haha so true, yes, the rain did slow me down a bit But I did manage to do a LOT.... will see if I can do about 30 minutes every evening after my walk.. considering I want to do an average of 10,000 steps a day this week.... so this will help to add extra steps...

Re my constant number juggling.... I think now that my daily average includes load weight I am good.... I do want to keep my eye on LIW because I am hoping to lose between 10-12kgs on this round..... but with my slow start, I will take what I get... not saying I wont push....haha, I may not beat myself up, but I still have my eye on the prize!!

    ARGHHHHHHH!!!!

In fact I read Leez's comment on the monthly forum in the early hours of this morning and it made me think of the invisible hurdle I have at 80 kgs as well as at 72..... and Yesterday I was so chuffed to have finally gotten the 1 lbs down to 80,,,,.. but I was not UNDER 80 yet.... so the scale just grabbed onto the 80s for hopefully the last time

    Day 13...Up 400gm/.88lbs

Think i did not do enough water, ate on protocol, so nothing to beat myself up about..... did do 10,101 steps.....and well on my way again today.... may actually put the dog on a lead and venture around the block with mask on.... just for a change of scenery... all our city parks are still on lock down...sigh

Not happy with this round, But if I do everything right, eventually the scale will have to drop....right?

Good morning, friend. So sorry for the frustration, though I can commiserate. I'm struggling over here, too.

I think we just need to remind ourselves that this is not a linear process, and that the best thing we can do is stay committed to the process and invite in a little dispassion. Maybe start to focus on what else we're gaining (pun intended) in this challenging endeavor. Mental fortitude and resilience, for example.

We just have to ride the waves, and, yes: trust we'll ultimately land exactly where we want--if not in the timing and way we'd envisioned. . . . .

Hang in there, Yvonne, and enjoy that change of scenery! XO

    Day 14 = down 400gm/.88 (again!)
    Putting total loss week 1 = 3.1/6.82
    loss week 2 so far 500g/ 1.1 lbs = Total 3.6/7.92
    Net Loss 1.1kg/2.42 lbs

seems the scale decided to play games..... sigh
Tomorrow marks the end of week 2, so lets hope there is SOME movement!

Hectic at work, last night I was hoping to do some steps on the Wii just to be rudely interrupted by a Power failure, so I walked up and down the driveway with a flashlight to manage my lasts steps to get to 10,000.... and then this morning it was drizzling.. so no walkies.... I die manage to do a 20 minute on the spot run but only sitting at 4,562.... about 1000 less than yesterday lunch time, so I guess this afternoon will have to be a longer walk.... just hoping the rain holds back for a bit, otherwise it is indoor running for me....

I actually measured a bit early and combined out charts.... Is it not amazing how we forget where we started out..... ?.... sometimes we just have to acknowledge our achievements.....

    Thanks Girl....
Knowing that i have the inflammation issue in this round i had to do more to help the hcg along
So thus my commitment to 10,000 steps a day...
Focussing on steps takes my mind off the pain an inflammation ... I realise this may not be a great round for me... but I have to keep my focus and i can only do that by focusing on burning calories and Hopefully long term it will talk to the scale...

I know the battle with the scale is do real for everyone on the forum... the younger me would have dropped out and blaming myself for failure... now ... regardless of circumstances... i will stick to my goal... even if means a lesser loss in this round... Always remember... Gratitude is the best Attitude... be grateful for every gram ... every ounce

    Sweet dreams bunnies

End of week 2..... my worst ever round EVER!

    Day 15 = down 200gm/.44
    loss week 1 = 3.1/6.82
    loss week 2 = 700g/ 1.5lbs = Total 3.8/8.4
    Net Loss 1.3kg/2.9 lbs

this gives me an average loss of .6lbs including Load and P4 weight... This idea of looking at net weight is not good for morale.... But the .6 average is still liveable, considering from here on out it is all net losses...

At some point this morning I thought I had to test my HCG.... but then thought I am grasping.... I did up my dose ever so slightly to 135... lets see what happens.... worth a shot! I have never had to go above 125, but then this is not my bog-standard average round now, is it?

Have already cut the 50gr yogurt at breakfast and just gulped down the awful prebiotics neat!!

Managed my steps 3rd day in a row.. so if anything, at least I will tone down, right?

I have been keeping pain medication at a minimum, but thought I would look and see if i do an anti inflammatory as prescribed 3 times today, if that may just help a bit maybe?....or am I grasping at straws? maybe, but not trying will not achieve anything, so I either achieve nothing, or by trying little things, I may achieve SOMETHING... and something is better than nothing.... right?

