Sounds like you're doing well, Yvonne, and I'm glad to hear it! It strikes me that your losses are actually quite good given all you've been dealt right now. I hope you're still enjoying the movement and good sleep, etc., and not just blindly chasing a goal. Personally, I've taken a step back (pun intended) from my daily step goals with frigid temps and what just feels like a need for more rest. I'm reassessing it from day to day. But you do what's best for you, of course! Just wanted to offer my experience.

Hang in there with the busyness. . . . And keep taking care of you! XO

No, I decided not to complicate things, I did my skip day on Friday....and then was hungry in the evening and with feeling the way I did, I did not want to complicate things, My lunch on Sunday was fairly healthy small meal and I passed on the dessert

Started walking again but now I have this thing in my head that I have to make up die missing 20,000 steps.... But I am very tired in the mornings, So thinking of getting a Vit B complex, as I will need it over the next couple of weeks, and If I do not walk early morning chances are I will not make my steps....

I know it sounds crazy that I feel I have to do the 10,000 steps... I joined a 280,000 challenge at the start f Feb, and I am doing so well... so still want to chase that goal

I am not stressing about the scale, and I am staying on protocol

    Did weigh this morning
Total loss so far is 6kgs/13.2 lbs,
of which 3.5/7.7 from LIW, and
    4.5/10lbs from pre load weight...
I did not expect much from this round.... It is slow, but it is still losses....

Sorry I am so quiet... I am just insanely busy and it is work sleep and eat at this stage....

    Look after yourselves ***

Glad you checked in this morning, Yvonne (such a beautiful name, btw). You feel like you aren't haven't a good round, but 13.2 pounds down is not that bad! Are you kind of obsessive/compulsive personality? Or just goal oriented? you shouldn't be so hard on yourself about missed steps. I think you just weren't feeling 100%. Sounds like you have extremely busy time at work right now--so try and not beat yourself up. We can only do so much sometimes!

Haha... not quite OCD....although in general we are often in the habit of using the term
Out of context... yes I am very particular... and I ofter say that I do nothing in small measures... for me it is all or noting... once I set out to do something... i am focussed, come hell or high water...goal orientated ? Most definitely!.... partly my competitive nature... i am in permanent competition with myself if that makes any sense... My parents died when I was very young... so in a way it is a conscious effort of learning and daily self improvement and being responsible for my own growth and learning... if it makes sense

Ps.. I am a believer that if anything is worth doing... it is worth doing well, or not at all... I put in 500% and when I am confronted by things I cannot control, understand or explain.... i will work harder to make it work... and if in turn, it does not work.... i get frustrated... so to alleviate frustration and extra added stress... right now i am out of character by not being pedantic about the numbers and caring for myself and yet not quitting

Morning all.. Just a quick check in...
    Still on Protocol....
17,000 plus steps yesterday to make up for lost steps over the weekend (have a February challenge to meet!)

So after being stuck at exactly 77Kgs/169.4 for a few days now....
I was very excited to weigh this morning as I thought that those calories burnt MUST show up SOMEWHERE!!....
But it is not that easy... scale did not budge...ever with 3 attempts

Then I thought...How I always say, a cheat does not bite you the day after the cheat, but often 2 or three days after... So I guess the same applies when you are burning calories...I am hopeful for a big move soon....

I do realise that the 10 Kgs between 70-80kgs has been an average for me over many years and it will be harder to shed and I must just be patient..... and Miss M's musings also made me think... how I deliberately expected a reward in the scale dropping, instead of just doing the exercise because it makes me feel good and helps with the stress and simply because it is good for my health.... I need the mind shift that... what I do must not be in an effort to drop weight, but rather to live my life in such a way that I will automatically not have to worry about the scale... the knowing that if I focus on a healthy lifestyle I will never have to worry about the scale again.... but that's what to be mindful of in P3....

For now I take what I can get...5.4/11.9 including Load weight and 4.1/9.0lbs net loss from LIW making it a total loss of 14.1/31 lbs since end september

Wait, are you off injections but sticking to VLCD?

And yes, that's the dream, isn't it? To find a way to live that is sustainable and healthy and allows us to simply trust our weight will remain stable and that all the clothes in our closet will fit forever!!!

