    Impossible weight loss ??

    Hello Everyone,

I think this is wrong and wondering if I didn't something wrong. I stepped on the scale today and it says I lost 9lbs, how is that possible? I weighed in the same spot, roughtly the same time. This is only day two VLCD, it doesn't make sense. Anyone else out there
    experience the same thing?

WELL, seems like a lot to me, but if you weighed in the same spot at around the same time (when you first wake up is most accurate, regardless of time), then I suppose it COULD be correct. Tomorrow will be a better indicator. Is that 9 lbs down from yesterday to today (so only one day)? Do you have a lot to lose?

Some people lose a lot the first week. Nine lbs in 2 days seems like a lot, but I don't know how heavy you are or how much you gained loading or how much water you were retaining. It is possible you lost that much. Did you weigh first thing in the morning both times? If you weighed any time other than first thing upon waking up in the morning, it doesn't count since weight fluctuates throughout the day.

I lost over 14 lbs the first week, so I do not think 9 lbs is ourside the realm of possibility. Some people gain alot during loading (I only gained 3 lbs), but they lose most of it in the first day or two. Does that sound like your experience? My feeling is that the first week is some water weight loss (and some fat), but over the next 23 to 40 days the net effect is all fat loss, because your weight goes down and doesn't come back up.
