And of course there is a fly in the ointment, my wine merchant ( yes I have a wine merchant delivering to my door) dropped of a bottle of Rose he wants me to try.... I have been bugging him to find me a nice dry Rose and he found a new supplier, so I need to let him know what I think...... so I guess I may be naughty tonight.... but just realised I have had no breadsticks or fruit today...... Yes I know having a "Wine merchant" sounds weird or very posh... but it is a guy I found when alcohol was banned during stages 3,4 and 5 of lockdown..... so I managed to help friends out b getting wine from him.... Lol... we started a little "Bootlegger" group on whatsapp.....

The ban was only lifted on Monday night and we are now only able to purchase wine from Monday to Thursday, and no alcohol to be sold in restaurants or pubs.... alcohol only to be sold for off site consumption

I would expect nothing less than for you to have a "wine merchant", dear Yvonne! I think that's fabulous. And how interesting about the alcohol bans. Talk about rioting in the streets if such a thing were to happen here. . . . I love that you started a bootlegger group on WhatsApp!

Lol.... luckily this is this guys regular business supplying the restaurants and liquor outlets... now as a Result of the ban he has regular man in the street wine lovers buying from him.... i did taste the rose but not happy with it....does not compare with my go-to option.... decided I will het some next week and compare them side by side

We had a cigarette ban as well!!!! It is ridiculous what this government comes up with... alcohol
i can understand .... people drink... disobey all regulations and fill ip emergency rooms ... hospital beds and icus....and because of the handful that cannot control themselves... the entire population has to be treated like children.... so what do we do? ... behave like naughty children and start bootlegging!

Your shutdown and rules and regulations are a little extreme, but that is just me. Do you think we will ever be back to normal? Fightens me that we won't, now that govmts have had opportunity to dictate our every move almost.

I agree that alcohol and cigarette bans are extreme, and while I understand Dubbles' concern that the parental strategies of the government guiding public behavior can feel like a potential gateway to controlling our civil liberties, I'm honestly not that concerned about it. I think a public health crisis calls for guidance, and that once we're through the worst of it and the vaccine gets into the bulk of the population, things will, eventually, get back to normal. Though it may take a generation or two for us to behave in the ways we once did. I know I have no interest in being part of a big crowd anytime soon, that's for sure. Now that we've seen what a global pandemic looks like and how devastating and very real it is, we won't soon forget it--or the fact that it's possible if not likely to happen again, perhaps even within our lifetimes.

It's an interesting debate, to be sure, and one that obviously divides our population. But that's my two cents. Take it for what it's worth!

Afternoon ladies... I did not weigh today... my day started in a rust....

I do have serious issues about governments abusing their power in this pandemic.... but as we know.... we are only as strong as our weakest link.... and one weak link sees another weak link not adhering to regulations and protocols and it becomes a vicious circle... i am so tired of asking people to move their masks over their noses.... shops spraying a trolley but not wiping it... Silly things.... but I shop online or as early as I can on a weekend... we have new neighbours in the complex and they are breaking all the rules and we are all up in arms.... we have young kids and feail
Pensioners all at risk... Nd they just do not care

And measurements are where it really counts, IMHO. Congratulations, Yvonne--that's fantastic progress!!

I seem to be in the same boat in terms of how this round is trending for me, though this is also how it happened last round for me: big losses first week then major slow down/stalling/gains (likely TOM related), then good losses (so far) in second half. For you it might be inflammation management. Who knows? It's just nice to be in a good place at the moment, no?

Enjoy all your to-dos, and happy Sunday!

Morning all... Just a quick check in

    VLCD 28 - up 400gm/.88
    78.7/173.14
    Total loss this round 4.9/10.78
    Net loss 2.4/5.28lbs

I was very tempted to throw in the towel this morning, Clearly not a good choice to go ahead and do a round when I knew I have bad inflammation and that it is my most stressful time of year
The sudden increase in activity AFTER starting the round could play into it as well.... but somewhere along the line the calories in vs calories out must impact in some way or another?...right? even if it is toning or building muscle?

Yesterday I forgot to do my shot after my usual skip day on Sunday....hmmm?
wondering what would happen if I am to do a fast today ? like a steak day......

I shall breathe and carry on regardless.....

Look on the bright side.... I am still under LIW from last round.... so at least I am STABLE.....for what it is worth

IMHO we really must throw out the calories in/calories out way of thinking with HCG while also staying at around 500 calories a day. And I'm so sorry this round is adding stress and frustration to your life right now, Yvonne. I do think your ability to look on the bright side and see that you're still under LIW from last round whereas without HCG and with all the inflammation from the injury plus that from the increased activity might have really done a number on the scale . . . temporarily, of course.

You know what's best for you, as always--or you're willing to experiment and find out. So I won't give you any advice about whether to stop the round or not. But I hope whatever you choose to do, you will do so mindfully and with the big picture in mind as far as setting yourself up well for stabilization and future rounds. Big love to you, friend! Count your wins, like that magnificent commitment to those steps! XO
