ExNavy - LOL, that is too funny about the chili. Did they let you keep it?

Did pretty good out of town. Lost another lb from Fri morning. 15.5 more to go! I ran out of meals until Wed so I will really have to be careful. I am hoping to be 155 by Tuesday morning...154 would be even better.

They replaced everything and even let me keep two extra chilis to get me the extra day of Friday.

As you can see in my signature, things are progressing well.

I ran 3 miles yesterday and will CrossFit today at noon.

Still at 155.5 Better than nothing. Goal by Friday 153.5

I had wine Sunday night because it was a bottle I had been saving for 4 yrs until my son graduated from military school. It sure tasted great. Plus his MSgt gave us a bottle of his homemade wine as well. I didn't drink them all by myself! I had family over Sunday night for spaghetti and we all raised our glass to toast him. He is enlisted in the Marines and ships out Jan 14th. The wine did drop my blood sugar and I wanted to cheat SOOOOO bad after everyone left, but I made it through. Was pretty proud of that. I only ate a couple meatballs and some salad that night. I defintely went over the cals with the wine, but at least I lost a lb over the holiday weekend.

Good job ExNavy! How is everyone else doing?

You can find it at Amazon.com. Lori Prinster, The HCG Weight Loss Cure Workbook (or Guidebook). The current edition is the red one (not the blue one). It's about $25.00. Well worth it! (Sorry for the delay in response - I was away for the long weekend).

I am frustrated today. When I get this way I just want to go back to my original plan and do 21 days instead of 30. NO loss yesterday and potentially a gain today?! (I use 2 scales. One said no loss, One said gain of .2) Since I thought we weren't supposed to excercise when I began I haven't been doing so. I have been an athlete since I was 6 years old, did high school and college sports and have participated in many runs. Excercise is certainly not foreign to me but since I've not done any (aside from a fair amount of walking) I am hesitant to begin now (Day 16 of the diet.) My husband and sister were eating cake last night and I didn't have any but my thought was "in the morning, the scale will reward you." I understand that the reward needs to be feeling better and being good to my body but it sure would have helped if the scale said -anything today! Grrrr!

iluvprotein - HANG IN THERE! Don't give up. I haven't seen losses everyday either, but I figure its becaue this is R3. It sux that we can't eat that way anymore, but try to remember how AWESOME you feel when your clothes fit better or when your weight isn't bringing you down anymore or when one more person compliments how great your looking. It's worth the effort now! I know for me that feeling of confidence is worth it. It's only for a while longer. Have you tried walking 30 min a day?

I am finally down to 155. 15 more to go.

    Hope everyone is doing GREAT

I am on day 25 and I am down 37.6 pounds which I am a little shocked because a friend of mine brought over some alcohol (spiced Rum) and I decided to give it a try to see what would happen as far as losing weight or stalling etc... So I had the rum on the rocks and that was it. The whole time I drank the alcohol I was conerned that I was messing up my diet and I was going to stall for a few days or so, and the worst part is, is that I DID NOT enjoy the taste at all, it was disgusting and I could barely finish it, but I did since I commited to the drink anyways. And I skipped my meat and had just my veggies for dinner
I am happy to report I lost 4 pounds the next day and I had tons of water after I drank the rum.
I am happy with that and I can say I will NOT be drinking alcohol again on my diet and I will await to see what happens tomorrow with the scale, I just think of dehydration was the only reason I lost soo much weight the next day.
I WISH EVERYONE A SAFE AND EVENT FILLED WEEKEND

Woodrow - omg, you're doing so great! Congrats to you!! I wanted to tell you I almost always have a loss the next morning if i have alcohol the night before. I am hoping since you drank all that water it will stay off. Keep us posted on that. I usually don't bother drinking water if I am having several drinks. I miss Margaritas so much, I looooooove them. I live in Texas and we have Mexican restaurants everywhere. I'm trying to have the mindset that those are not a part of me anymore, lol. Too much sugar and cals! It's just not doable if you are maintaing your weight. I know I could have one from time to time, but they are like Lays potato chips to me. I just can't have one!

I went to a baseball game last night and had one beer. I was pretty hungry all day yesterday, but stayed on track. I am just tired and cannot wait to sleep tomorrow morning! The past few days I took 1/2 an a phentermine and it always messes my sleep up. I am down another 1/2 lb to 154.5 My goal is to be 140 by July 18th. That leaves me 46 days. I am on VLCD23. Not sure if I can lose 15 lbs in 20 days, most likely not at the rate it is coming off. I might keep taking shots until it does.

I walk 30 min a day at least when I am at work. I work at a hospital so I sometimes walk 3-5 miles (handy pedometer :-) Lately, I haven't done "excercise" on my days off because of strep throat and a (more recently) a root canal. Talk about a rough couple weeks! LOL. Walking is no big deal and I will resume on my next few days off. Just wish I felt like hitting the gym would be a GOOD idea as opposed to a means of halting the minimal losses I've had as of late. I've stayed on protocol perfectly if not omitted things we are allowed and I'm sticking with this but I gotta get it out when I'm frustrated especially to folks who get it. Thanks to you for "listening." I'm planning to omit gluten from my diet as well as the majority of other carbohydrates long term. I don't see this diet as something that is temporary; more like a jump start. I just hope my jump start leaves me 25 lbs lighter! (30 lbs would be FANTASTIC.) Regardless, I am going to start some body weight strength training during my final week (abs, body weight squats and lunges, perhaps some curls and tricep extensions using 5 or 10 lb weights...)

Anyway - those are my random thoughts for today. Again, thanks for the support!

Susan ... today is my first day to go pick up my Dinner Dude food in Bellaire.

Last week it was delivered to me because of the kitchen shutdown. So I am expecting a much better variety this week. I was pleased with what they sent me, but I see the published menu on the website shows many more different foods.

Things are going great though. I've been posting mostly over on another thread:

P2 Be True - mid May starters wanna group up?

But, glad to see everyone over here doing so well.
