Oof I did it again. After baby R1 begin 7/25/2022

I discovered HCG over 10 years ago, lost almost 40 lbs and mostly kept it off for YEARS. I was healthier and happy with my body. I was making smart food choices and keeping active even when pregnant, and surprisingly lost all of the baby weight within 2 months.

Then came Covid lockdowns and an unexpected layoff which caused a lot of stress and self soothing through food (since there was literally nothing else to do being trapped at home with a baby). I'm making excuses... There's absolutely no reason why I shouldnt have been more mindful about eating junk and gaining weight.

I'm embarrassed to be at 212.6 lbs... The heaviest I've ever been. I'm hoping I can lose at least 25 lbs before my wedding in October and my ultimate goal is 50 lbs.

    Thank you for the encouragement!

I loaded Monday and Tuesday so today, Wednesday, is my first VLCD day. I don't feel very prepared this time around, it's been over 7 years since I did a round. I'm hoping a lot of things come back to me.

Only gained a lb in loading so official start weight is 213.6 lbs.

    Here goes nothing!

First day is the toughest mentally, then once you settle in, you'll be amazed how easy it is. I always thought the best gift is the weigh in on day 2 of P2. I almost always lost my whole load weight plus a little more. You'll do great!

Thank you for the kind words and support! My husband woke up feeling sick today and tested positive for Covid. I'm negative, but feeling under the weather a bit

I decided to push through and eat VLCD today in hopes of a good weigh in tomorrow to keep me motivated.

This is harder than I remember.

Sorry about your husband, but it could affect you too. The positives do not always show up right away. If you find yourself sick, please don't try to continue the protocol. Its too much stress on a sick body.

I was down to 211.6 today so a loss of 2lbs. That's pretty standard for my first VLCD loss and I'm happy to see the scale moving in the right direction despite having a really difficult first day.

I am much MUCH hungrier than usual. I checked my HCG for potency and it immediately turned a strip bright pink with 2 lines, so it's good. I'm going to have to play around a little with dosage I think.

I'm still testing negative for Covid, but I am feeling run down. I'm adding in a little extra protein to hopefully help out my immune system and I'm eating generous portions of veggies. If I end up testing positive I'm going to go off of HCG but keep to P2 and P3 foods until I'm feeling better.

210.2 lbs today so the scale continues to move in the right direction. Myself and my toddler are still negative for Covid and I'm grateful for that, but handling everything around the house and the kiddo's needs on top of working full time and taking care of DH is exhausting.

I waited a little while to take my injection today and my hunger wasn't bad, so I reduced my dose. So far, so good. MUCH better than the first 2 days!

I ended up testing positive for Covid on Friday afternoon, so I decided to skip my injections over the weekend and eat mostly P2 foods and add some extra protein and healthy fats for some extra fuel for my immune system.

I'd already gone ahead and prepared a few portions of P2 chili and chicken soup and they were perfect to heat up quickly when I got hungry or felt empty.

I'm down to 208.4 lbs today which makes me happy, especially considering being sick and starting my period. I'm not sure how to get back into the injections/ diet at this point. I'm thinking take another day off and wait until I get a negative test back then do one load day before going back to VLCD?

    Any suggestions?

Its all about how you feel. If you are feeling weak or fatigued in any way, its best to hold off until you are feeling more normal to restart. That might even take a couple weeks. You don't want to be still fighting the tail end of your infection when you restart HCG. You will have to reload and start over regardless. Whenever you restart, you must count the injections you've already taken as part of the maximum 40 dose days.

I took a week to recover and feed my body healthy fats and more protein and I loaded over the weekend. After day 1 of VCLD I am at 208.8, so only up slightly from where I left off. Counting the first 5 days and loading I am at day 9 of injections, so I will have to keep that in mind.

This time starting over I FEEL GOOD. My hunger is controlled very well and I feel like I am in the groove. If I could get down to 190 before the end of this round I would be happy. That's only about 0.6 lbs per day avg if I go to 40 days which should be doable!
