Woke with headache again this morning and still not sleeping well but down 2 more pounds on the morning of VLCD3. So thaT is motivating. Total for 2VLCDs is 2.8 pounds. Still urinating a loT. I'll just keep drinking. Not incredibly hungry (besides tummy growls that water healos with) but that doesn't seem to effect my instinctive habit to reach for a treat or crackers or nuts. We are an "eat out" family and I'm finding ways to order food that stick to the limits. But i'm still struggling with no dessert. And I sure wish I could nab 8 good hours of sleep. But all in all... I feel ok! How are you guys feeling? Think I might try some cottage cheese tonight. I've been told it's not a "cheat" because it's on Dr. S's original program. I feel like I need the calcium. Oh hey, can anyone instruct me on how to do a ticker? I'd love it. Hope you all find some satisfactory losses! Onward!

After VLCD 2 I've lost 4.8 pounds...I'm pleased because for some reason I only gained 1 pound during load. So bye bye fat!

    Hi, ladies.

Saidbyme - Thanks for the quote. Totally hear you, I cannot cheat at all. It ends up taking 3 days to recover and trying to do a short round.

Meow - Sorry for the headache. It should be better in a few days. Just click on my ticker and it will take you to page. Then you set up your own ticker, copy the info and paste it into your signature box.

    astroglet - Great loss!

    Pleep - Super job!

AFM, had a very small loss today. It was weird, I suddenly felt yesterday afternoon like my load weight just hit me. I weighed 2 lbs over what I had at the same time the day before. So, hopefully tomorrow will be a better loss. I am always a very slow loser. Everyone have a great day!

And when I grew up we didnt have alot so I am used to the basics. I season my food with chili powder, cumin, curry powder, italian seasoning, and garlic salt. And that is perfectly fine with me, today I didnt season anything and everything tasted perfectly fine. Like you said the more options you have tend to tempt me, but I know what the end results will be, just like the first round.

I stalled out today, but I am ok with that. I will lose it eventually I usually lose what I should have in a day or two after my body pee's out the excess water. But I have noticed being tired at the end of the night, like hey go to bed or I am going to shut your body down for you, and then I was out.
I still have a little hunger has anyone, noticed that on their second round? I am adjusting my does lower, to I think it was 125 ius today, still a little hunger here and there, water helps but it comes right back.
On my first round after I got my dose corrected I had no hunger at all, until the end when I started to become immune.
    I am doing intramuscular injections.

Hey Meow! Great job on your first round so far! I'm in round 5, so I've learned a few things. A tip re: headaches: I usually have headache on the first week on at least one day. I learned to eat more fat when loading to decrease hunger and headaches in week #1, just as Lori Prinster suggests in her workbook. I found that if I eat my fruit separate from my meals, and space things out every few hours, starting around lunch time, it keeps my blood sugar more level and therefore less headache also. I specially need an orange or strawberries mid-afternoon in that regard. A thought about cottage cheese: It's not really an allowable cheat unless you really can't stand meat, according to the protocol. (Eggs can be eaten also for the same reason - 1 whole egg plus 3 egg whites). It's really an early P3 food. See what happens, but it might slow you down depending on your response to dairy. Keep up the good work!

Just a thought: My own personal experience is that weighing in every morning is the only thing that helps me know what my body is doing so I can adjust the diet as I go along. And it was the only thing that helped me keep off the weight after my last round. When I stop weighing, I start gaining, because it is too easy to fool myself.
My husband was not good at weighing himself between rounds, and he gained a lot of his weight back every time. Getting into the habit of weighing yourself when you ARE losing might be the best insurance for keeping up the habit when you are maintaining.

Not sure I'm impressed since the HCG is making me pee like a racehorse but I will be impressed if I see that kind of loss daily. Grapefruit with 3 packages of Xylosweet has been my saving grace (these two looonng days, geez you'd think I've been doing this forever) Helps trick my body which is suffering greatly from the sugar withdrawl. I woke up this morning and my whole body ached. Better now tho. My husband is a physician and not a big fan of this protocol but is trying to be supportive of my efforts. He said I can expect to feel like I have the flu for several days since I am basically detoxing off sugar. Anyway... I hope you are all finding today easier than yesterday. I'm thankful not to have a headache. Questions: anyone else constipated? I'm afraid the HCG (and the peeing) are taking a toll on my colon. I always drink lots of water so my intake hasn't increased that much. I take a daily probiotic and suffer now and then from being plugged but the degree is a bit worrisome. Also, anyone having trouble sleeping while taking the drops?

    Onward!

My husband and I found that a magnesium and potassium supplement was really helpful with constipation, and for me with muscle cramps. SolarRay (at health food stores) has a good magnesium and potassium asporatates blend that worked well for us.

Guess this reply might be a bit late! We start the drops before our meal on Friday evening. We begin VLCD on Monday morning.
