and the Saga of the vengeful scale continues!!!!

48hrs down and another 600g/1.3lbs down....
would not budge is 3 weeks and now within two days sans HCG I am now officially outside of me 2 pound window...
but lets see what that sneaky scale has in mind for tomorrow, at the start of P3

One thing I am grateful for these past two rounds of HCG, is that I am starting to experience hunger which is a novel feeling for me
I started out this morning having to have a fruit to relieve my hunger.. HCG is fast wearing off!

Dubbles I saw a post from you and wanted to respond to it but now cannot find it...so I will answer here
My big problem is that i do not overeat...I under-eat, because I seldom experience hunger, I simply forget to eat, and therefore during P3, I need to count calories to get an idea of how much of what I would normally pack into a day gives me sufficient calories, I am not concerned about the calories, but more so than to see roughly where I should aim for, also considering that I will continue my 10,000 vigorous step regime going forward and I need to be mindful of calories in and calories out going forward...

so as of now... fingers crossed 48hrs into cross over and I am down 1.1kgs/2.4lbs from LIW.... we can only wait and see...

Nice neat number today at 75kg/165lb
    have an awesome day bunnies!

Your beginning to experience hunger is a sure sign of health I'd say, Yvonne. So hooray for that! I, too, have been experiencing tremendous hunger, but that's another story altogether. Hunger is not a bad thing. It's how we respond to it. . . .

And that trickster, the scale! Too funny. I wouldn't be surprised if you continue to drop as the inflammation continues to resolve itself in your body. Any updates about that, friend? Any surgery on the horizon? How's the pain and the gut and managing candida, etc.? Haven't heard anything lately.

Happy days transitioning into P3, and cheers to the weekend. . . .

yes... I am happy about that, But I think it is also having been consistent throughout P2 and P3 and P4 for eating 3 meals and 2-3 snaks a day, I think my brain is now reminding me when it is food time - as I said on another thread - in essence my food choices are not bad - it is skipping meals, and then end up eating the wrong stuff.....

I spoke to another friend of mine who is not very good at dieting, but two of her friends in teh same complex as her are very diet conscious, so now she is coming around and will do the keto (no carbs no sugars from Sunday Night to Friday evening and then have more freedom over the weekends... so I want to see if I can download that book you spoke of for her

I don't like harping on the negatives, it makes me feel that I am blaming slow losses on it and get becomes old news.... Pain comes and goes, cannot even CONSIDER surgery before end of April and so it is also good to rather loose all my weight before then to help with the symmetry when they do fix it, still badly inflamed and bigger than the other

Re The gut health - After my first week of P2 I stopped taking the extra yogurt with which I took my prebiotics.... will be able to start again tomorrow But my stomach feels better

Candida? Not so sure it is Candid and will do a round of that stuff this weekend - because I do not see the white thrush, just a specific itchy spot and that comes and goes.... I think it might even be a Psoriasis spot... I have it pop up here and there and everywhere on my body especially when under stress.....and that I just have to sit out it comes and goes....

Happy days transitioning into P3, and cheers to the weekend. . . .
Yip, most definitely not planning an overindulgent weekend, I learned from my past P3 start.... My stomach does not like feeling full!!

Enjoyed reading your postings, and back and forths with Miss M and WB. Not much to add here, I have read before that Keto can be difficult for a lot of women. I just can't do it properly, like having so many fats, and keeping track of it all. Hope everyone on forums enjoys the weekend and upcoming P3 meals. Wish I was there with you.

    Dubbles... thanks
I am not really doing the complicated Keto... remember... life going forward is a new normal... i am not planning a full on life long DIET.... its more about incorporating principles that can work for me.... i am not planning on eating excessive fats... i will not necessarily eat more fats than I feel comfortable with... i generally gravitate towards the lower carb veggies and sugar free products ... during my past p3 and P4 i tested for keto ... and my inclusions kept me in perfect Keto... obviously my plan as i feel comfortable will have a little leeway

FWIW, I think often when we speak casually about keto here what we really mean is low carb. I believe keto initially was meant as a treatment for epilepsy wherein fats are the primary source of calories that helps curb the kind of brain stimulation that causes seizures. No doubt that's a terrible oversimplification if not slightly inaccurate portrayal . . . but it seems the diet industry has picked up on the skeleton of the idea and run with low carb but calls it keto. I've also read that ketone test strips aren't actually an accurate reflection of whether or not the body is in ketosis. . . . though that may neither be here nor there.

Anyway, I think we all generally agree that eating primarily non starchy veg, proteins, and some healthy fats, while avoiding sugars and starches is probably the healthiest way of eating for us and that it even is likely sustainable (with some fruit and wine and maybe the occasional potato or what have you) for the long haul without feeling like a diet. If you wanna call it keto, I don't mind, but I think that's the crux of our semantical variance.

You are absolutely correct. In fact, for receipes--I'm going to scan keto books as well as "low carb". And I do agree that primarily eating non-starchy vegs, and some healthy fats is the way to go. Making allowances for occasional treat, or carb food. I go wrong by "occasional". It becomes daily and I forego the thinking, get back to the 2 lb window! That will be crucial for me, I think--really living by that rule. Once it gets to be 5-10 lbs, seems like it a gone deal.