But all things considered, I can definitely see a huge difference over my abdominal area.... I am almost seeing a dip in the waist for the first time in YEARS!..... I know exercise is not compulsory on HCG, but I really feel good, and I know that when the scare finally starts dropping, it will drop very well.... all these calories being burnt, must burn SOMETHING!!... so healthy mind...healthy body and vice versa... I think the exercise helps me to not focus on my slow losses and keep a positive frame of mind....

If this round is teaching me ANYTHING.... it is that inflammation is not conducive to weight loss.... but heck... even the slightest bit is still a loss....

I am finally in the 70s.... yes I know its early days and the scale can jump back up... but for me it puts my goal on the horizon, If I lose steadily over the remainder of the round, my goal of breaking 70 can still be achieved... but i will be Ok will 72kgs/158lbs... still in two minds if I should do a 3rd round, but it all depends on numbers for this round.... this number is a definite, anything more is a bonus.... only time will tell

Anyways, another busy day, Have fun bunnies.... stay strong and drink up!

Good for you Yvonne! You broke into 70s that is great. And you are definitely right about inflammation. I think considering all your body is struggling with average losses of .6 something is great. I remember 10 years ago, my average weight loss was .75 Now Id be ecstatic with that, but doubt it will average that this time. Right now I seem to really be slowing up. Meds you have to take may contribute to a little slower loss? I don't know-- when I did hcg before I dropped everything, every supplement wasn't on any pain meds then--but this time I cannot give up my Meloxicam for the knee. And if it causes me to lose less, I have to be able to move. Years ago, I gave up all facial moisturizers and creams, this time, I am not doing that--don't use as much, but don't want shriveled skin either. Water is key, my only issue is when I drink all that water it really interrupts my sleep at night. So which is the lesser of 2 evils? No sleep, or not enough water? I picked no sleep--slept horribly last night. And I didn't lose, went up .2 this a.m. But what is .2 a sip of water? It all comes out in the long run, and we'll get there if we don't give up. Have a great day. We had some beautiful snow, if I knew how to attach pictures I would show a pic. Anyway, it is beautiful! And COLD!

This. Is. Everything. And I hope you can focus more on this than the scale, because it's A HUGE VICTORY!!!!

And honestly, I think the less efforting you can do right now to force the scale to do what you want it to do, the better. You'll drive yourself crazy otherwise, and for what? I do think eventually you'll see a drop regardless of what acrobatics and shenanigans you do right now to temporarily reduce water retention. But I also know how incredibly frustrating it is and impossible it can feel to not even try to do anything. So, I wish you as much peace and luck as possible in navigating these waters. Mindset counts for more than anything right now, so please do what you can to not let the frustration run away with you. You are, indeed, changing your habits for the better and taking magnificent care of yourself. It will pay off in spades in more ways than you can count . . . eventually!

MissM... i am ok... this is just my normal analytical self...i dont ever just take things at face value... i like to stand back and look at life from different angles... sometime I try different things just to realise it was a wasted effort ... some times its better to try than to wonder... should I have?...

Like today , acknowledging that I must give myself credit for ALL weight list ... and only then to look at net losses

The way I see it is that every ounce lit in this round is a bonus !!! The 10,000 steps is a challenge some days with weather and other time constrains....8,000 is easy-ish to achieve and the best extra 2,000 is the ‘gift’ I give my body... by dieting I deprive my body... by being active , i dont see it as hardship... because my body and mind feel so good achieving the goal... yeah a bit of a silly thought I know...but I give my body HCG and expect it to do its thing... all i have to fo is to feed it ... which is the easy part.... but by putting myself our there and go out if my comfort zone puts me in a even partnership to achieve the goal... doing things to make it easy for body and spirit to do its thing....

I dont know if this makes any sense... like my body is the two year old ... but we know two year olds... id we want them to do the things we want them to do....we sometimes have to ho above-and-beyond to make them to feel good enough to do the things we want them to do.... right?

Dubbles....i love snow! But I think I love it as much as I love two year olds.... in small doses and when I had enough, to give them back to mummy dearest... haha.... South Africa has the most devine weather... and the province I live in we often have T shirt days in the height of winter... do you know how to send and retrieve private messages? If so I can help you with how to upload images

I also get you regarding stuff we dud in previous rounds we can no longer do... having an ultra dry skin, bordering on eczema have have never been able to cut my skip n treatment... but I did eliminate excess oils... i think now a few years later... and HCG is less forgiving...

I have done all my HCG after menopause and always done well... so this round us about learning my lessons and take what I can get.... so hang in there girl...we CAN do this!

I had this great idea to do the anti inflammatory 3 times but my day ran away with me... so will only fo it twice today and see if it hrlos with inflammation
