LOL.... I have to see a pic of this.....(apologies) it actually sounds yuck ;(...
I guess i tend to prefer segregated items... anything above that seems not to be protocol fir me.... which worries me for tomorrow because of the extras ito sodium in the broth
After week one i sometimes treat myself to an omelette 1 egg with 1or 2 extra egg whites (cannot do more than that) and it makes an amazing weekend brunch.... normally tomato or asparagus and 100% Ish pure

    Morning all!
I suppose at some point in time it had to happen, but i understand it..... no movement at all today... as you know i always take the avg out of 3 and 1 weigh in gave me a loss of 200gm and the other two no movement at all, so I rather take the higher than taking today harder than it is.... a few things I have observed are

    * I did miss my morning snack and wondering if my body now craves the routine of 6 small meals

    * I did have coffee yesterday... i am keeping my eye in that thinking than my normal lactose intolerance could bring about inflammation

    * 1 did not have my 2-3 cups of green tea yesterday

    * I did not have my 2nd fruit yesterday which I was hoping to be grapefruit... will check that again today

    * I think even though the broth was low sodium, for me it was too salty and the meal was completely different to all my other basic no frills meals

    * I did however have one extra bread stick ... thats a bit if a non working say problem,, because i am so focussed on food, i get peckish when i dont have my desk routine

So i am still to test the coffee, grapefruit, tea and broth scenarios separately.... So let me get to my desk and will fill you in a bit later

    For my own record
Meal plan for yesterday - Zero loss
Breakfast - regular coffee with 45ml milk 1 sweetnet
    Snack - nothing
Lunch - Beef meatballs with 10g onion Tomato and lettuce 1 breadstick
Afternoon snack - Strawberries and 1 breadstick
Dinner - Beef, cabbage, braggs, AVogel Herbemare stock 1 ts.....
The broth was a bit salty and I only ate about 2/3 of it
After dinner - 3rd breadstick - naughty naughty!
    only 2 Litres of water

Yes, cabbage does seem to cause more problems than some of the other veggies. And strawberries are the most likely fruit culprit.

Beef and tomato combo is another one that seems to cause gains for a number of people.

But one shouldn't get so cautious that they avoid things that "might" be a problem with a menu so limited to begin with.

    Thanks Leez...
both Strawberries as well as thee beef and tomato combo has always worked well for me,

I am not particularly fond of cabbage and from memory hardly ever used in on hcg, however I do suspect the broth though....or the combination thereof

But as you say we have to not limit ourselves and just have to be mindful and as soon as the losses falls back into downward mode I will be sure to isolate each and try again before eliminating altogether

we are all different and it is so important not to work our meal plans around other peoples sensitivities and rather focus on a understanding our own body’s likes and dislikes

My favourite things about this diet is finding out what we can and can’t eat. My last rounds I figured so much out it was amazing. And made sense. I didn’t gain the weight back till I started eating the foods that caused inflammation.

Morning girl... missed you yesterday... almost ready to get started?

Funny you should mention inflamation... it has been something one my mind and i may be stoned for saying this.... As Qualified nurse, i find the concept of inflammation in this case alien and often maybe overused as an excuse....

I have been meaning to ask and maybe the fundis can steer me in the right direction

I live with a permanent “inflamation” in that i suffer from chronic allergic sinusitis... about 2 years ago i dropped all medication and went cold turkey for about 6 months but then as winter set in i had to do something and found a homeopathic anti histamine and sinus medication.... this is helping a lot but allergies flair up from time to time ... With COVID at one point in time i was very sick with flu combined with sinus followed up by being exposed to a friend who tested positive... Since I was sick and do many COVID symptoms can be masked by flu, cold or allergy symptoms.... i started taking my temperature twice daily and my “normal temperature” Is at the high normal range.... so my normal is living with chronic inflammation I guess

That is why i would never really refer to by body not liking certain foods as inflammation... it is just a
Way if my body saying ‘yuck take that stuff away’ haha

Would be interested on what the old hands think about that?

So here we are... Saturday morning...as much as i love weekends, i do muss the set routine of a working day.... but that being said , the scale was fair thus morning.... I was hoping for a minimum if .6 for the rest of this week... hoping to end this week with a 4kg lbs (8.8 lbs)....my loss this morning was .5kg (1.1lbs)

So my loss to date is 2.8kgs (6.12lbs) at the start of day 6.... this is keeping my daily loss just above a pound a day.... which i am pushing fir as ling as possible.... it can be done in that mist of my weight was gained in the past 8 months

My temperature is normally on the low end. Has been most of my life.

Some foods create heat in my body and exit any way they can. Those I know I’m sensitive too.

Allergy foods are an automatic throat closing. Hate that!! My sons doctor gave him an epi pen when he started to eat food around 3.5/4 months because of all my allergens. Fortunately he doesn’t react like I do! But they asked that we give him our allergy foods by 6 months in hopes that early exposure would help. So far he eats everything. He’s 2 adjusted now and literally can eat anything. But prefers meat.

Some foods for me I don’t feel a difference until I look at the scale and can see a huge jump. Sometimes I’m ok if I haven’t eaten certain food for a while but if I keep eating them then within half a day my arthritis will flare up pretty bad. I have to stay away from red meat, asparagus, spinach, excess mushrooms, gluten (celiac anyhoo), root beer and the five forms of cow dairy.

Everybody is different. I know with my sister she gets bad eczema from certain foods. And others she gets swollen and gains weight.

I’m waiting for my bac water to come in the mail. I planned on starting my LD next weekend. People are hoarding food and stuff again as COVID cases have really increased in our area. So I’m trying to make sure I have everything I need. I have frozen chicken. And 30lbs apples from the tree. But need p2 veggies.
