I have been on a couple of other boards since I started this week....would love to join you all too.

Currently on R1/P2 VLCD#3...-6.5 so far even with TOM. Planning at least a 23 day round. Had a terrible headache yesterday, but it moved on. Tested my will power last night at a local rodeo with crappy food, and won!

Currently, my hubby is out of town on a 2 week work rotation...sure am hoping that there is less of me when he comes home next!!!

Would love to hear how others are changing up their menus to make it exciting and not mundane or boring and therefore staying on track.

You're hubby is going to not recognize you when he comes back I bet! I am also a mom of 2, do you find yourself putting your well being on the backburner until they are taken care of? I need to get a better management schedule, just because I'm about dead right now living off of 500 calories and chasing around two infants.

I've never been to a local rodeo, but I bet I can imagine what types of foods are there! LOL My friend went to a fair and posted a picture of a fried snickers and a fried oreo on facebook and it felt like I could smell it through my laptop!

As far as menu's go, I am pretty repetitive. Just because I like what I like and I have my staple foods, haha. I usually eat a burger and a tomato for lunch, then saute some onions and a piece of grilled chicken for dinner. Then I will eat strawberries as one fruit, then at night I've started sauteeing my apple, with some cinnamon and stevia and lemon juice on stove, covering it to steam it and getting them soft and delicious! I did yesterday, however, cooked my beef and ground it up, then added some chicken broth and my cut up tomatoes and a squirt of mustard on the stove, put the top on and cooked until the tomatoes were soft and made my own sort of soup. It was pretty dang tasty and filling!

Another thing I've done is cut up my celery (which makes so much celery, blech) and my piece of chicken and toss it with mustard making my own version of chicken salad. It was okay...not enough chicken per celery ratio, and I wish I could have added some cut up onions but I am strict about following protocol and too scared to mix veggies - just because I dont want to waste my money!

I just now sat down with my burger and tomatoes. So I'm hoping I feel better soon. I haven't felt this way at all since we began the diet. I'm VLCD6, and have lost about 8 pounds, which I feel good about. Haven't lost any in the past two days - but I've heard most people have a stall about here, so hoping it gets better.
Hey Banana1986 -- I had a day like that around day 6. I added in potassium and got consistent with my b12 and multi-vitamins and it went away the next day. I"m only on day 10 so we'll see. Hope you feel better.

Last round, I made some EFT videos using meridian tapping to address food cravings. Here are the links if interested. Each video is only a few minutes long and shows a round of tapping on each subject. 1) Generic cravings and 2) Sweet cravings and 3) Hot buttered bread

A lot of people use dried onion flakes.

I took my vitamins earlier today, don't feel any better - but do feel extra pukey. I took them with my fruit, but tomorrow and from now on am going to take them with my bigger meal in hopes of not feeling so sick. I really hope things go better tomorrow. I seriously can't feel this way and survive I don't think.

    Hi Banana -

I sure hope that's the case with my hubby!! Yes - I do put my family's care ahead of mine and have for too long and it is time to reverse that...my in-laws just moved to town in Sept and they have added alot of extra effort to my days as well...actually will be moving my MIL into an assisted living facility on Friday for some respite care with an eye to long term residency - WITHOUT my husband...STRESSFULL!!! Along with a job interview tomorrow...I am a bit sick to my stomach right now. I did pre make a chicken salad for tomorrow's lunch at least. Dinner could be easy...I think I will plan on some flounder fillets, salad greens from my garden and grilled or roasted cauliflower.

And Yes - the rodeo food was hot dogs, french fries a big hunk candy bar and a bag of popcorn...not a normal night for them by any stretch. Thankfully I had my water with me!!!

I mix my veggies right now...day 3 and so far so good even on TOM, so I will have to see how that goes. I also don't want to do the grains much so I have added in place of it, a half serving of a chocolate protein powder mixed with water and a bit of vanilla for an afternoon snack. I can see how being repetitive makes for easy planning and prepping...but I fear I am a foodie at heart and have to create...hopefully that doesn't bite me down the road LOL!!

All the best to you and everyone out there!!!

mmmm, yesterday had eggs instead of meat for one meal and lost more than usual. not sure if that was a fluke or is my body. will try again in a few days and see if same result!

I'm going to do eggs today for lunch, too. And they are farm fresh from my friend's chickens. The best tasting eggs I have ever had! I also had Miracle Noodles for the first time last night and they weren't bad. Kinda like rice noodles. Didn't effect my loss this morning. (which has been a steady .2/.4 drop a day now for 4 days....UGH!) I believe I hit that slow down in the second week and I'm sure I'm about to stall out. But I keep chugging along. No more hunger pains because I finally got my dosage right. So far so good!

Can eating too late make you gain/stay the same? I didn't cheat at all, was right about my 500 calories (about 24 under) and when I first weighed this morning I was up .14lbs. I don't understand, except that I ate dinner really late due to my son's baseball game. Also, I woke up late and left late for work so I didn't get my morning dose of drops. Will I be "ok" or should I try to run home on lunch to take them?

Peggy - I don't eat anything past 630-7pm. That's one reason why I find it so aggravating in getting the cramps under control.

FINALLY!!!! Headed south on the scales….down 4.5 since yesterday morning after not losing load weight……I am still lowering my dose a little today for the hunger problem and I am going to leave off fruit and replace with protein per the grannies. This is getting a little frustrating because I am day 8 of injections and not down more than 3.5 pounds net……BUT I'M NOT GIVING UP…….I believe this will work. I want to lose the FAT not the weight. I have done starvation diets for years with success…..but , yawl things are jiggly and wiggly now even when the scales say I have lost 15-20 pounds….I want to lose FAT and build muscle……..so I'm not giving up!