    Cheers to that, my friend!

31 pounds is nothing to sneeze at, btw. Congratulations!!!

noooo that would be looking for trouble!! especially with my long history of not eating and creating Metabolic Melt down.... not going there ever again!

I have decided not to do a Planned interruption... have just over a week left, but cannot do the 3 days with no shots smack bang on our craziest 3 days, so I will extend by 3 days and take my last injection probably on 2 March Trying to squeeze out what I can till then

Because it is such a funny round I will eat correctly in P3 but only be mindful of not going OVER the 2 lbs window... I will try to stick to the lower window as well, but will see where my body goes

I really enjoyed the posts here this morning, Yvonne., and Miss M--agree with justgetterdone--I want to work on doing the same. Once I have lost the weight needed on hcg, I sincerely want to live my life in a way that I won;t be obsessed about the scales--because I'm eating healthy. That should be the goal for all of us, it really should--not so much numbers on a scale. That being said, exercise might not be key to losing weight on HCG, but it is certainly key to good health. I admire your dedication to your steps, I haven't started all that yet. Once the weather turns warmer and snow and ice gone--actually, I probably won't start the exercise in ernest until after my finish of this round, during P3, but I definitely plan on moving a lot more, following your example. I'm already doing a few floor exercises, but am afraid to do too much, because I know to start could cause extreme soreness, inflammation. At this point I'll just wait. But I know you are doing the right thing, moving is healthy. My dogs could stand to lose a little and we will definitely be walking a lot this spring. With 25-30 lbs of Surplus weight gone, it will be much easier on the joints. I remember when I used to run 5 miles daily. No way now. Summer before last ran in the pool every day, that was wonderful. Hope the pool will open this summer, because of covoid, it didn't open last year. I really missed it--that also contributed to weight gain during covoid!

You're almost done with your round--good for you. Hope your stressful days ease up soon, I think your stats are not bad at all. We have to look at big picture.

Thanks Dubbles. You need to remember it is summer here. So it meed my sunshine and vit D and my fur-baby is to n heaven, because I either walk within the complex or s local park where her is off-lead .. so i get my serious steps and he get all his sniffs and marking of territory without being bound by s lead

I started my serious steps towards the end of January because I experienced anxiety attacks in the middle of the night... its not only my deadline , if is also the anxiety of the stresses of covid on small and large businesses alike...and at my age?... it is daunting...

Know what, I DO forget it is warm there now ! Canít wait! We are small business owners too, we only have 7 employees. Thank goodness we have stayed actually really busy during covoid, but have gone they stresses of several recessions in years of business. DH actually went to appointment about a construction job today, even Tho his guys were off today. But so sympathetic about high stress periods with business! And often things like exercise can really help
With that! Take care snd have a great day!

    Thanks Dubbles...
I am also doing the walking as a support for my neighbour, she thinks she looks like a whale, and having not as much to lose as me, the scale moves slower for her, but she has had a nice loss so far... The way I see it is that I have inflammation with the boob in any case, I am usually very active, but with by jobs being such that I am glued to a computer screen from 8 - 4:30... i had to do SOMETHING.... and That's when I committed to a February Challenge on my Garmin... and having lost the steps over the weekend I had to make up for it, I will also put in extra steps over the weekend because I know Tuesday - through to Thursday is going to be hard to even steps to get to the bathroom!! and as you know by know.... I am goal driven and i like observing the numbers

Speaking of numbers - I updated my measurements spreadsheet and the proof is in the pudding!! during the last round I lost an average of 10.6 centimetres per week over 6.5 weeks and total scales loss was 10kgs
This round I have lost 13.25 centimetres per week over 4 weeks...
this is against load weight (6.9 km) or LIW (4.4km
tomorrow is measurement day again, but It is pretty stable
I noticed the inches over the past few days, the leggings I was wearing, were all saggy on me....
i even tried on a few pairs of trousers that were too tight a month ago and 5 found their way back into my cupboard!!

A true reflection of what the protocol is all about.... POUNDS and inches!
So, I say... do not let the scale get the better of us....I would rather have a lower scale value and I am firmed up...and Healthier!

    anyways, let me rune
    Toodles all!
