. Maybe I should?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Hi - Yes, my drops are real. They are the same manufacturer of drops that I've been using all along. I've been drinking plenty of water (64oz +), it's just odd that I've never felt like this before.
I took my drops this morning at 7am central. By 10am, I was feeling nauseated, had a headache and was a bit light headed, and wasn't planning to eat until 11:30-12-noon. I ate my breadstick but didn't feel much relief. The headache started to lessen. At lunch, I was able to get down some chicken breast and a cucumber salad made with stevia and vinegar, salt and pepper.
I emailed the manufacturer of the drops and just got an email back. They suggested not taking the drops so early in the morning, but take it before I eat lunch, then after I eat lunch, and then after I eat dinner. They also suggested I break away some of the fruit and breadstick to space things out a bit more, so I'll try those suggestions too.
As for if it's real hunger? I'm assuming so. I think the reason I haven't lost as much as I have on other rounds is because I'm not eating all of the items for each meal. Sometimes I don't eat all of the protein or veggies or fruit. And I typically do not have the breadstick or the milk because I tend to stall.
I'm an oddball in my support group. I don't follow the 'norms' for this diet. *heh*
Sounds like your blood sugar may be low. If my blood sugar gets low I feel very nauseated. As soon as I get the protein down (sounds awful when you feel that way, I know), my blood sugar will then stabilize and it goes away. Mine is worse after just a cup of coffee by itself and not eating. Research hypoglycemia, see if it sounds familiar. I've had it all my life and can't eat sugar at all.

Drops get changed all the time so it could be ones that aren't working for you. It may also be dose related. Try skipping 2 doses and see how you feel.

I tend toward nausea, too. That's a good suggestion - not taking drops early in the morning. I usually drink coffee in the morning (with my milk), but find I need to eat by 9:00 or I feel weak and/or a bit lightheaded. I usually eat 1/2 portion of protein/fruit in the morning, the other part of my protein in the afternoon, and a normal dinner. I teach preschool, so can't eat anything on my diet between 10 and 2, which makes it really hard. (The food served at our site is yummy, but definitely off protocol, and I can't eat my "own" lunch) I've had a lot of hunger issues, too. I followed Grammy's advice last round and determined that my dose was too high. When I came down to a smaller number of drops, I definitely felt better.
