    Need help with dosage

Hello! I need help finding the right dosage. I'm on day 12 and the first week went very well with 125 IU. The last few days I am more hungry in the morning and midday, evening is a little bit better. I don't want to skip a day because I want to do a short round of 23 injections. Today I tried 100 I.U. and I was ravenous the whole day from morning until now, I had to eat more protein and one more apple. 125 I.U. felt better. Can you help me If I should increase or decrease dosage to feel better with hunger?
    Thank you

Unfortunately, you can't just change dose without doing a skip day. The skip day allows you to diagnose the direction you need to adjust. If you make changes without doing the skip day, you may go in the wrong direction and lose a week or more of your P2 trying to get to a correct dose. To do a proper skip day that will give you the best guidance, you need to have been on the same dose for at least 4 previous days.

So you are in a difficult spot right now. My suggestion is to make a decision whether to return to your original 125iu dose or choose to go to 150iu. Stay there for 4 days, then do a skip day. Then take note of your hunger level in the late afternoon of the skip day (assuming you take your dose in the morning). The result should give you a clear signal which way to adjust.

Thank you for your fast answer Leez! I know that I normally would have to do a skip day, but I really want to end the diet friday next week. Simeons told to have minimum of 23 Injections, so I think skip day= no injection= one more diet/ Injection day. In my opinion the smaller dosage with more hunger should be a sign that it was too low. Otherwise I wouldnt feel better with 125 I.U... I will find it out the next days

Leez I need your help again!!!I am so desperated. I switched to my old dose (125 I.U.) the last days and it was better but still not perfect with my hunger. I had to increase calories and ate one more portion protein, one more apple and grissini because of hunger. But then I was always fed up and satisfied. Energy was ok. But I couldn't stay with 500 calories. Today I decided to skip injection to really find out the perfect dose and to get further with the diet. But I was ravenous the whole morning, ate all 500 calories and now it's midday and I cheated because of extreme hunger. I must say that I my period should start the next days... I know I have to wait until 4 o'clock pm but now I already cheated with a portion of rice pudding and a handful grissini....What can I do now?

The problem is that hunger symptoms can be the same for either too high or too low dose the first part of the skip day. Do the best you can with hot drinks and if you must eat, protein is the best choice. If you are still ravenously hungry late afternoon, then increase your dose tomorrow to 150iu.

Your period could be messing with things a bit.

That ravenous hunger caused by a wrong dose isn't satisfied with food, so that makes me wonder about the viability of your HCG. Have you tested a dose on a pregnancy test strip? Even a faint positive means your HCG is good.

Several hours later: Cheated a lot with "healthy things" like oatmeal, pretzel stick (around 2400 kcal). I thought I couldn't stop it. But I always a problem with ravenous hunger during period. But now it's 16.30 (live in germany). Hunger is completely gone and feel full and satisfied. I don't think about eating anymore.. Maybe it was a mix of PMS and wrong dose. Leez, do you think I could try a lower dose tomorrow with 100 I.U. . If necessary I can it increase during the day...Don't think my hcg is off, in my opinion I can "feel" it working after several rounds the last 8 years and I would't have survived the last days with around 800 calories.

Next time you feel so ravenous, even on hcg, eat something with healthy fats. Perhaps a couple of pats of butter, melted into a cup of bone broth, bouillon, or coffee. Do this as soon as the hunger strikes, and force yourself to wait at least 30 minutes before eating anything else. Go for a walk, even if it's just down to the corner and back. Hunger can be very much "in your head" and difficult to resist. Eating carbohydrates when hungry often results in a blood sugar spike, then a crash; eating a little bit of fat does not cause that. I always start my day, even on hcg, with a cup of coffee with heavy cream. For a mere 50 kcals of cream, I get great satisfaction and it staves off hunger pangs.

    Hi rosa,
At this point, you can try whatever you like as you were unable to complete the skip day.

But I always [have] a problem with ravenous hunger during period.
Going on a carb binge does sound to me like you are a PMS victim. For the future, it might be an important key to your success to schedule your HCG round to avoid your period.

Remember that you got super hungry when you lowered your dose to 100iu last time, so be aware that may happen again. Except it could be worse since you are already one day without HCG.

What makes it difficult in dose adjustment is that it takes 3 days of overlapping doses to achieve the actual dose. So changing dose day to day without having a consistent dose for 4 days means you really don't 'know what dose your body is on.

It is my GUESS that you may find you need to go up rather than down. But I really can't say definitively at this point and could very easily be wrong. Hope you hit it right.

One thing you could try is intramuscular injection. You would need a longer needle. But with intramuscular, almost everyone does well on the 125iu dose.

If you are on the correct dose, there will be no need to have any tricks to deal with hunger. The more usual issue with correct dose is that hunger will be so non-existent that you forget to eat.

Perhaps it would help to do a little more troubleshooting. If you are doing this round too close to the last one, you could be facing immunity issues. I see that you posted that you started a round the end of June this year. Which round are you on, and how much time did you allow between previous rounds?

Update: last two days with 100 I.U. were perfect! Almost no hunger and normal energy level. Conclusion: Do your skip days! One day of another dose doesn't really show anything.
    Leez,
1)I tried 2 rounds with intramuscular injection and it never was successful like subcutaneous. I still had issues with the dose and had to lower it...
2)Immunity does'nt feel the same, I had immunity issues years ago and had to eat normal every day because of hunger.
3)After a long break of more than 2 years this is my third round and I did a break of 10 weeks after the second one, so this should't be a problem (in another thread you said, that it is possible to count new after a long break). I think I made a lot of my own experiences, so sometimes I know better for my self what is best....

Thank you everybody for your help!

Glad to hear you got yourself back on track. All the best for a successful round.

And yes, for others reading.... If its been a year or more since doing an HCG round, you can count the new round as number 1.
